Thanks for the reply. If you have a good experience with the optimization firm and can share the before and after Speedtest data please share here because it's not easy to find a good firm that delivers good results. I've tried a few with minimal success. Thnx:)

how will you "work on the speed" of site?
Bluehost speed will only change if you upgrade/pay more for a private server or did they tell you anything they can do to help speed on your shared server hosting?

Of course you can always try to optimize your WP site images, design, plugins etc.

If you build all in WP now and want to move to another platform later that is gonna be just like starting a whole new site all over again with all the same work. Do you have a platform in mind that can convert all your WP work easily?

Selling Stock Direct / Re: Feedback for my own microstock website
« on: September 18, 2018, 03:17 »
Nice material there but yes very slow page load times. Who is your hosting company and are you on a shared server?

Curious as to why you decided to make your own site...was your material not selling well on the microstock sites you were on?

What microstock site were you on? How long and how many images?

What other platforms or plugins did you research before choosing cmsaccount.com WP plugin?

Definitely suggest all of your focus now be on marketing, no traffic of the correct demographic will mean no sales.

Please keep us posted on progress and good luck;)

Symbiostock - General / Re: Goodbye, Symbiostock
« on: September 18, 2018, 02:32 »
I figured since I saw someone with an actual shutdown experience with bluehost I wanted to find out the details of their experience so I and others could make a better decision about hosting there or not.  Would still like to know the info...would help in knowing if bluehost is a fit by learning what was not a fit for them already.

Considering making a symbiostock site but hosting it on bluehost, or other place depending on info learned about previous bluehost shutdowns.

Thnx for any replies.

Newbie Discussion / Best Platform for these photo Categories?
« on: August 20, 2018, 13:56 »
Hi all :), have shot for long time and now looking to put my images in one place or several places that make the most sense. (SS, IS etc, Make own site but with what-WP & Symbiostock or ?)  I'm sure this has been asked many times but wanting to get the most current 2018 opinions as the market is ever changing.  My library contains:

Fashion (with releases)
Art Abstracts/Backgrounds
Travel (Landscapes/Street/Tourist Spots/Signage/AirportTrainBus details
Nudes (Non-Erotic & Erotic)
Architecture
Everyday Life (Grocery,Dr's,Dentist,Driving,Bakery,Baseball Games, etc.)
Food items & prepared meals

If you wanted least amount of work (edit, upload, maintain...) where and or how do you recommend handling?

If you wanted highest revenue where and or how do you recommend handling?

And how about making a free site with all of it and monetizing the traffic instead of image licenses?

Thank you kindly;)

how many images did you have on your site before shutdown?
this was the reply i got when emailing bluehost to ask why shutdowns happen:

Bluehost does not set arbitrary limits on the amount of disk space a Subscriber can use for the Subscriber's website, nor does Bluehost charge additional fees based on an increased amount of storage used, provided the Subscriber's use of storage complies with these Terms. Please note, however, that the Bluehost service is designed to host websites. Bluehost does NOT provide unlimited space for online storage, backups, or archiving of electronic files, documents, log files, etc., and any such prohibited use of the Services will result in the termination of Subscriber's account, with or without notice. Accounts with a large number of files (inode count in excess of 200,000) can have an adverse effect on server performance. Similarly, accounts with an excessive number of MySQL/PostgreSQL tables (i.e., in excess of 1000 database tables) or of database size (i.e., in excess of 3GB total MySQL/PostgreSQL usage or 2GB MySQL/PostgreSQL usage in a single database) negatively affect th
e performance of the server. Bluehost may request that the number of files/inodes, database tables, or total database usage be reduced to ensure proper performance or may terminate the Subscriber's account, with or without notice.
