iStockPhoto.com / Re: Can not cancel my IS exclusivity
« on: February 23, 2013, 19:19 »
Mine did the same thing.  When I knew the 30 days was up I turned my SS port back on and within a day or 2 showed I was not exclusive at iStock.  Just takes a bit to loop through

I got to speak to someone back in Jan after a rash of refunds also.  I called and asked for CR and was told there were no phone calls to them. So i just started asking the person I was talking to the questions.  She confirmed that the refunds were all fraud, and when I questioned it, the response was well I guess someone really likes your car pictures.  I hung up and cancelled exclusivity immediately. 2 more days until I can turn my old SS portfolio back on!

Is anyone keeping an eye on the ASA?  I wouldn't put it past them to make changes quietly to the agreement to support deals like this at this point.....

Already cancelled exclusivity on jan 2nd because of refund stuff And tanking sales. Then this stuff happens, and makes me glad i did it when I did.  Also I find it funny how when I voiced my opinion in the forums over these latest issues.  My downloads completely stopped.  Today has been 6 days without 1 single download.   Like really!!!  Good thing they don't mess with people's ports when they speak out in the forums against iStock/Getty.   6 days 0 dls.   I crap you not

yup had a bunch yesterday too.  I seem to always get them whenever I sell my editorial classic car shots.  I called yesterday and made them talk to me.  Was told it was fraud of course.  I was not pleasant, and the lady was not overly helpful.  When I mentioned that my shots were prob all over the internet at this point her response was basically we can only do so much and said I could use tineye and started to give me a website for it.  I cut her off and explained I knew what it was and then if I found something, what were they going to do? Nothing.  Her response was ummmm well....  I explained that it was getting old everytime I had one of these shots downloaded I knew a refund was coming soon.  Her reply was "well I guess someone really likes your car photos"  Like really!  There's some great support.  I hung up the phone and went immediately to my computer and cancelled my exclusivity

Have had enough of that place, sales crapping out, and refunds every time you turn around.  I'm done

with all of these errors and bugs lately, downloads basically stopped,  it is really shaking my confidence. Also, when they did the reset RCs to 0 and brought em back, I think I was a few hundred lower than I was before. Can't prove it (my own fault) of course I posted in the bug thread and like every other time I post a question in the help thread, it gets ignored......

You know, when I read this I don't even know what to say anymore.  I jumped a few years ago after a lot of himming and haaaing to go exclusive becaus eit was supposed to be better.  And I have to say the first year or 2 were decent. But the stuff that has been going on since the fall has me about a pube away from dropping the crown.  I didn't get hit too bad during the first one, but with Jan and Feb being the way they were, it is just another slap in the face from iStock.  Hopefully this one won't be too bad, because in all honesty Feb was the worst month I had in YEARS.

I am really debating dropping the crown at this point, but what I am scared of is that my files are going to get absolutely burried and never see the light of day again.  That, and the fact I don't know if I can stomach giving them 84% of the cut by going non-exclusive again.

On the other hand, you know things don't look good when you see old school iStockers bailing either... It almost seems like the old saying, even the rats are jumping ship.
