I think society is not being told a lot. I see this in the example of Ukraine. There is zero information about Ukraine on US TV channels. But in Ukraine there is war and genocide. The same can be said about UFOs and aliens. The media of mass disinformation simply do not talk about it and everyone thinks that it means none of this. It's simple. This is a massive deception of the masses through the media.

Less than 0.1% of the population, or 1 in 1,000 people, has been diagnosed with gender dysphoria. We read about the people with a psychological disorder and the other alphabet people, making the news as they force their personal choice issues on us. You brought up something more important to the world, where an entire country is being taken over, at war, people dying. Genocide, civilians murdered, the Russian government lying on a daily basis. UFOs and aliens are not news or important, they are just sensational stories to sell tabloids or fantasy books.

Our gender is not debatable, labeled as assigned at birth, it is our genetics. We don't get to pick, based on some emotion or psychological disorder. People being murdered in the Ukraine is more important. If you don't see enough honest news, you aren't looking in the right places. If you are depending on news that comes out of Russia, of course it's all lies and coverup. The rest of the world is showing us the truth.

The moderators on this forum chose to remove certain posts and leave the slur "Alphabet People".

I will not debate this subject further.

However I also cannot prevent others doing so with a moderation team who feel it appropriate to allow such slurs to remain. Of course that means your unpleasant statements are in the public domain where your customers exist who will of course contain "Alphabet People". Good luck with that.

You have no problem calling anyone who disagrees with you a racist and a bigot. When someone disagrees you want them censored, to block their free opinion and thoughts. When anyone disagrees with your nutty UFO and alien crap, you come out slinging personal attacks and ignoring the facts that don't fit. Maybe it's you who should be blocked because of your unpleasant statements. You don't get to trample my thought and free speech with your close minded woke agenda, that doesn't allow anyone saying any different than what you believe.

The moderation team lets you get away with lies and personal attacks, why should they be censoring a word or phrase that defines the many fringe groups?

We have an official response from kelvinjay on the iStock/Getty forum:
" UPDATE: Refunds / cancellations

Some contributors have noticed an increase in cancellations on their royalty statement this month.

A large corporate customer who licenses a high volume of content mistakenly selected these uses as royalty-bearing when, in fact, they were for comp / low-resolution image use. It is standard industry practice that comp uses, for client pitches, mock-ups, etc., are not a royalty generating license.

We subsequently met with the customer to reiterate the correct licensing requirements and reversed these transactions. Due to the customer's sizable team, some assets were selected for intended comp use multiple times, necessitating multiple cancellations

In future, if the customer licenses and downloads some of the affected assets for actual, published projects, these will appear on Connect statements. Please note there is no need to open tickets regarding this issue.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience or confusion caused during this process."

Team comp use means all of these are reversed.

AI Generated Stock Photography / Re: Where to start?
« on: March 23, 2024, 07:11 »

Hey all,

I am new to this AI thing. Just wondering where to start so I can start selling AI images. On Dreamstime for example.

I am currently using Adobe FireFly to generate images but you have to pay....

Thanks in advance!

You only have 34 images, you should be able to add more to bring your total up. DT can't be passive income unless they pay you. Did your Canon Power Shot G2 break? Maybe AI will be your answer.

Yes, it doesn't seem to be as easy as you might think at the first glance.

I found one "study" with analyse of the keywords and other factors of the 10,000 bestsellers on SS:
https://xpiksapp.com/blog/microstock-keywording-analysis/

There are some interesting insights, some no-brainer but aswell some patterns you would not think about.
Probably one should focus more on low-competition keywords by using more verbs and adjectives and less nouns.
Aswell one should probably try more 2-word keywords.

https://xpiksapp.com/blog/keywording-files-for-microstock/

Another interesting aspect to think about is using various image descriptions and keywords instead of the same ones for series, since then images would not compete against each other.
Aswell not using too generic keywords.

I wonder if updating the keywords to current new trends would lead to a better visibility / rankings and more sells or if the ranking is already "fixed" within the time.

You could spend less time trying to trick the search and take better pictures.

I think I may have an explanation for why we're seeing lower royalties on custom licenses this month versus during January. In another thread about royalties, Mat Hayward said:

It should make sense JoAnn but there is still something I don't understand:
For what I can see the "custom license" earning for contributors is not really "fluctuating": at the contrary it decreases regularly from january 1st
It started with about 1,47$, then started decreasing and it had never went back to that price

I can't see a single sale with a higher amount than the previous ones.
It quite difficult to understand that the increase of use of this pro plan is so regular in 45 days from the beginning of year.

Did this happen last year too or just January 2024?

