Since the decline and suicide of Shutterstock, I have found the steady rise in sales and earnings at AdobeStock. Anyone else noticed?

I have read all the posts and know the changes. But it says on my dashboard that i am still level 5 and therefore haven't been reset back down to zero.
You will still get 0.1 sales at level 6 too. Previously subscription sale were not calculated by percent but were a flat rate of 0.38. Now they are calculated according to the percent... But the biggest issue that they are calculated like if subscribers would use up all their quota. We don't get adjustments for unused downloads.
(but the way, the number of downloads is also on a decline lately...)
Thank you very much for explaining, much appreciated. Much more helpful and productive than the other person.

Hi all, hope everyone is staying safe. Just wondering if anyone else has seen a recent influx of very low earning sales in the 'single and other' category on Shutterstock during the last few days? Already today I have had 17 cent, 16 cent, 15 cent, 13 cent, 12 cent, and 10 cent sales. Never seen this amount of sales that are less than 38cents. Are Shutterstock running a promotion or something at the moment?
Cheers, Chris.

Hello everybody!
I have been a freelance photographer for over 8 years and have accumulated over 15GB worth of images which are all mostly stored on external hard-drives. A few months ago I had an issue with a failing external hard-drive and I now need to look into storing all of my back-catalogue of images onto cloud storage. I therefore need a cloud storage company that would enable me to have unlimited storage. I will then continue to use the cloud storage to upload all the new images that I take over the coming years.
Can anybody reccommend a good storage company that they use themselves? How do you all store your back-catalogue of images?
Thank you in advance for you input and I look forward to reading and responding to your replies!
Thanks, Chris.

Hi, I was just wondering if anybody has yet received an explanation from iStock as to why the historical royalties txt document figures don't match up to what the old istock graphs said?
I emailed them awhile ago but not received any reply. Our royalties may not seem urgent to iStock but their very important to us! Disgraceful.
Chris.

It's disgusting. This needs to be looked into - all smokes and mirrors and not a lot of transparency.

The pdf statement is very detailed which is of course very good news - however, I have added up the number of images sold in December and this figure does not match the figure that was displayed on the old istock website?
Also, I have downloaded (from the Export tab in ESP) the iStock historical royalties txt document and none of the figures match up to what the old istock graphs said. Anybody else notice this?
Chris

Ahh just seen that you upload now on ESP. A better upload system than what was on istock.

Hi, I have signed into iStock and there is no upload button, so I'm unable to upload anything. Has anyone else noticed this? Just to want to make sure that it's not just me!

I messaged istock/getty over 2 weeks ago and opened up a support ticket asking about the username/password situation and they haven't replied to me. Very unprofessional. It is our images and work which is making them money and they do not treat us with respect.

Apolgoies if this question has already been asked - but how do we sign onto ESP? I don't have a getty username/password, I only have an istock username and password.

End of December and first 10-12 days of January have always been low for obvious reasons (christmas holidays, new years bank holidays, companies not working etc etc). My sales were also quite low during this period but have now come back to normal levels.

Thanks everyone. I re-submitted and they were approved within a few hours. It must have been a reviewer not knowing what he or she were doing!

...by the way I have submitted many other editorial product shots in the past of other items and have never had this rejection reason before.

Hi everyone, I was just wondering if anybody had had this situation? I submitted some editorial product/still life shots and they were rejected as 'Altered Editorial' - which of course isn't allowed. However, I did not alter the images at all! Is there any way of re-submitting the images and attaching a typed note to the reviewer? Chris.

Hi everyone,
For the past two or three years I've periodically searched my name on Google Books to see if any of my images have been used in publications and I was occasionally pleased to see that some images were indeed used in books. However, in recent weeks, when I have tried to search my name in Google Books, the list seems to have shrunk with these books 'disappearing' - is this anything to do with the new European data protection law? Is there any other database that can be searched for 'credited' images?
Thanks in advance for your help, Chris

Hi everyone, Today I've noticed an uncharacteristically low sales day - has anyone else had or noticed this? I was wondering if there has been some problems with the SS site today? cheers, Chris
