but the classic worst recently was a guy with a GoPro, driving down the street in Saigon or someplace similar, shooting time lapse through the windscreen, and uploading each as an individual image. They are fuzzy and terrible, but also hundreds if not thousands of images. I doubt that he will get more sales than if he had taken 2 good shots and uploaded them.

do you have a link to that portfolio?

It's been linked many times under spamfolio and on SS too. I'm not sure if it's OK to post the link here, but it's not anyone on the forums.  :)

Some people call out spam for multiple images, similar images, but for example, here's what I'm calling as spam, not just picking on people for their personal choices and how many of something they upload. Yes I like singles and a few of any setup, while others do well uploading dozens of well thought out variations. The later is not spam... this is!  :(

A whole long thread for Spamfolios.  https://forums.submit.shutterstock.com/topic/94721-spamfolio%E2%80%A6-post-here-the-link-of-spammy-portfolios-you-find-on-shutterstock/?tab=comments#comment-1690960

Well that's tomorrow morning sorted out then. Take 1000 photos of oof tree branches, call them all 'abstract art background in the nature' and use the same four keywords for all of them. I've been doing it all wrong...

Windows 8 and 10 does it if you have indexing turned on, press the windows key and w together then type 'indexing' 0to configure it. On mac OSX it shpuld do it by default when you type word combinations into the search.

Out of the agencies listed here alemy does have that tick box. You do see these cretited in media.quite often.
With dreamstime you submit as editorial then click the contact form on the submissions page but I don't know where they distribute to though.

From esp go to my performance, then royalties, then summary to find out what you are owed. If you want to go into your historic earnings in any detail its best to install a piece of software called deepmeta on your pc.

thanks. Just tried it for a couple and i think it works well if you choose the right images and delete the irrelevant tags. The colour coding is an interesting way of looking at possible keywords if nothing else.

General Stock Discussion / Re: Editorial/newsworthy
« on: June 10, 2018, 07:32 »
this happened to me the one time i submitted anything as editorial (some images of a local event), i haven't tried submitting anything as editorial since, do istock accept the type of things other agencies accept such as, urban scenes, shots with people in. etc?

Shutterstock.com / Re: Pending images deleted
« on: June 10, 2018, 07:27 »
I deleted 3 pending images on SS but they anyway viewed them and they were rejected. It is written that asset was deleted before reviewing but I have now 3 rejections for deleted images.

anything you delete before review shows up as rejections now, i wouldn't worry about it, all rejections vanish after a couple of weeks. which i think is more annoying if you where ever intending to go back at some point edit out identifying marks on property etc.

I think they take editorial material from other agencies, they dont take it from regular adobe submissions.

Hi

If you copy the link for the portfolio page to your phone browser and then save the shortcut to the screen it looks and behaves pretty much like an app anyway. you can upload files etc.

isn't it just a search engine? Did you try clicking on your image to see where it went to? i tried some of mine and it linked to can stock and shutter stock. tried click a few free ones with the same keywords and it went to pixabay and all those other sites where people give things away.

Yesterday i had a whole run of images of generic aluminium cladding rejected due to the lack of a proper release. I thought only recognisable monuments where copyright under uk law. Does anyone have any experience with this?
