Congratulations!

With the quality of your contributors work I'd find it hard to believe Stocksy would ever have refused you :)

Thanks! Well... not really, it took us more than two years to convince them :)

Hi Kike! Thanks for your message! We are glad to have you in the Addictive family :)

And yes, we work with Stock Performer since 2016 as you can see in their website:

Do you require space-related motion graphics content? Looks like it doesn't really fit with your style... but it sells pretty well!

Do you have examples of that to study the possibility and add that type contents to the Addictive collection?

Hi guys,
yes, the authors obtain 60% of the sales commission.

The idea is to work only in one direction with us and let Addictive do the attribution and distribution work.

The uploading is very simple, just send us the images or videos via FTP/wetransfer and that's all. Every Addictive member have a personal Stock Performer account where they can track the accepted content and sales in every agency.

At the moment we only work with premium RF collections

Cheers!

Hi guys!

I haven't visited this forum for a long time and there is no better excuse than talking about the stock distribution company we opened a couple of years ago: Addictive Stock Creatives.

We are always looking for new talents to distribute their work through premium collections such as Offset, Adobe Stock Premium, Focused, Evo...

Take a look at our website www.addictivestock.com and if anyone produces high quality content (photos and videos) similar to the ones we show on the web we would be happy to review them to assess their admission.

This is for example our portfolio at Adobe Stock Premium:

Feel free to ask me if you need more info

Well, and... what do you reckon? Did you give a try to the application? I am truly interested in your opinion and I would be very honoured having some feedback from you :)

Two questions.

1) Can you talk about password security? I use Fetch as my FTP client and I happily store them in presets on the understanding that these are local data on my Mac only and not saved by the application in any external location. Obviously that matters as for most agencies the information is the same as that which could be used to divert funds from our accounts. I'm sure you do the right thing, but the video doesn't address this issue and I think it needs to.

Yours is a very good point. I had been a microstocker myself (and still am) for more than 5 years and when I started this project, this was one of my strongest request to the developing team. In fact, now that you have pointed it out I become aware I should include the information I'm about to tell you on the downloading page for the future users to know.

GO Stock stores all the information related to agencies into a single encrypted local file under the /config/data folder, with the name agencies.go, as well as other two encrypted files for the collection of uploading files (files.go) and the last transferring report (report.go). The important bit here is that (as you guessed)  this DATA IS LOCAL and only local AND NOT SAVED BY THE APPLICATION IN ANY EXTERNAL LOCATION.

Somebody who gained access to our hard drive could copy our agencies.go file and then use it with its own copy of GO Stock but that won't be a problem at all because the application DO NOT SHOW ANY PASSWORDS and only works in one direction, which is upload, i.e.: the only thing that could be done with this file is... upload files into our account. In fact, that could turn into an advantage, I share my agencies.go file with the people on GO Software (the application developers) for they to run the tests while they still don't know my passwords.

2) What about agencies like PhotoDune where you need to upload model/property releases into a folder - sub folder - at the same time as you upload the images and before you process them? There doesn't appear to be anything automated to do this, so would you have to have two separate presets in Go Stock, one for the releases with a different folder and the other for the images? I've never tried doing this in two separate FTP sessions, but it could be OK from the site's point of view as long as you upload both pieces prior to processing

You're right. GO Stock v1.0.1 is the first step into an easy basic tool for many reasons; first of all, we decided to keep it simple and include only some easy features. We didn't know it was going to work so well and would had so many people using it this soon. On the other hand, we hope that our donation scheme works because that will let us to raise funds to keep paying developers into improving the product. In fact, our two main features to include in the next version should be: 1) model/property releases link and 2) meta tags editing.

Given my workflow, I'm not sure how I'd incorporate this. It might be easier to do if I could save the log file (and it'd be nice to have a button versus having to cut and paste it into a text editor). Is that possible?

He he. Believe it or not, there was some differences of opinion on this matter during developing. Programmers liked the way they did, whereas I argued it should be done the way you propose. Eventually, I accepted on their point on the condition that they would include this feature if people started asking about it. Now I'll be very glad and happy to translate your request to the team :)

Hi Luis!

There's no limits. You can add as many agencies as you want (of course, only those who offer FTP access).

11
That's exactly what we wanted to develop, a simple but easy application. Just drag & drop and GO! We really need time for shooting and retouching... not for uploading :)

Hi there,
I want to introduce a new free service we have developed at MyMicrostock.net.
It is a very easy application to upload your files to all agencies at the same time.

You can read more about this new software here:

I hope you find it helpful!

Dreamstime.com / Re: DT no longer Big 4
« on: September 04, 2012, 02:43 »
Dreamstime is still one of my Big 4, but their performance is falling too much lately.

My TOP 8:
1) Shutter
2) Istock
3) Fotolia
4) Dreamstime
5) Deposit
6) Canstock
7) 123RF
8) Photodune

14
Dang, I hate, hate, hate "inspirational" facebook photos.

So do I....

15
A part of the Big 4, I submit to other low earners, but drop by drop, every month is a good amount of money. I contribute with low (medium) earners such as 123RF, Deposit, Photodune and Canstock.

If you are not exclusive to one agency, I think the best idea is submitting to as many agencies you can.

WOW! I have never seen one of those!
I thought that the maximum royalty at SS was 28$ for an EL. What type of license is that?

In fact, in this link I cannot see royalty rates more than 28$: http://submit.shutterstock.com/earnings_schedule.mhtml

I think it's at the bottom where it says
"Images:
Single Image On Demand
and
Any Products Not Listed Above"
You get between 20-30% of the sale depending on your level.

Yeah, I have read it. It's about the licenses for "sensitive uses", with royalties up 75$.
I have never seen one of that  ;D

I suffered a few months with a significant drop in sales. But now it seems that things are back to normal and sales remain as ever, mainly due to increased royalties from the Partner Program :)

Hi there!
I have recently added some of my best images to the Photo+ collection, which I had sincerely abandoned.
I Had 170 free slots and use 150 of them. In two weeks the royalties have risen considerably.

We'll see how it develops this theme from now on for 6 months in which these images have to be mandatory in the collection :)

Best!

Must really be a start up.  I searched under "Munich" and "Onion" . . .  both got zero results.   If you want to get in on the ground floor this is the site for you.

There's a chance for you to make an unusual photo of an onion in Munich.

 ;D

Hi,

On april ill be traveling to Switzerland.  Ill be staying in Laussane.  What you reccomend me to photograph there for Microstock?

Thanks for your help.

David.

For stock, the best thing to shoot would be model released lifestyle or business imagery with local backdrops. Not sure how well that's going to fit in to the travel plans though.

Uf... maybe it is not the perfect plan on vacations. :)
When I'm on a trip like that I'm with the camera like a chinese with a machine gun, shooting every thing that attracts my attention. Fortunately, the editorial collections now permit us to sell photos of lifestyles without releasing.
