Pixmac / Re: So, what's the deal with pixmac?
« on: November 12, 2009, 08:51 »
annabelle496: Corrected.

cidepix: We found that problem with EL prices is on Fotolia side (import from Fotolia), it should be corrected next week. I'll look at point two... it could be the same problem as with prices. Thanks.

madelaide: Yes, it was a mistake on Pixmac's side. Anyway we'll do the big check-up of our big database ;) So I think, that everything should be clear soon.

Thank you very much for your cooperation and bug reports!

Hello everyone,

I hope you know that we are only humans...

I corrected images mentioned in this thread, if you find any other, please send it straight to Pixmac, to me "[email protected]" or to this thread (I'll checking it)...

Prices are updated from Fotolia API, we're finding the problem and we'll correct prices ASAP... every photographer got money from Fotolia's prices, not from Pixmac's prices, so you cannot be worried about it...

Thank you for understanding.

Does this mean that some images would appear twice in a search, one via DT and one from FT? If so will their prices also be different reflecting the pricing architectures at each agency? How will the search order differentiate between identical images from different sources?

No, we have system for checking duplicates ;)

Zager,
Noticed you are headquarted in Czechoslavakia.  It's completely off the subject but wanted to say I am a huge fan of CZ motocross machines and all the great Czech riders who rode them.  Zdenek Velky was here in Texas last April.  Had a great time photographing the Legends.  :-)

We are not "Czechoslovakia" about 17 years  8)

Yes, I'm fixing rejected images... Same images to each agency and about 2 - 4 minutes for postprocessing and keywording...

The free preview of microstock images provides Pixmac.com (only drom Pixmac collection, but it's more than 100 000 images)...

1.) http://www.pixmac.com/pictures/;collection:subscription

2.) e.g.: http://www.pixmac.com/picture//000022472679

3.) At the bottom of page "Free image preview for your blog" -> click "more" and there is prepared HTML code

It's good solution to place Pixmac affiliate code to this link... it works for me  8)

I seen that before, it's really interesting ;)
