Well I have 11/12 on the test. I said that glass is real because of color aberrations on the bottom of the glass but it seams that animator was clever enough to make ones to fool us.
I am working in Lightwave and it is not true that IS don't like 3D. I have a lot of 3D illustations witch are in "flames" of close to the "flame"(100 downloads). Well I am new to the stock and don't have time to do renderings for stock but I have to tell you that 3D illustrations makes money!

I don't agree with you perry because we are selling rights so we must compare price of equal rights. It is very confused to me. Everybody said that Alamy is much expensive than microstock but when you compare rights what you get is cheaper Alamy prices. PS: This prices I found on Istock and Alamy are for the buyers and photographer's share depending on your Istock canister level. So I think this is not important. I am looking from the buyer's point of view.

Just to point as I see this. This is Istock prices:
Extended License Options Images & Illustrations Unlimited Reproduction / Print Runs 100 credits Multi-Seat License: unlimited users 50 credits
So for one image it is 150 credits cc 150$. At Alamy cost is 95,58$ for the same rights and same size. Can you explain to me how can be 95,58$ more than 150$???

If it isn't true can you explain to me. Thanks.

It is the same price or similar.
Alamy Full RF = (almost) Dreamstime EL-RF
Alamy Full RF LESS or EQUAL Istock EL (unlimited seat + more print + everything you get at Alamy)
That is why I am asking. If you buy at Istock or DT image cost could be higher than Alamy.

I am new to alamy so I have some basic question I can't find on alamy site. Can I sell RF image on Alamy witch is allready selling on other microstock sites?
As I see Alamy's RF is normal Full RF and its is similar to various EL-RF on other sites. So I think it is ok. What do you think?
Thanks!

Well, it happend to everyone for a mind black out. I am reading this post and switching 1080 to 720 in my mind???. I have to sleep a little! (All day and night keywording new images, that is a good reason for a black out) Btw, all my animations are HD1080 progressive. So, it is time to go to sleep and rest my mind cells.

Congratulation Leaf on your new HV30! Istock accepting only 1080i, so I think there is just one option to shot If you shot progressive you will have to downsize to 720p to be accepted.

If we are talking about the same camera canon HV 20 or 30 it is HDV camera. So there is no main difference because all cameras produce HD 1080i format. Only difference is in frame rate. In that case NTSC is better because it has 30 frames per second. And for the video clip buyers they really don't care if it is 25 frames or 30 frames per second. I test this with my clips and there is very little differences in downloads when we are talking about HD resolution. On SD resolutin there is big difference but if you are buying HD camera forget anything about NTSC or PAL and just buy camera what want.

Mostly with Newtek lightwave 3D. And camera video is shot with three type cameras small Sony DC-3, Sony DVCAM and older shots with SONY Betacam SP. Well if you are thinking about video my small Sony DC-3 is quite enough to start. Now you have better models like DC-5 or DC-7. Probably the best buy will be Adobe after FX and playing with video in that software. Most of my clips are postprocess even animations.

My animation profile earning is 162$/year per video animation clip (still raising) and 11$/year for camera video on another profile (also raising but much slower than animation)

I am telling you from Istock perspective. They have joint function for putting all versions on the same page and buyer can choose what they want.
But, as I am editor and director for long time now and with Istock from video begining (2 accounts - 1 private and 1 for company) this statement is true and it is not true. In 99% cases, every clip you can convert from PAL to NTSC with just converting resolution but without resampling frame rate, just renumbering frames to NTSC frame rate. In that case NTSC clip is little bit speed up but you don't loose quality. And this speed variation is not visible to common buyers. In fact when you convert from PAL to NTSC with proper tool you reduce noise and sharpen image also.
So If you shoot PAL and convert to NTSC you attract all buyers. But if you shoot NTSC you loose all PAL editors and producers because NTSC to PAL conversion can't fulfill broadcast standards (In some cases such documentaries can).
I can tell you that buyers who don't understand difference they are buying web and HD web resolutions because that is what they need. Editors and producers know the difference and they are buying exact type witch is very easy to choose on Istock. Istock have also policy to refund of money for buyers who download wrong version.
I think that IS has very nice HD, PAL, NTSC page for video and I read on the web that Istock has more than 80% of video business in microstock video. I can't confirm that because I am exclusive to Istock but if someone can tell something about earning on both sites it will be very nice. Thnx!

And I forgot to mention.
NTSC is selling much more than PAL. For me rate is aprox. 3:1

I suggesting for to buy PAL camera because you can easily convert PAL to NTSC and NTSC can't convert to PAL without image quality losses.
So buy PAL, convert to NTSC and upload both. Dario

Well, you use these words twice in any of Title / Description / Keywords. That means you can use once in title, once in description and once in keywords.
I didn't upload for a months there but as I remember that is the rule. Try it I think it works.

I personaly think that in this picture noise not a problem. There is a LOT Color aberration in your picture. Use Adobe Lihtroom to correct this

Leaf, just a little correction. Corbis and SV are owned by Bill Gates personally. There is no Microsoft in it. He owns 100% and I think that he don't wont any involvement of Microsoft. As I see it it is good. And what if Microsoft own such company we could get such mail: "General failure, All your earnigs will be reset and you have to pay 100$ for start uploading again." and in EULA " All images witch you upload on this stock site is copyrighted by Microsoft and can be used by Microosoft for own purpose"
