General Stock Discussion / Re: Envato Elements?
« on: February 10, 2022, 22:01 »
How does Envato compare to the other sites? Is it worth joining them anymore? I heard years ago they were quite good but don't seem to get positive reviews.

2021 was my first year with them and they came in 5th position from the revenue point of view (5% of my total earnings).
They tend to be very picky with the photos and they don't accept editorial, so my portfolio with them is less than 1/10 from what I have on other stock sites, but if you already have the photos with metadata, the effort is minimal.

That's good to know. Thanks very much  :)

Sales really good since the freebie promo. And it's great Mat communicates with us.  :)

A topic for us "oldtimers". ;) Dreamstime was my first agency as well nine years ago. There's a nostalgic motivation staying with them but they also provide steady sales throughout the years. A minor earner but always predictable with frequent commissions in the dollar category as opposed to the penny offerings.....Personally, I would think if they simplified things for the buyer. Use far fewer categories they could improve sales.

I too remember the good 'ol days...$800 a month wasn't uncommon. But that was over 10 years ago. Oh how times have changed.

Working fine today  :D

I received word this morning that payments may not happen until tomorrow (Wednesday). There are a lot of moving parts with this process so your patience is greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Mat Hayward

Thank you Mat for always showing respect for the contributors by communicating with us.

Far more than some companies do (mentioning no names) ...  ;)

Totally agree. The others treat us like mushrooms - kept in the dark and fed bullsh*t  :)

Hey Folks,

Are you able to upload images to canstock via your web loader?

Thanks

Yes. Tried several times but no luck. Don't make enough there to worry about the images not uploaded.

Adobe Stock continues to grow in sales; plus Mat comes on here and lets us know what's going on which is a bonus.

Seems like sales on Adobe decreases since their new announcement and region plan, if we can believe the Poll Results on the right and see the graphs.

Adobe Stock has never been so slow as in the last few or more weeks. I'm not a large seller on the site averaging $40 a month over a recent 12 month period - until last month. I've only had 2 downloads so far this month. I'm glad I never listened to the loud mouths telling us on SS forums to abandon SS for Adobe Stock.
Interesting. Maybe different portfolios attract different buyers.

My earnings have dropped to lows I haven't seen in ten years over the last two months. I appreciate times are hard for a lot of the agencies but this is really weird...

Anyone else had a similar experience?

Same here, about half what it has been.

By no, if you qualified, you should have received an email confirming if you've received a code for All Apps or Single App subscriptions. Check your inbox for confirmation and don't click the banner until you are ready to redeem!

Please review the information, including the FAQ before taking any action.

Ah ok, that explains it then. Thanks Mat

Hi Matt,
Thanks very much!
When I clicked on link there was the code but no option for which app I want to select. I'm assuming the app I'm using now will automatically be applied against the code. Or do I still have to select somewhere?
Thanks

I contacted Admin. They said log out, wait hour (I waited 40 mins) then log back in.
Works now  :)

I've been with them for years. Sales trickle in, lowest earning site. But payments always come through ok. They do say it can take two weeks to receive payment. I think payments are made either on the 1st or the 15th of the month.
I'm about to cash out now so will see what happens...

Received payment same day as cashout request (PayPal).

Sales are down about 30% in November from previous months.
