I will not comment the previous posts, but as this is on topic, would like to tell you that we're doing consistency monitoring constantly and that I have asked special attention to be given to the "Well covered" reason for the near future.
While the reason was usually associated with others (like lack of composition for instance), we will try to focus now on those reasons solely. This way we aim to show the problem itself, without any reference to what we have online.
Hopefuly this will help.

No, they didnt cancel my account... Im just banned from posting in the forums. I can still read the threads though, and i can still read PMs that people send me. But when i send a pm - the content is changed to SHUTTERSTOCK-BANNED.

Did you perhaps post the link to the petition somewhere? I think this is what they hated the most. This is my only explanation why I was banned myself... EDIT: they suspended the account of the user who started the petition.

In defense of SS, they have almost immediately provided a whole forum just to discuss and try to reconcile this problem.
where I cannot post, since they baned me  And I think I was not alone because I really wasn't among the most emotional posters there. I did not even get a message telling me why exactly I'm baned. Perhaps because I posted a link to the petition there when another user asked what petition everyone was talking about. I don't think that they should treat contributors that way. Especially when they themselves have problems keeping control of their feelings.

I was just banned from the Shutterstock forum. Why I don't know - I kept the tone clean.

Now I will never figure out how to get all this paperwork done.

perhaps he got rude out of despair. It would appear he does not see any other choice and now watches how the contributors threaten to leave or leave already. This would ruin Shutterstock and he is well aware of that.

Try a search on 'Air Travel'.That's quite a wide subject with over 15k results however 75% of the images (out of the first 80) are essentially the same illustration with different backgrounds.
 Wonder, why this was not sieved out by "too many of the same..."-rejections!

It wasn't of course, although I had hopes, since istock and shutterstock accepted it and I already had some sales on it . In addition I received a "lack of composition" Here is my lack of composition:

strange! Yes your istock image looks less saturated and has less contrast. What RGB do you use? sRGB, Adobe RGB, whatever? sRGB is the most common and I always use it since it is supported by most browsers so it looks the same in all browsers. EDIT: istock seams to whatever color palette you use convert it to sRGB. Shutterstock and Dreamstime do not. This is an Adobe RGB image I uploaded and the one on SS looks paler since at least my firefox does not "translate" Adobe RGB:

yes I only do this with the images I like the most. I strongly consider it with this image which got rejected for overfiltering and lightning. Well I suppose the overfiltering is the Earth and the lightning is the white balance, which I intentionally kept warm... I printed the pic and I think it would lose with a different white balance and the Earth is supposed to be there... no resubmit btw!! I'll probably write exactly that to scout. But still not sure
