MicrostockSubmitter / Re: Low framerate error
« on: October 27, 2013, 16:53 »
Hi!

This error is back. This time in the form of low resolution error. It says that my video only has 128x128. However, the preview image generated has full HD resolution. Clicking refresh does not remedy it this time.

Any ideas?

MicrostockSubmitter / Image statistics
« on: September 04, 2013, 23:12 »
Hi!

It's great to see the earnings statistics in Stock Submitter. Is there a way to see which image has sold how many time across the platforms? Any way to get this type of statistic on Stock Submitter or do I need other tools?
Thanks!

Hi!

My payed period ended and so I changed the account back to free. Now it shows again:

"Submit counters will be reset in %time%. "

So, my counters will probably not reset in 1 month. Could you please check this? We had it before.
Thanks!

I fiddled around a bit and clicked on refresh on the image and it shows now with the right resolution. This is solved.

However, the refresh trick does not work for the pond5 low framerate error on videos. Any news on that?

I am now also getting a low resolution error on an image.
The image is 3149x5042 pixels, but stocksubmitter says it was only 128x128.
Would be great if these errors could be fixed or if there was a way to override the warning.
Thanks!

Would be great if one could purchase submits that would not invalidate in 1 month, e.g. for a little extra.

Right now I still need to submit ~100 pics this month. Should I waste 140 submits or wait 1-2 months?

Thanks!

P.S.: Also tried to reach you regarding the %time% screenshot on skype, not sure if you received the image.

PicNiche Toolbar / Submission tool questions
« on: August 01, 2013, 09:21 »
Hi!

How does the submission tool work (i.e. the firefox plugin that fills in keywords and categories)?

Do the pictures have to be uploaded to picworkflow for the tool to recognize them?

Do the pictures have to be submitted through picworkflow for the tool to recognize them?

Thanks!

MicrostockSubmitter / Editorial images

Hi!
May be a stupid question, but cannot find the button:
How can I set images as editorial for the submission on the different sites?
Thanks!

Hi!
On my microstockSubmitter account page it says:

"Submit counters will be reset in %time%. "

What is "%time"? When will my 33 submits be reset?

Also, if I purchase the 240 submits package, will the ones that I did not use become invalid after one month?

Thanks!

MicrostockSubmitter / Low framerate error
« on: July 31, 2013, 20:33 »
Hi!
Trying to upload a mov (25fps, 1080p) to pond5, but microstocksubmitter tells me that it cannot upload because it has too low frame rate.
Anything to watch out for when converting?
Thanks!

To all:

What would be your top 3 images from the ones on the link? Thanks!

Thanks, JPSDK.

What do you mean with "grey side" regarding the HDR? Is this regarding too much intensity of colors or something actually related to the grays, e.g. in the clouds?

Thank you very much for the input! Absolutely agree on your architecture observation.

Regarding the highlights and over exposure. Guess you are referring to the unnatural colors and detail, e.g. in the clouds. That's from the HDR processing, where I should maintain a more natural look. Is that what you mean?

Thanks again!

Photo Critique / Review portfolio pls
« on: July 21, 2013, 21:11 »
Hi!

Thanks for all the tips on the forum. I am just thinking about getting into Stock Photography. For that I would be using some pictures I already have and would change my shooting habits in the future. I will surely not be doing this anywhere near full time and unlikely with models.
So, please have a look at a few sample shots:

http://www.flickr.com/photos/98917197@N05/

...and help me with these questions:

a) What is most critical for me to improve - regarding photostock, but also general technique (composition, etc.)?
b What would be your top 3 / top 10 shots (for potential applications)?
c) Would you say that it is "worth it" for me, i.e. the time to keyword and upload? (considering that I take pictures like this anyway)
d) Any other general observations/comments?

A contribution to any of the questions above would already be very helpful.
Thank you very much in advance!

Hi!
Would be great if we could get English spell check in SS for title, description and keywords. There must be some packages out there that should be relatively easy to integrate. Is there a windows wide spell check that can be integrated?
Thanks!

Hi Niakris,

any news on the 2.0 of SS? At least the download links are not working any more.
Thanks!
