General Stock Discussion / Re: To start a Microstock Union
« on: June 03, 2020, 01:36 »
Thats it, after the new earnings structure on shutterstock, i am totaly lost what to do next.
Strangely number of sales was going steadily down, and after royalties cut it went down even more.
I make vectors every day and upload them to adobe and shutterstock and other, and adobe sales are climbing up,
while shutterstock are going down. How do we know if shutterstock shows the sales numbers correctly?
I guess i doesnt matter anymore. If i could, i would delete my shutterstock portfolio in an instant, but i cant.
Microstock is my main income source. And i believe the same thing will happen with other agencies.
I am working with microstock agencies from 2007. This is time when i am stopping making new vector content.
And when i find new good source of income or maybe even a job, i will remove every single of my images.

Creators deserve 70% or 80% royalties. We need anew microstock website with these percentages.

Hello,

I know most people here dont like freepik. I have my vectors there and didnt have any problems.
Also it is my biggest earning site.

Did not have any problems until now (probably).
They send their payments from 10 to 15th of the month.
I want to ask people who contribute to freepik.
Is it just me who did not received the payment yet?

General Stock Discussion / vectorstock customization service

Hello Fellow Artist's

Just today i came across option on vectorstock called vector customization service.
It looks like you now can hire artist to customize the arwork. I wonder who are those artists who can customize it.
I feel like the customization should do the artist who created the image firstly.
Anyone knows something about this?

Yes thats only simpleipn. Uploading new images is a little time consuming. Where will always be those who share our images on their websites for free, i believe theres not much we can do. Right now i cannot make this collection exclusive to my store, i upload to all other microstock sites where subsription model is as bad as selling whole collection for 30$. Besides it's not all collection, it contains only older images. Anyway, single images sell better than the collection :)

I like it. Straightforward, simple, easy to use, fast. The prices are reasonable. I would buy something from it. But another payment option besides Paypal would be good. Also, I think your Legal is a bit skimpy. Your License could be more complete and you might need a ToS to protect yourself more.

On your About page,
"This is great offer for those who doesnt mind spending a few dollars for vector art." should be "This is great offer for those who don't mind spending a few dollars for vector art. "

Did you do the web dev yourself or what did you use?

Thanks. It's the same template as on my other website - greatvectors.com. I adjusted it a bit. I used free script - simpleipn to make download pages. I guess adwords targeted traffic could help a little? Still not feel comfortable to take the risk spending money on advertisement.

Sales are picking up!!  last three days have been good actually. Anybody else?

I have zero sales allready for a week.

cannot be true.. looking at your port they all look good, really weird no sales..

Maybe i'm stuck with that bronze rank... I have good sales at all other sites, this one should be performing well, but it isnt. Maybe i just need to wait.

123rf.com is 10x better performer to me than fotolia, how is that possible?
123RF is such a low performer to me that your results surprise me.

How does it compare to the rest? I'm curious to know, since I just dumped something like 138 photos over there (waiting to be reviewed though, but the acceptance should be 100% since they're all on the big 4)

To me istock is in the first place, dreamstime always was in the second place, but now 123rf is in the second and dreamstime in the third, i no longer submit to shutterstock. Last month in fotolia i made 9$... Thats terrible. Looks like new stuff really doesnt sell at all especially to those who have lower rank. Yes, at 123rf you have to have big portfolio to make something. I have over 2000 images there (only 3 rejected images from these 2000), they accept almost everything.

Hello,
Strange how you get so many downloads on fotolia. I have been with Fotolia since 2007 and sales were always terrible... It looks like the more i upload the less i get. 123rf.com is 10x better performer to me than fotolia, how is that possible?
