We can expect old credits to be flying around for a while left

In my case I think those old credits are gone- First weekday in many years without a single download.

Thanks everyone so far. Lisa and Jo Ann, good stuff. I guess I should have made more clear I was looking for first hand experience of people who had been exclusive until the last few months at IS. Still on the fence, been really happy so far as a Gold level contributor, but dropping from $2000 a month to maybe $800 this month is disturbing. Most likely will see what Feb. brings and go from there, just not too optimistic about IS with all of the site issues. Just don't don't think they have the expertise or motivation to get it back like it was. Not wearing any rose colored glasses about how great it is at other sites either, but need to try and make up the difference if I can.

So it's only been a month, and I've been at IS long enough to know the year sometimes starts slow, but earnings are about half of what they have been (the last year). I know at best I will always make less at IS, and seriously considering dropping exclusivity, anyone done it in time for the first of the year, and how has it affected your download numbers? I worry most baout losing good placement in the searches, but with all of the site issues I don't think we get good placement any longer anyway.

Like I said, the conferences like to invite you because they know you put on a good show for photographers ( I assume you do), and that's what helps them up their attendance figures to make more cash.  What is going to make more money for them - 'J Ross tells how to make big money in stock' or 'SJ recommends not training your competition' - lol!
Classic. Thank you Sean.

Well, that same email was sent many times over the years, I don't think it's due to some drop in revenue. For me every month is better than the previous, so people are still buying. I'm as upset about the changes in royalty amounts as anyone, but just bad mouthing and trying to start panic isn't the answer. As much as we would like to think buyers would go elsewhere because IS doesn't pay contributors enough it's not going to happen.

I posted this under the" Istock changing royality structure" and thought I'd post it here as well since it does really have to do with buyers

I noticed an ad on my opening e-mail page for Istock....it says:

"WE MISS YOU...you know you want royalty-free images and videos for $1.....get 10% off and 10 free images"

Recon they really MISS their buyers..

Ouch.

I just seriously hope this is an admin snafu, and not a symptom of a cashflow problem.

When unprecedented royalty drops are followed by supplier payments being withheld, questions are bound to be asked.

...and usually not answered.