Shutterstock.com / Re: Shutterstock steals sales. Control purchase
« on: February 13, 2024, 09:45 »
It's an interesting experiment, and I understand that the contributors want to stay anonymous, because buying your own images is against the TOS. But on the other hand, this leaves very little room for verification. Anyone can claim anything. Always be careful with 3rd party information like "heard it from a friend who has been told by a friend that another friend..." Information can get thickened or altered per hop :-)
It's not much a friend of a friend thing. I know the guy on the forums for many years. And yes, it's about ToS. He is still not ready to pull out the portfolio from SS.

But this is not the first time I have seen such accusations against the SS. It was always something like, I know the client and he told me about a purchase that I dont see, or someone would just say that some studio made a control purchase and it's failed, etc. Things I might have missed or not believed. But this time I have a clear numbers, clear data on what and when. That's why I bring it here.

This is a good idea. Ask your friend to check DP, DT, AS, IS and Alamy for the same, then write the anonymous report of the findings. Why only SS?

All those nobody stock contributors hate me.  LOL!!  Whatever.
They got nothing better than ridiculing people.  Useless posters.
They've never started a meaningful thread/conversation.  All they do is to come in and ridicule people.  And then I strike back, they get upset like a little punk.  LMAO!!  Weak.

Seek support from a mental health professional.

I had a look at the mage page.

In the terms of service it says that everything created is public domain.

Not sure if that is ideal.

Everything created is public domain because AI can't be copyrighted. A machine is not a human mind.

While Mick West is still defending his balloon theory for the Jellyfish footage Dave Falch has stepped in to give his analysis.

Conclusion: Black DARPA craft undergoing testing and footage leaked.

https://youtu.be/S9qbB23BuhI?feature=shared

He does however explain what it's unlikely to be. Spoiler: No balloon animals

When you post stupid videos and allegations like this, you make yourself look like a fool. Giant jellyfish UFO. Looks like a deflated weather balloon, drifting in the wind. Stick to serious questions like Dod, disclosure and the oversite committee, not foolish sci-fi click bait.

It's just a weather balloon. UFO nuts make the ordinary into a mystery. They lack critical thinking of any kind.

Lowls, prove it's not just a weather balloon.

NASA Report, Officials stressed the panel found no evidence that UAPs had extraterrestrial origin.

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/other/nasa-s-ufo-task-force-has-released-its-final-report-it-s-not-aliens/ar-AA1gJtVJ

We find no evidence that UAPs are extraterrestrial in origin, said team lead David Spergel at Princeton University during the press conference. Most events are explainable as planes, balloons, drones, weather phenomena and instrument features.

NASA Independent Panel report.

That said it only exhibits 70% human dna and 30% unknown.
?????

Unknown doesn't translate to aliens or anything, it means... UNKNOWN very simple, it couldn't be identified because the structure was too old or had been destroyed. Finding nothing is not a way to jump to the conclusion that it's something else.

Thank you Peter for explaining the obvious. Just answering a question. Don't panic no one is challenging your religious beliefs.

Looks more like they are challenging your cult religious beliefs. Your denialist rants and personal attacks on anyone who questions your religion is over reaction to doubts. Why can't you answer or give us the evidence for the claims instead of many people, or calling them whistleblowers? Their whistle makes no sound just a stream of hot air.

12

One thing for certain in my experience is that it has never ever gone down like this before. Especially with what I know is coming.

What is coming? When?

The aliens are coming seems to be what Lowls is saying. I don't welcome that idea. If they are here as the grim reapers to harvest us, will they take the prize cattle first or thin the herd. Maybe they see the planet is being mismanaged and the pandemic didn't kill enough. We have famine, climate change, over population, nuclear weapons and more. I don't know why everyone thinks they are benevolent. We could be nothing but stock for a food supply for many other species. No one welcomed the slave traders, but people want to meet the aliens who could end our freedom.

I think the aliens first mission will be remove the agencies that are interfering with the plans. Take out the government that has captured fellow visitors and holds them hostage while trying to duplicate the technology. Next will be the meddling investigators who are exposing the aliens to the rest of us. They are not hiding without a reason. I don't welcome the aliens revealing their plans here.

13
What do the aliens look like? We have all kinds of reports and claims, people have seen them and believe they have been abducted. What do aliens look like in their descriptions. That's a pretty basic and simple question? Is there any group consensus or collective way to describe the alien appearance?

What do UFOs look like. I mean, I can describe an airplane, boat or a car, can someone describe what the aliens travel in? No I don't expect anyone to understand the propulsion systems, just some nice basic data to build from?

There are all kind of photos and claims. Darn near everyone now carries a camera/phone that can take photos or video. I would expect we'd have more and better images, than in the old days.

After the disclosure or the official first contact, you should be able to buy an encyclopedia of aliens with illustrations. If you survive the ontological shock.

