I got my csv report with all image pack and EL downloads converted to .28 cents.

However, there were two downloads that went from .28 cents to ZERO. I don't recall reading in any of the explanations regarding the database errors in addition to the image pack eff up that there were downloads that were calculated but not actually happen and removed entirely.

Has anyone else had downloads (either .28 cents or more) totally deleted to zero?

Thanks in advance for your answers

Just in case I am one of the 25,000 affected, I cashed out.

I would rather owe them money than have them claw it back from me :P. And I don't sell that much so it will be in negative for a while.

They refer people to the sticky, they lock threads, they send site mail that they have deleted posts and when the pp is starting they will post an official notification.
Ah, this is the first I've heard of the site mails. I thought you were referring to the forum.
Given that they say they'll pay by the end of the month, I'm not sure why people start whining from the middle of the month if they payments haven't started. Sure, bombard them on the first day of the following month. By the thousand.

Yes, I agree. I too get annoyed when people start threads in the middle of the month. It's mostly newbies.

You would not be aware of site mail because it was sent to me by kelvin telling me my post was deleted and we will officially notify in the forum, yada, yada, yada... Notification never happened.

P.s. My deleted post was created on the last day of the month back when they paid two months together cuz of some snafu. It was probably deleted as I titled it OFFICIALLY NOTIFY OR LOCK. I guess it pissed him off cuz he did not respond to either of the title requests, he just deleted it.

Kelvin is CONSTANTLY locking threads and commenting that when PP starts there will be an official notification. But there NEVER is.

Hmmmm, that's not 100% true.
Looking at the most recent threads in the PP forum over there, Kelvin has locked some but hasn't said that once in his locking post. He has generally referred people to the sticky which says PP should be paid before the end of the month.

IIRC either he, or Rob, or both, also said if there was going to be a delay there would be an official post; but as that hasn't happened, no official post seems to be necessary.

(thinks: do you really need a notification that it's started? If you're over there looking for a notification, you'd see your balance has gone up [unless you opt to keep your balance hidden, which would be your choice] and could check where the sales were coming from, probably with the same number of clicks as checking in the forum.)

I have a bookmark to my stats page so it only takes one click to check (plus a second one if I need to log in).

No I don't need an official notification, but that is not my point.

They refer people to the sticky, they lock threads, they send site mail that they have deleted posts and when the pp is starting they will post an official notification.

I just want them to FOLLOW THROUGH with their own rules and do what they say they will.

That is my point.

it really bugs the sh*t out of me.

Two faced hypocrites with a real gift for lip service.

I'll take their money but I don't have to like them.

I haven't said it is that gloomy, just that I don't think we should celebrate this kind of events, I know there are higher sales, that said still much lower RPD comparing to SS

I care nothing for RPD; it's revenue that matters to me.  And as much as I revile iStock and have removed most of my work from their site, their PP still brings in enough to make them my #3 earner month after month.

How do you manage to do that? I removed three images from my IS portfolio and they immediately disappeared from the PP. If you remove form IS are they not removed from PP too? Or was it just me?

ugh. who would pay that kind of money for those photos. It's just plain insulting to buyers. My company WAS a buyer at IS and this is the kind of crap that would frost my cookies and made us leave. Even with the $$ slider... still pisses me off.

Seems like all their IT efforts are probably tied up in the site changes that are going on at Istock, so it may be a wait for PP.  Hope I am proven wrong :)

you generally are not wrong about most IS things. But in this case I hope you are wrong too.

Last June/July payout was a cluster. Good $$ but painful to get there.

I guess the OP should change the title of this thread once again.  ;)

"I was hoping for a better site and all I got was this lousy logo." or something like that.

 ;D ;D

istock period end of story, no more istockphoto.  it shows a clear break with the past.

I might buy that.  But that will lose meaning over time.

They might be trying to convey iStock "period" as if they are the only company "needed" or the only company "that matters".

That never occurred to me (a tad obscure), but I like your thinking. That would be a great agency pitch in the presentation of the new logo.

It also goes with the two ads. Giant white type on black background with periods at the end of full sentences.

