I think this Top 100 is composed of group of vector addicted artists working 24 hours a day and 7 days a week that's why they are so productive

Shutterstock.com / Re: SS Default Popular in Portfolio

Popular is a relation between downloads and how old image is (time that image is online).

Popular remains a mystery. In my case, sometimes my new uploads shows in 1st page in popular (by using my top 5 keywords in that image) within a days only and then sales comes. But most of my top selling images are not shown in popular

If you have a huge portfolio in DT you can have a good sales even in other agencies but in that number you have in your protfolio, be patient while adding more.

I'm basically still starting out and was wondering which sites tend to have lower rejection rates which might be a good place for beginners to start? Thanks.
So you're looking for 123rf. I had zero rejection at that site. But try to learn microstock in SS, FT and IS

Poll Results at the right are more accurate for photographers.  I'm a vector artist and I got #1.SS, #2.IS and #3.FT. I never tried to upload to Low Earners

I'm curious how keywording is for  other people. I create images in large amounts and keywording is a very mentally taxing process for me because my brain does not handle redundancy well. In fact, some of my errors / rejections are result of a mind that keeps forcing itself into auto-pilot during submission process. This goes double for Istock's disambiguation system.

What is the experience like for you? Similar? Different? How do you approach keywording not only for effective sales but also (if you are like me) to avoid the mental fatigue it brings?
It's asier for me to produce  images than uploading it in agencies specially in Istock. Keyword suggestions from shutterstock is a big help for me.

That means you're very lucky. Congrats!

General Stock Discussion / Re: 3d images
« on: January 04, 2016, 10:09 »
Its worth it but you need to have a computer with good specs for that. 3D softwares needs a fast computer specially for rendering purposes. For what I know, you can render good quality 3D images in sketchup using some plugins and extensions and it will cost you money. But if you really want the best of 3D's you should try 3D's Max or Cinema 4D.

There's a lot of Popular portfolios in shutterstock that has only 3D images on it.

Symbiostock / Re: Symzio is now LIVE
« on: January 04, 2016, 02:12 »
I read a lot of posts and comments here in MSG about contributors complaining for how bad those microstock agencies are and what have done to them but still they only keep complaining and do nothing. Atleast Symbiostock team and its contributors have different approach in that situation.

Most in my shutterstock portfolio are vectors and I have maybe 10% 3D rendered images in my portfolio. For me vectors sell most than the 3D renders. You better use software with advance rendering features or else shutterstock will reject it. I'm using Cinema 4D and Photoshop 3D and i got a good result

Istock upload process is worst of all but it's worth to upload there. it's my 2nd top earning microstock site this year next to shutterstock.

They cut comissions to contributors so I still have no interest to go back upload my images there