For now, the field is so muddied with hoaxes and disinformation, that for the average person it is difficult to figure out what is true.

Listen to serious and credible people like Elizondo, Nolan, Coulthart or Valle. You will not hear stories about the Galactic Federation or alien races from them. But what you hear from them sounds very serious. Elizondo and Nolan probably cannot disclose everything they know and have seen. Look up that famous "somber" comment from Elizondo...

There are plenty of reports from "experiences", just look for them. There are some recurring "races" of aliens in their stories, but it is up to you to judge how credible a given experiencer is. I will not do that for you. I am not trying to convince anyone about anything, but I wish some people expanded their intellectual horizons a little. It is great to be an open-minded skeptic, but it is stupid to be a denialist.

Why haven't we had a disclosure or an official first contact yet? Well, just look at this thread... Denialists and religious fundamentalists on the whole planet would probably go berserk... But things have accelerated greatly in the recent months for some reason. I think we are approaching that moment.

This will be just another farce from the UFO cult followers. These events are nothing but more programming for the weak minds of the brainwashed.

Shutterstock.com / Re: New Data / Data set Licensing
« on: June 30, 2023, 08:15 »
I just got a review that says data set image which means a rejection, without saying it's a rejection or why. This is stupid dumb. I will delete the image. Now SS doesn't have to review, just let AI drop them into data set or approve.

Each one needs to be edited to remove the color bar in the lower right. Resizing could be done batch. Still, I haven't seen anything from Open AI that didn't need editing, and people who use the other, still need to edit for size and error's.

Not sure what color bar you are talking about, my AI images don't have any.

Everyone who still claims AI images need some major editing is either lying to keep up the pretense that there is some actual human work involved or is simply using the wrong AI image generator.
Maybe this was true for the first gen Ai generators, but by now they produce perfect results at least 90% of the time.

Perfect results, you're joking.

Artist wins and rejects the prize.
https://www.msn.com/en-xl/news/other/artist-refuses-photography-award-after-revealing-his-picture-was-ai-generated/ar-AA19Yj8M
For me, working with AI image generators is a co-creation, in which I am the director. It is not about pressing a buttonand done it is. The images are "fake memories of a past, that never existed, that no-one photographed," created by putting them through AI image generators between 20 and 40 times, Eldagsen says on his website.

midjourney temporarily halts free image trial

https://www.pcworld.com/article/1677533/midjourney-halts-free-trials-after-ai-photos-go-viral.html

Do not understand what the "AI-generated fake images that went viral" have to do with the free trial. It's not like the paid subscription will keep you from generating "fake images" - After all that's the whole point of midjourney.

"There's an expert .. who says that if there is not an indefinite pause on AI development ... 'Literally everyone on Earth will die,'"

Uhm, okay? I still do not understand what that has  to do with Midjourney stopping their free trial?

Humor that's a shortage around here.

Who cares any more?

People who still make decenet money from SS? For most contributors here, according to the monthly poll, SS ist still the second best earner.
46 behind AdobeStock and 6 ahead of IStock second best and falling.

even more, each image used should count in level determination, and at time of usage, not every 6 months.

They aren't counted? How much do we make per use?

We don't know, and we don't know.

« on: December 28, 2022, 08:32 »
I believe that only applies to immigrants or other individuals who are not able to apply for a social security number. I do have an SSN, but I do not give that out and instead use my EIN for any business related stuff. I also use it on any tax returns as well.

But it seems the only way Depositphotos will allow me to use the EIN as an individual is if I provide letters of incorporation.... but you have to be incorporated to have letters of incorporation at which point you are no longer an individual?

You're right they're wrong. We'd all have to be incorporated according to them.

"Hi,

This is to inform you that our account on Adobe Stock has been temporarily deactivated. We are in the process of adjusting our integration including a few technical improvements, potentially adding creator names under each image/video and etc.

Due to the holiday season, the process is taking a bit longer, but we expect to have everything completed in January. With the updates in place, the operations will become smoother and more reliable, allowing a long-term consistent workflow.

Wirestock team apologizes for the inconvenience, and wishes you happy holidays!

Thanks,
Team Wirestock"

you have to feel bad for those who trusted them with significant portfolio.  Also curious what they are doing with things like the SS "Contributor Funds:

How was WS supposed to know what SS was doing? We didn't. Give them some time instead of always being negative, finding the worst and accusing.

where is the accusation in "also curious".  by the way same applies to DACS payments from Alamy, ADAGP from IStock, which are Not new processes.

You made a selected quote of your accusation.

You need to manually copy the necessary files to new file, even then you won't find the exact info screen on deepmeta. After the latest deepmeta upgrade, users can't see the daily change anyway so it wont be a big deal.

No more data sync all the files have to be added manual.
