Adobe Stock / Re: Fotolia - Unsold contents (ANNOUNCEMENT)
« on: July 24, 2013, 08:27 »
I think this kind of price decreases should be optional.

It seems wrong. I mean. I upload a batch of 10 pictures. All are good, but we know how microstock. One or two are sold far, three or four pictures a bit, and and other pictures, nothing.
Within six months they will begin to sell not previously sold. And that used to be sold much, now sold less. The result? In a long run, I win less.

I'm selling 40% more than in June, but with a significant drop in profits, of course.

However, I think the images being so cheap, now customers buy larger sizes.

I miss Photo + ...

iStockPhoto.com / Re: D-Day (Deactivation Day) on Istock - Feb 2
« on: January 20, 2013, 05:10 »
I have a small portfolio on Istock. I unite with the proposed deactivation Feb 2nd, with a percentage of my portfolio. About 150 images. If istock / Getty did not reacting, I will continue.
I'm excited, after four years working on my free time in this world of microstock, that we are able unite for our rights.
It's so pathetic and arrogant what they have done, which did not join the protest, albeit symbolically, not a matter of money, but of dignity.

Yes, I also spread my batches.  If they're seasonal, like Easter photos, I even spread them over 2 or 3 years.
So, sometimes sending pictures with difference of 1 year. Do so as. At first it is slow, but when you have multiple work items will be normal. And sales will rise.

why come out with contributor level that's so difficult to understand? so the 1 credits is not equal to $1, where can we see the credits we accumulate?

because they will not tell you

My monthly earnings are the same as last year. I do not see the promised increase in sales. Some time ago I did not upload more pictures. His last movements seem strange and false. Is less for 2013, the great drop!

I photograph landscapes. I go up 30 to 50 photographs monthly, no more, as varied as possible. Microstock is a secondary job. My sales are modest, but almost every month rise in sales. I am guided by quarters, I think it is more stable from month to month. There are always some bad month (February 28 days, Easter, August, xmas, etc).

For two years sales go up every quarter. In the top 6 up all ... except Dream, which is stalled for a year and a half .... If you serve the analysis ....

Alex, Thanks for the answer
but this practice does not quite satisfy me. There should be no less than commissions paid for subscription. Anyway ...

The answer of 123rf. There was quick response (not irony)

"Hello,
Thank You for your email in regards to your sale earnings.
$0.20 is the lowest credit earnings which was bought with a subscription credit package that the client has purchased your image with. Here, the calculation for subscription package is when the client buys a 12-month package, your images are priced at $0.20 because they bought more credits at an affordable rate.
Images sold at $0.68 are usually bought with a "Pay-as-you-go" credit package.
We hope this is clearer to you
Sincerely, "

123RF / We still have 50% of royalties?
« on: March 14, 2012, 12:59 »
Today I had a sale on 123rf and my profit is $ 0.20. It was a picture of size S. But I do not understand:
- The price of credit is at least EUR 0.68 in Europe.
- S size is equivalent to 1 credit
- We have a gain of 50% (until 31 December ...)

???

I have written to 123rf, but lately the service is bad ...

Thanks!

Thank you all for the answers. I see a trend is not unique. Glad to hear it. Can stock is a page just (hopefully not happen as 123rf).

You will tell. For my part, I make more each month. And I think most, too.

CanStockPhoto.com / Can Stock RPD down
« on: February 26, 2012, 05:51 »
Hi
I would like to raise an issue on canstock. My sales on this site are low, about $ 8-12 per month. But I have a RPD accumulated in the last two years of $ 1.26. But the RPD of the last 9 months (three quarters, which is like I watch my tendencies) is very low: $ 0.56, and decreasing (this February RPD: S0, 30).
The feeling is that there is increasing subscription sales, but all of $ 0.25, and Regular Distribution sales dwindling.

It is not very important. Can Stock is my seventh bank. But their commissions are fair, friendly team, good upload system. But I wonder if someone else happens, or just me. But three quarters is a good take.

thanks

Having coffee with 123rf from the February 2 ...
I guess Alex was referring to this when he said "'you've got 10 months to build up a solid portfolio'" ...

1. With regards to sales, we're looking to more than double the figure. 2011 was great for us, we're looking to make 2012 greater. Ultimately your sales as a whole will more than just improve.

Obviously I want to increase my sales. But mostly I want a fair royalty.
The ultimate test of his covetousness is that they know they will increase their sales. And in 2013 also increase their commission. To our detriment. The rest are parole parole parole ...

18
fantastic. I think I'll be in the range of 40% (in fact, 20% less commissions). 123rf, thank you for supporting employees with more than 3 years with you in 2013. Thank you so!
The royalty structure is insane! And do not ask me to increase my portfolio more. Do I have to work harder to get a 45% very very very lucky? Do you going to change my plans for 2013? Thanks for planning my life, but do not need it.

I am designer, work with some 20 associations and all I have recommended 123rf. But no, that's it!

The problem is that I think its chaotic political communication has been good for them. With the fear of charging less, in recent months many have come to 123rf contributors, and many have increased their portfolio: the result is long waits under review. This increase may compensate for possible escapes by lower royalties for 2013.

The lies and confusion, great strategies for business.

december and january sales down for me  ???

Same here, more or less. Maybe I explained wrong before. I'm happy with 123, but since November not down, just stagnant. Sure up.

123RF / Re: Sales down???? :(((

In my opinion, make analyzes for one day, week, or even a month, is bad policy.

From 2009 to September 2011, sales of 123rf has increased almost every month. But since October 2011 are stalled.  The level of upload photos is the same.
I believe that by consolidating the "Big 4 / 5" and the threat of change of commissions makes more people participate in 123rf ... More competition. And perhaps the origin of the change of policy and "threats" to future photographers and illustrators ...

I love watching the daily sales, but not reach conclusions ... And yet it is increasingly difficult to see sales in 123rf!

DepositPhotos / Re: Depositphoto witholding tax rip off!
« on: January 16, 2012, 09:32 »
This is freaking incredible! I just checked my sales and discovered they are taking a third of my sales, instead of 5% for sales by American buyers.

Earned Before Tax   TAX Withheld (5%)   Net Earned
       $0.22   $0.07                           $0.15

I'd say that's the definition of being robbed in broad daylight. They really have some balls, I'll give 'em that.

Same here (Spain). I send them a ticket...

23
I didn't get the mail either - I think 123rf might have had a problem with how this mail was sent. And as pointed out, why no site mail on this as well as e-mail? I can't buy the "check your spam filters" when (a) so many didn't get it and (b) I regularly check my spam filters and it wasn't there either.

Important changes like this should be clearly communicated - such as a popup when someone logs in or visits the site, sitemail, some other positive-confirmation method so the agency is sure the contributor has actually received the notification.
The same, I have not received the mail. Do not advertise on their website that accepts video? ....
