Check out this Sony CES demo video of it.  Starts in the video at 1:20

1. They are now fat with content and its time  to grab as much cash as they can.
2. Buyers will know what's going on and they do care about the people who make the images rather than a website.
3. A new stock site will rise quickly with great stuff, the'll pay the talent fairly and justly and  buyers will flock to it.
4. Buyers will always follow the talents not greedy websites.

You'all CHEER UP

and BYEstock !

Congrats to SS!!  Hope the decide to celebrate by giving us a raise!

YEA , and a raise on video would be nice since they take more than most others !

A price point below $50.00 USD IS NOT financially healthy or reasonable for a HD video contributors work.  HD video contributors should avoid selling their work to cheep, other wise the day will come quicker than you think when earnings are only in the cents for a HD video. Does this scenario sound familiar?

Dont allow your HD video to be sold for less than 50.00 !

cheers : )

General Stock Discussion / Re: Copycats

Hi

No this was not about "cupcake" but i have looked at the issue and looks like
a copy to me!
Dates of creation are where the truth lies. SS offers no public info on dates, i  prefer they would.

Whats  interesting to me is that most the people copying my videos & images styles are not from the USA.

thanks for all your chats here........

General Stock Discussion / Copycats

Its really sad to see the growth of creative rip-offs in microstock. More and more NEW submitters seem to have no talent other than looking at successful work done by others.  They then create a slightly different style of inferior quality of the original.  I guess some wackos just enjoy stealing ideas and money from others.   If youre a copycat reading this SHAME ON YOU, and _________________________________ !

Some of the successful stock sites were founded by photographers, seems to me that a logical progression would be for him would be launch one. It likely would be run very well and have lots of buyers flocking to it.  Id certainly join.

Good shooters will always have quality paying work if their connected and throw good parties.

Micro provides a good test bed for designs, experiments and advanced visual development.

Technology has clearly opened numerous new uses for images with a new and growing customer base whom most generally cant afford a pro shoot, however that same customer may someday grow and achieve higher successes and desires to hire a pro or maybe even the person whom made the micros with all the profits from their grass roots startup using micro images.

Cheer up!  Make some new and fresh images !

Hello, for for a year or 2 I sometimes info snack on this forum,  good info here.  I wasnt really compelled to participate till this issue occurred. Anyhow I am / was using the mentioned site but now will end all operations of  buying, selling and recommending this site to others to buy or sell.  This lowball game is frankly quite pathetic and an overly greedy treatment of the talents whom provide the content that make them what they are today. Hopefully talented people who value their craft and want to retain some value to their work will move away from this site.
