I noticed a few days ago how complicated it is to upload images to Dreamstime, and the model release management... I couldn't believe it's for real. Now considering that it takes 10 times more time and effort to upload to this site, at least for me, I think it would make sense to just leave it out completely. Does it make sense financially?

Getty is overrated and overvalued. A company that sells stock at higher prices and offers lower quality than any microstock agency should not be able to buy microstock. It should have been IS to but Getty. Obviously their interest is to kill the microstock market.

I had the same experience back when I used to upload to IS.

What's your favorite sites to upload these days? I find SS almost as bad as IS, but at least IS has plugins for various programs.

Best are DP and FT I think.

Wow, what?!? :o SS has the best batch editor. It's the best way if you have to choose categories. It's even better if there are no categories to choose, but only newer (and smaller) agencies have evolved so far. FT OTOH is just terrible, you have to finish the UL process one by one, attach MRs one by one, even click to add IPTC data. I'd say only IS is worse, because of the CV, log outs etc. DP is good, but you still have to choose categories and finish the process one by on. CS is best, I think, only upload, attach the MRs via the MR manager and that's it. But sites like DP, CS are a loss of time (even though they consume less time than most sites), the return is just pathetic 1-2% of SS makes. So I dropped them all

Well as far as I'm concerned, I need to get used to SS, I'm new there. But they rejected a batch of photos for very strange reasons. Mostly that the focus was incorrect or in the wrong place. But if I photograph a model using the rule of thirds I will still keep her eyes in focus. If SS wants me to focus in the center of the image then there is something wrong with them. Those are my top selling images somewhere else. So I stopped taking SS seriously after that. Maybe they have automated photo inspection.

DP is very efficient. I am very happy to be on that site. It's a great place for contributors but it's also a great place for buyers for many reasons.

My photos have been waiting for a week or so and nothing is happening yet. Also I received no replies to questions from customer support regarding something else. I am relatively new there but I'm a little disappointed.
