« on: December 07, 2022, 16:06 »
I earned not much. It is the first time that I could not withdraw money from SS.

Why would they do that? I had stopped uploading images in summer. That was (is) the right decision because they do not value their contributors anymore!

I uploaded 21 videos and took 2 hours to show up but I have been waiting for 8 days for them to be reviewed. Totally unusual.

Adobe Stock / Re: Image daily views Huge boost?!
« on: February 18, 2016, 14:09 »
I uploaded 80 vectors in one batch and the next day the views boomed so high. I think when you add new images, curious people see them. Selling them is anoter issue.

My sales are increasing since I started to upload SS in Jan 2015. This month is fantastic, last month was as well.

My sales decreased as well. But I am not sure if it is related to the Adobe change.

General Stock Discussion / How many downloads per month?
« on: January 04, 2015, 16:14 »
Hello,

I am a newbie and I wonder how many times your stocks are downloaded per month comparing with the number of your stocks.

I got my first download yesterday in SS with 7 photos. I have 98 files in Fotolia but no downloads yet.

Software / In which size should vectors be?
« on: January 03, 2015, 19:38 »
In which size should vectors be for Fotolia and Shutterstock? When you create a new document, how do you set your vector's initial width and height? Thanks.

Thank you very much for the advice  :) I would like to do the reverse move of yours. Lets say I have 20 identical photos, I send all of them and they approve 11. Then I am going to pick the best   :D Otherwise, the best photo that I choose is generally rejected.

I am a newbie. If I can improve my ability, then I will collect a good portfolio and remove the redundant ones later  :) By the way, your portfolio is excellent!

FT accepted eleven (11) images of the same green, fake-cactus candle with flame? Really???

Yes I am also surprised  :o I really didn't understand their policy  :)

I joined Fotolia 2 weeks ago and since then I uploaded 71 photos. There is still no earning  :-\ Does anyone know what is wrong?

Let's see- here are few major reasons why they are not selling- personally I am surprised they even accepted the majority of them.

1. Poorly exposed (under exposed)
2. Poor Isolation
3. Texture shots have wrinkles and crooked
4. Nothing really special- there are like millions of these type of shots

I would stop the production and take your time to learn just one area first, say objects isolated on white, and do it well. You're just dumping more marginal images in my eyes to the already glutted inventories...

Thanks for the critics. I should work more  :)
