New Sites - General / Re: Photocase Multi-Upload launched
« on: July 12, 2013, 10:21 »
Thanks for you comments.

@Ryan Its on the list, but hasn't really a high priority to be honest.

@anonymous, we definitely do not fulfill everybody's needs. We look at saleability from a different angle. So what Customer A thinks is weird might be for perfect for customer B. Otherwise we wouldn't sell photos. This isn't the first time I've heard this, and this is ok. If you just want a pizza you can go to one of many pizzerias and get great pizza. But when you want a pizza with some sweet potatoes and spicy maple syrup on it, then you come to us.

@ron, @Dantheman thanks for trying. 10 photos as a test are not enough :) To get a better understanding what might you get through the door I would recommend to browse through our photos that are online http://www.photocase.com/photobrowser.asp Also we a have a great community, that helps you do understand why a photo didn't get accepted. Either push the not accepted photo directly into our forum or you see a reason directly at the rejected photo.

New Sites - General / Photocase Multi-Upload launched
« on: July 11, 2013, 08:32 »
Hi guys,

If it was 2009 this might be bigger news, but we finally launched our multi-upload tool ;)

Photographers that are new to the site can now batch-upload photos, but it's limited at 10 photos per day. Once you have 10 photos online the limit jumps up to 100 photos per day.

And here's the upload page. http://www.photocase.com/upload Royalties start at 40% and you can work your way up to 60%.
No exclusivity, and no strings attached. Anyway, we'd love to see all your non-stocky stock photos.

If you have questions, just ask. More information here http://blog.photocase.com/2013/07/09/multi-upload-now-open-for-everyone/

to be honest, i am not sure what a "vetta" photo really is :) we've doing this for 10 years now, long before istock decided to cherry pick photos from their catalogue and put a higher price on it. we simply have a different approach to stock photography. and yes we are selling them but we are clearly in a niche here. the revenue per photo is higher though, because firstly we start with a 40% share (up to 60%) and secondly there are less photos, which means less competition.

Hey, Frank from Photocase here.
I just want to let you know that I am following the discussion here. Let me know if you have more questions. In terms of what kind of photos we want I'd like to refer to Perry's answer: "You just need to submit images that evoke a "feeling", instead of a concept."  I like that. Perry, could we use this line? :)

We could start filling out our queues with over/under exposed noisy images. Or images that have no potential to sell but are perfectly lit.

You better give us these photos, except the noisiness ;)
