Unless the articles posted is about you, you won't make any money out of it. Articles could be anything like the newest Hasselblad to images of the late Prince.

I haven't uploaded there for a while now, it just doesn't make sense and it's a waste of time. If it wasn't for the payouts I would have forgotten about them.

General Macrostock / Re: Getty technical issues with report for August 2016« on: September 22, 2016, 09:24 »ESP is linked to my stills account but for footage I go here : https://upload.gettyimages.com/I'm actually using ESP for both. It was working yesterday and we got our sales reports. It was on the whole a miserable August and reading the Getty forum some old and heavy members seem to jump ship? You mean Christian Lagereek? He has quite a reputation lol 6
General Macrostock / Re: Getty technical issues with report for August 2016« on: September 22, 2016, 03:55 »You're welcome. There should be a button with account management in the upper right corner.Yes, you have to use ESP now and if you can't access account management from there you have to contact esp stills help, they fixed it for me in a couple of hours. 7

The wife is the least of the problems with travelling. Nowadays you never know what hits you, you might run into bullets, axes, machetes, trucks, explosives, suicide bombers

Off Topic / Re: snipers shoot dead police officers in Dallas« on: July 11, 2016, 12:19 »Let's say you were there with a hand gun (assuming one is not walking around with an AK-47 openly), what are you going to do against automatic weapons? You might as well throw rocks at them. The police in the UK can use a taser or pepper spray if the person they are dealing with looks like they are going for a weapon. Its a lot easier when there usually aren't any guns on either side. On a side note, there were 2 police officers outside the Bataclan when it happened, they couldn't go in because they know they were nice targets to the terrorists since they only had standard hand guns with them. And these are professionals with a gun, how would you think you stand a chance against multiple terrorists with machine guns? Reality is far from what you see in movies. 15
Off Topic / Re: snipers shoot dead police officers in Dallas« on: July 09, 2016, 01:24 »I don't need the constitution to tell me thats its my Human right to protect Myself and Family, I choose to own a gun for that very purpose. If you don't want to own a gun and think that by calling the police or lets say using a baseball bat will save your life or families lives in lets say a home invasion which typically involves two or more thugs who are armed then good luck with that, chances are you would wind up dead.Ok I'll bite. How do you explain why people in countries with liberal gun laws like Saudia Arabia or Iraq couldn't prevent terrorist attacks recently. Since you're stating that a country with strict gun laws like France would be able to when they have liberal gun laws. Your logic here doesn't make sense. Or a country like Iceland with the highest gun rate per capita has 0 homocides. I think it's just the people's mentality and how people have been brought up that kills people. 16
Software / Re: affinity designer - photoshop alternative« on: July 06, 2016, 04:48 »For photographers the real bomb is the Affinity Photo which is not released yet (later this year they say), it's supposed to be like Lightroom and Photoshop alternative in one package. It's been around for Mac for a couple of years now. I like it, it's faster than photoshop but it's not a lightroom alternative for indexing and keywording. 17

Shutterstock.com / Re: Email from SS - Regarding Repeated Words and Phrases in Image Titles« on: July 01, 2016, 00:22 »i got a pm from laurin rinder telling me he had heard that ss is preparing the company to be sold off, this was related to the amount of images they are accepting, so this could be related, having 77000 contributors work for them, cleaning up titles, so they look nice and clean and buffed up before they put themselves in the store windowWho will buy SS? Investment company? That would be very very bad for us 25
Pond5 / Re: Additional contributor info needed email. Spam or legit« on: July 01, 2016, 00:06 »Exactly, professionally I only have Instagram and P5 doesn't want Instagram links. Other social media is personal so not giving that to them.I am truly astonished that social media profiles/links worth any security measure to anyone!Has anybody's additional info been "approved" after they requested it?Haven't heard back from them yet. I refused to give them any of my social media links. |
