General Macrostock / Event/Celebrity Agency?

Hi Guys,

I'm trying to find an agency in the UK that deals with Events and general celebrity shots (Not paparazzi). Any recommendations for that?

Cheers

Hey Ralf, I'd be happy to buy you a beer ;D

May thanks to you all. I think I have enough info to go on with. I am looking in the long-term and intend to keep my submissions going. Right now, I'm getting together a shoot (in spare time at work!).

Thanks again

Ooops, correction RH, Apologies, I didn't realise I'd signed up on IS all that time ago! The difference is, I'm absolutely serious now. It's taken me a while to find my path as it were :-)

Ha ha! @ RH :D No offence taken.

I know I have a long, long way to go but I really just want an indication of how long it would take to get a living out of Microstock. Oh, and it's 100 images rather than 33  ;)

I'm in the UK. I wouldn't say the cost of living is extremely high but I struggle on my current wages! :-)

Hi Guys,

I'm fairly new to Micro-stock, although not to Photography. I'm hoping to make the move to full-time. I'm currently in a job I don't enjoy and the thought of making a living with Photography, my real passion in life, is very attractive.

Currently I have 100 images with SS and about 50 in other libraries. Thats getting me an average of 4 sales or $1 a day on SS and not much on the others. Realistically, how long and how many images does it take to start thinking about resigning from my job and going full time? I'm just after a rough timescale here.

I still have reasonable acceptance and fairly good views but few sales. I'm just hoping that if i submit enough, that will change.

OK, This may be a silly question but;

I have a few shots of various cars. Would the main stock sites accept these considering that most include the car manufacturers logo in the bodywork? I could easily retouch them out but I feel this would be mis-representing said cars.

TIA

Anyone know if this is affecting approval times too?

Is it my imagination but do freshly uploaded and approved files take a few days to start getting viewed?

If I may join in...

I took my first picture at the tender age of 7 with a Kodak Instamatic 126  :D Later, on my 14th birthday, my father bought me a Zenit(h) TTL which I used for many years.

I currently use an EOS 1D MkII and love it!

Hi Guys,

I'm a newbie on here. Been watching and reading for a while. I hope I can eventually be as useful, eventually, as a lot of posters I have seen.

I joined Cutcaster last week, primarily for John's amazing drive and manner. I understand the system is being moved to different servers. Anyone know how long this is going to take? I'm eager to continue submissions.

TIA - Steve
