I wonder what was the reason? But you can also study all those materials that are available on the Internet! For example, http://weedit.photos/ has a lot of free tips for photographers!

Camelcamelcamel.com is tracking historical prices on Amazon. Other sellers are following Amazon very closely, therefore these graphs are a good indicator of market trends.
I attached an example for Canon 5D mk4, showing that the price is good these days.

Wow, this is such an interesting information, thanks for finding this for me! I also think that there are good tips here http://fixthephoto.com/blog/tech-tips/best-camera-for-amateur-photographer.html

I think the best time to buy - after the release of a newer model, then the previous models will be cheaper. Now I also want to buy a new camera, so tell me, when is the best time this year?

Hi, jcpjr! How are you and your turtles? It is a very interesting topic for me, can you show your photos? Has it been successful?
I read this massege right now. Some of my advice:
If you want to get quality photographing at night, you need the maximum quality of the file, which means shooting in RAW format.
Use a tripod to obtain sharp pictures.
When you select aperture, use the "Golden mean" usually from f/8 to f/16, but there's no definitive law.

I think it is a good camera. I have Nikon D3100. A lot depends of lenses and what do you want. You can read this article about cameras and lenses to start.
