Unfortunately, for my submissions the rejections come long after the model and witness are available to sign a revised release.

I could only see one reference to GDPR in the forum and the post is about how to comply with the regulation if you operate a business.

Has anyone any thoughts or information on how it will affect photographers who shoot only for stock?  I am referring to the photograph now being considered part of personal data.

How will you be able to take photographs in the street, or events where there are hundreds of people.  It's impractical to get written permission from everyone who might be in a shot.

How can the stock agencies handle "Editorial"?

The regulation comes into force in a month or so and it looks as if photography is going to get a whole lot more difficult.

Thanks

Tom

I have just joined up.  So far I have posted only pictures that don't meet the standards or usefulness for the stock agencies. It's more of a social sharing system. I have made a dollar in two days.  Since I only make about 4 dollars a month from Shutterstock it might well be better at the moment.  I have posted one photo on steemit that has sold on Shutterstock, but have got nothing so far.  Early days yet.  At least I don't have to spend a lot of time editing photos that get rejected.
