Look Lizard, you are the one who keeps giving in.  Just do what I suggested and write the whole dabarcle out stating who you talked to and what they said with exact dates.  Demand, at the very least, the difference between the last quote and final price.  Write the letter in full, formal business style and real letterhead paper and send it to the most senior person you can at that location.  CC the letter to a general manager and an appropriate watchdog group like the business ombudsman.  Do it today.

This never fails to work I assure you.  You are letting them not only set the price and the timetable but also totally dominate you at every encounter--time to put an an to that.

Well, sorry but you are not in a strong position.  You agreed to the price and delays are just part of the repair/service industry.

You best bet is to write a full, formal letter outlining the timeline with the delays and price escallation--give dates of correspondence and who you talked to.  Protest both delay and price and say that as this is official Canon service you were certainly expecting reconditioning with full warranty.  Create a letterhead for yourself as a professional photographer and send this to an executive, not the repairman, send it by registered post.  Have the letter carefully proofread by a professional who writes business correspondance.

The take home message is that you are a professional and their staff are pissing you around.  You get that in the hands of someone at management level and they will probably work something out for you.  But presentation is important, formal language and full business formatting.  Do this asap.

You agreed to 250 and not more?  Then they should not have done the work without at least getting an approval email.  Decide if you think it is worth the momey and if not, don;t pay.  IMHO--I had a similar problem with audio equipment and it got acrimonious.  But they in they end they returned the equipment to its orignal state and returned it to me and I got it repaired elsewhere for much less tham they were demanding.

It varies a lot.  I sell about a picture a day with 220 pictures uploaded.  Someone with better skills, or isolated and human model shots would easily do twice that and more.

Part of yesterday and all today it is just rejecting my normal password and just refreshing the log in page.  Is it just me or is the submitter area down?
