Because generally with IT breaches most people who are breached don't find out until much later than the actual incident. Its far more common than finding out immediately. They also have woeful IT security infrastructure and systems buyer security side.
Ultimately this has happened pretty much every month going back several years all using the same procedure - mass spam to hide a payout change. Every single side says its not their end causing it and they cant all be correct.

Two points:
What name is missing from this list of hacked databases and PW compromises? This is independent reporting, and SS isn't on there.
What sites do you see on the list, that many of us might have had an account?

Well, only negative opinions are welcome here ...
So, I am not happy with a general condition of the microstock industry, especially, that I am making my full income here and I am living in US.
However, my total earnings from SS during June and July are much higher than before or the same time last year. It doesn't mean that I like SS! Right now, I am more concerned about not so great performance of AS. And, Pond5 is a disaster for me this year. Fortunately, I am producing mostly still images.
My SS earnings are lower, up to 60 or 70% now. I am not happy with all of Micro either, but the personal attacks and nagative attacks on anybody who doesn't go with the mob, is not right. Two other people responded to you, but youre just gonna keep on slammin me.
And if anyone is 12, its you. Butthurt? OMG you are so funny and hip. Good grief.

Or they could have AI review to ingest new, but a human reviews everything that passed, nobody looks at the fails. AI can't review photos, we know that, they know that. Maybe finding similar or focus, lighting and some other, but there's no AI that can review a photo.

I, too, am banned and I have never had any interaction with him at all. I wonder if its a Jon Oringer incognito account?
Incognito secret accounts, black opps. As seen on TV https://youtu.be/sRWtFVFSx5I
Im also banned, I guess because I pointed out that he gets barely any sales. Easy enough to see his Twitter account, though, where he spends a lot of time retweeting Jo Ann, so I thank him for that, though he only has 14 followers so hes not helping us spread the message all that much. I feel sorry for the guy.
Very sorry.
On a slightly hilarious note I see stockphotofan1 is still banging the drum for his paymasters
https://twitter.com/stockphotofan1
Lonely guy . Apparently he's blocked a lot of people so that he/she/it can reply to their tweets without response. Talk about one sided conversation
He has no followers, no likes and just seems to have taken upon himself to answer in shutterstock's place. Since they anyhow don't want to do it themselves
Seems like one more way SS botched their people handling and PR. Or maybe its Stan/Jon's frustration account
Somebody who watches for your reactions, a big troll. SS wouldn't waste the time.
Speaking of trolls.
Concentrate, pay attention, focus.

Over time the real talent on Shutterstock will just stop uploading if they have not disabled their ports already, nobody who is sane is going to continue to work for 10c...
Thanks for your input!
It's confusing to see those who can afford the loss and take a stand are still up. They might have stopped uploading though. There's Anja K and a few other well known contributors that have taken action but like I said most that I have been following since day one and that have been featured on SS in the past still have their portfolio's up. What message are they giving to SS and other contributors? It's these people that have the power to change the market much faster then we do yet they seem to be ok with selling at 0,10c? Or perhaps they have gotten a deal like Africa Studio?
What deal did Africa get?

Does anyone had a similar experience:
I started uploading to Alamy about 3 weeks ago. So far, so good, very smooth, all accepted.
Now I received a message, that 1 image failed QC. Fair enough, I thought.
Then I checked my Account just to see that ALL remaining 22 batches with more than 900 images, have been rejected without being assessed just because 1 image failed QC. 22 batches uploaded over a period of 4 days, not related to each other, different topics, different shooting dates, all accepted at other agencies.
I contacted support, we'll see what they say. If they expect me to upload the whole lot again, the relationship will be over before it actually started.
You never read the FAQ? https://www.alamy.com/contributor/faqs/quality-control/?section=4

These companies enable undemocratic governments by their collusion and silence.
They will care about the status of democracy elsewhere if their customers care. So far, I doubt that too many SS customers care about how SS is doing business with China. First and foremost, customers want lower prices and probably good quality for that price. Very few are ready to pay more for the sake of a principle. As long as customers are not ready to change their attitude, why is someone expecting a private company to act differently?
IG Farben's customers didn't want to change their attitude either and IG Farben were happy to use the "cheap" labour.
Neither did Union Carbide at Bopal, Monsanto and Agent Orange,
Or for that matter Exxon Shipping Company and the Exxon Valdez, BP and the Deepwater Horizon, Ford and the Edsel, Tobacco companies? and so on....
So I guess in your world thats just fine
Could you try to make sense in English? Ford Edsel, Agent Orange, Exxon shipping, what are you talking about? None have a thing to do with SS and the China market.

For fun a few months ago I sent SS a request that I was interested in becoming a photo reviewer. They responded back to me in a couple of weeks . I didn't not save their email but it went something like this. It was a very nice and polite letter. Thank you for your interest in SS. At this time you just don't have the experience we are looking for as we have other applicants that fit our requirements better. Thank you from SS. So I guess my dream job will be on hold. Now for my background. I have been doing stock photos since Mosses came down form the mountain. I have a small site on SS and most all the other top sites. I get small sales from most of the sites daily. I have sold/published over a million photos in my time on earth as a photographer ..again over a long time in the business. So maybe someday I can get my dream job as a reviewer. I can only hope and pray....W.Scott McGill
Trust me, you wouldn't have wanted the job even if they were interested in your application. I had to sign an NDA so I can't say much more ...
I was a reviewer for a different agency over a decade ago. I did it for a couple of years. There is nothing to it. You just look at photos and decided to accept or reject based upon the agency's standards. Back then you were paid 50cents per review, so some inspectors were making 6 figures. Of cause this was a long time ago. No doubt a great deal has changed since.
Ask Laurin he reviewed for 3 years and knows everyone important.

Hi There. Just took a look at the Dreamstime site as I am considering opening an account there. I was a bit confused regarding the payout per image on average. Does anyone here have any insight into that and might you be able to share what an average image earns the photographer or perhaps a general payout range?
Also idea if they are a good fit for editorial images do they place them regularly?

Probably going to regret stopping by here, but here goes.
In my lifetime, Democrats have never lost an election. ever. Either they win, in which case, there is apparently no shenanigans or cheating, or they was some variation of cheating or other scandal. But lost? Never happened.
I'm pretty liberal, and I can't even agree with that. There are definitely a lot of shenanigans with voter suppression and gerrymandering, but people still vote the way they vote.
Who would be spreading rumors pro-Sanders content was being circulated by Russian agents and Trump supporters. Democrats who are trying to get rid of him.
