Yaymicro / Where does Yayimages upload videos?
« on: June 25, 2021, 18:48 »
Hi guys,

We know they submit contributor images to Depositphotos but what about videos, any idea?

Likewise. I think they are not doing it until you reach the payable amount but @Smithore has 100$, that's weird.

I think they are Turkish distributors of Depositphotos, I barely remember I have contacted them before, not 100% sure though :)

29
I exited from there.  No sales and too many technical glitches. Upload is not friendly. Not worth the time.

Yeah, it is a bit difficult to submit tbh. I was just curious if it still is worth it, you say not :)

30
Hi guys,

I wonder if you are lucky with sales on Motion Elements? I just was approved and curious if it is worth it?

31
Two stock agency I work with is closed , domains are not exist anymore  and no notice to me and so far no respond.
May I send my images to other agency? It was exclusive before for this 2 stocks agency.
I am talking about editorial images from red carpet.
Appreciate any idea or suggestion.

I think you have full freedom to submit them to another agency in this case. If they do not care the agreement between you and themselves, why should you?

Guys, have you seen this? It seems Deposit prevents Yay transactions currently.

I randomly checked many images. Each shows this warning.

P.S. https://depositphotos.com/portfolio-20524830.html?content=photo

33
I did not know they are also doing what Yayimages do. It was easy to upload but I am stopping from this day forward. I feel after a while, I will have 0 company to upload :)

By the way, do you know where they submit videos? Any portfolio of them on other stock websites?

34
Yeah true. I am curious of what will be the next to be honest however dreamstime is no alternative, their sales number is worse than anything at least for me. In the end, I feel we will drop all and move on.

35
It is clear as a day that these companies only think themselves for such cases. Every update is only and only for themselves.

36
I did not even know about this region thing until recently. I feel ashamed that all these while, I have been sharing my portfolio with such limited visibility. I think only 5%-10% of my entire portfolio are actually showing up.

I think I need to change my strategy and start promoting other sites now :(

I feel your pain and completely agree with you. And 5%-10 is a good number to be honest, I think it is lesser :(

37
Yes it seems submitting new images futile for now. Recently I feel this as well because of promoting only best sellers. They might try to eliminate all other contributors not by force but their "own will".

In the short term, this might be a logical step for them but in the medium turn and long run, the costumers will notice the scarcity of new images and editor teams pressure dealers to have agreements with other stock agencies and they lose solid costumers in vain. When Adobe realize this, it will be too late and the smart guys who suggested this region system will be accused. How is this theory? :)

Category: Other
Next popup: Unauthorised Use
(that's the nearest fit - and they don't make it easy, which in this sort of case they should.)

Yes, best way for now.

How can he upload them without logos on it? Through pexels or freepik?

41
My sales have been very poor. I have 13,000 pictures and only earn 100 to 200 dollars per month, so I don't have a great feeling.

any change for last 3 weeks compared to previous ones?  ::)

42

Sounds like someone put "How to scam people" in Google translate...

 :D :D :D

43
Hmm. Never heard of it and tbh seems suspicious  ::)

44
Hi guys,

I think this does not influence every contributor but for those who are from some countries have problems. As you know Adobe changed its market policy recently and preferred to present only best sellers' works to costumers from these countries while blocking all others. I have not sold anything after this revision. I am not sure if this is directly related to this policy change or something else. How is your situation on this issue?

Non-exclusive contributors got this info today fyi.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is the Premium + Video subscription priced for the customer?
The Premium + Video subscriptions will be priced at approximately 1.5 to 2X the cost of the Image-only subscriptions. We will be testing in various markets with our initial launch in order to identify the optimal price. Our aim is to price these plans in a way that drives increased video downloads and grows revenue and royalties.

What asset volumes / packages are available within Premium + Video?
Theres a variety of Premium + Video subscription packages, ranging from 10 to 50 downloads per month. Please note that these packages are not yet available in all countries. The current subscription packages for your country can be found here - https://www.istockphoto.com/plans-and-pricing

How is the price per file calculated?
In accordance with the Rate Card for iStock.com subscriptions, the price per file is determined at the end of each subscription month (which is specific to each subscription and may not be the end of the calendar month) by dividing the monthly price for that subscription by the number of downloads against that subscription.

How will the average Premium + Video subscription royalty compare with the average video Premium Access royalty?
The new Premium + Video subscription packages will be more comparable to iStock Image Subscription packages but with expected higher average royalties earned, given the higher price point of the Premium + Video packages.

What do we expect the most popular Video + Premium package to be?
Based on our Image subscriptions, we expect the 10 downloads per month, monthly subscriptions to be the most popular. For many customers, this gives them enough content to manage their needs in a flexible way. This is also why we default to the 10 download per month plans on our Plans and Pricing pages.

What impact will Premium + Video have on video credit sales?
Some customers who buy video using credits may switch to subscription packages, but many of our customers actually prefer to license content via credits because that method better suits their specific needs.

We think subscription plans offer increased opportunity especially from:

Customers who are not currently licensing video at all

Customers who are licensing video but currently from another source

Increasing the amount of video content licensed from our existing video buyers

As with all subscriptions, the intent is to drive much higher volume of downloading and licensing, in exchange for customers moving into more committed plans.

Hi guys,

Since the submitting products is relatively easy, I submitted many images there however I have 0 sales so far. Do you have a positive feedback? What is your opinion of them?

I sold 2 images out of 200 for about 6 months.
1$ revenue each.
Interestingly, two days ago, they sent 0.90$ through paypal which I don't have an account to get.

Here's their e-mail:

However, I already gave up uploading and won't bother to do it again ever  :)

Alamy sells like crap so I think this will be the end for me then. I haven't received the exciting news yet, but I'm considering closing my account.

If they don't want to show us respect, screw them.

likewise :)
