Had about 30 so far today myself - no DLs. Will have to block e-mails from DT as SPAM if they can't get this under control

I opted out of the el sales right after the bs "opportunity" message they sent. I am in the "top tier" and today I was told someone wanted to use a photo of mine on s textbook under an el and I would receive a grand total of $1.80 for the sale. That is the new low - I can't wrap my head around how far ss has fallen

Just a reminder; if you opt out of ELs and a customer requests one, you will get e-mail from support asking if they can process it for you. You don't have to opt back in. I turned down one at $22 and accepted two at $40 each - my policy now is to say yes if the royalty is $28 or higher

Good information. I have opted out and stopped uploading entirely to SS since the 'news' broke. Focus on working for companies and individuals that value you and your work. SS does not...that is clear.

Am I the only one who got their 1099 in the mail as well as being able to download a copy?

Never got mine in the mail which is the reason I needed to download it.

To me, really bad when an on-line tech company first allows folks to download others tax information, then does not provide notice of a breach, and finally then blocks all access to information that they are required by US law to provide.

"Surely AP choose their partners carefully."

Doubtful - AP is losing it's battle against Getty and USATSI at least in the corner of the market I am familiar with (Sports images). Appears to me to be a desperate move of a dying entity. Sad really....AP used to be a position one would aspire to, now it is marketed through SS.

For the US based photographers still not able to access your 1099s, you have the right to request assistance in obtaining your tax forms from the IRS. Here is a copy of an e-mail I just sent to Shutterstock (attempted to cc Mr Oringer as well):

"Below is a copy of my second e-mail requesting what should be automatic and simple:

This my second message to Shutterstock re: not receiving my 1099 forms for the 2015 tax year. I am unable to access the forms online still as well. Please forward my 1099s immediately. Shutterstock had a 2.14.16 deadline to make the forms available for the 2015 tax year. My next contact will include copies to the IRS (requesting that a form 4598 be issued to shutterstock) and the NY Attorney General's office."

This was sent, as was the first, through the "Contact Us" section on the website. This is another example in a growing list of slights and digs to your contributor base. Killing your contributor base through a series of a thousand nicks is not wise for business.

Submitter 77601 (that's what we are right - numbers - not people)"

Just a FYI for those unable to file your returns because of SS incompetence.