Note the tag - "iStock by Getty Images" ... Looks like a move towards assimilation.

yeah, that is the first thing I noticed. THis is probably the legal solution to the "only at istock" lie.

BTW Mr. Locke, I enjoyed reading your blog entry re: Exclusivity??? at istock. Times they are a changin'.

iStockphoto Relaunch Sept. 17, 2013 or maybe just iStock since it looks like they are dropping the 'photo'

your wish is my command.

Can you suggest a better title, as you are such a know it all. Any recommendation is welcome.

It's not even true. Yuri and some other pseudo or quasi exclusives have their photos elsewhere, even the same ones.

Some even have their own "Vetta" (tm) collection offsite: http://peopleimages.com/support/prices

Little late to this thread but yuri uses the TM word Vetta on his personal site!! Jeez, I guess the rich are different.

The script to pay PP stalled/sht the bed/bottomed out (what ever phrase you choose to use) on Friday after 5pm. Working on the weekends is apparently not something the folks at IS have ever heard of.

And I'm sorry Kelvin's response was just snarky, unnecessary and completely irrelevant to the real concerns of contribs that the PP payouts are just taking too fricken long. He can be just as much of a D-bag as Lobo sometimes. And Lobo (in this thread) has actually been civil.

I am just so annoyed right now. I have enough to cash out but I want to wait for the PP payments - to top off the tank so to speak. But they seem to have stalled. Quelle surprise!

I just hate the idea of letting IS keep my money but I am too stubborn to ask for payout before I get what is due me. Am I cutting off my nose to spite my face or just being greedy?

My PP stats for may are still not showing up. Is this normal?? :o
I find it very very annoying that there is no way to see the sales other then what IS reports you. I still havent seen any PP sales, but I dont even know if I have actually sold files on Thinkstock. And I cant say I trust them  very much. I dont even trust them to know how to turn on their PC in the morning.
I've never - or hardly ever - had a day without PP sales over the last couple of years, so if I'm not seeing any it means they haven't started reporting mine yet.

same here but how they process the PP payments are a mystery to me. It bounces around with not really any semblance of order that I could ever tell. I also agree with others here, there is NO WAY they will finish May AND June by Monday cut off payment request.

But if they DO manage to get it done then that just proves that they CAN run the script faster and just choose not to.

They haven't sorted out the GI sales muddle, which they have said they're going to sort out before they start PP. No sense of urgency, deadlines are made and missed. I wonder how many people worked evenings and weekends on this? Silly question, probably.

I suspect the only person working evenings and weekends in their IT department wields a vacuum cleaner.

and they would probably do a better job

Why did you get a ban?

This post about the new Feast site.

It was a sarcastic post referring to the many current site bugs, one of which was that adult content (and other) filters kept getting reset. I was pretty miffed that they were spending time on stuff like that instead of getting the site working.

Lobo sent me site mail and told me to "take a little break". I've been banned ever since. Not only that but all the site mails lobo sent me and my replies to them were removed from my site mail. He was a bit rude, but nothing that could get him fired. I was pretty spooked that he'd go to those lengths.

That was September 2011. In May 2012 I opened the ticket to ask if the ban was permanent and if not, to ask for my privs back. September 5 2012 I received a comment on the ticket from Brenda (oldladybird) saying "I am going to forward this onto the correct department as it was assigned incorrectly and was buried in the ticketing system."

Three months after that, I guess it's buried in another part of the ticketing system...

I remember that thread, your ire was mine as well. In re-reading it it made me think, what the heck ever happened to pastorscott? He was so vocal and now I realise he has not been posting for a really long time. Do you know if he was banned as well?

Not only is zoom back but now it works incrementally for illustrations as well as photos. I have been wanting that for years. It took frickin forever but it works well even on my iPad.

It stinks that IS could not muster the logo program into operation. It really stinks that they strung people along for two plus years. Most contributors (including myself) stopped uploading after six months. Most folks have long since moved on and no longer give a rats patootie, as noted by the eleven posts in the "logo cancelled" thread on the forum. There is one contributor in that thread that uploaded over 200 logos, talk about a true believer! I feel especially bad for those people who think/thought IS is/was a community-centric, contributor-centric company. Those days are over, especially for the little guy.
