Leaf, totally agree with you. For 3 cent I will write jus 3 letters for snapshoot "snp".
In our hard and true life they pick reason from drop down menu witch is not perfect reason but we have to deal with it, and think what is wrong with my images not what is wrong with reviewer.

Aperture wins!

Yes Aperture wins, because more people use it. But does it really have better performance.

Check this out from this article:

"Correcting lens problems is a real issue, though, and Lightroom has a chromatic aberration correction I find very useful. It lets you fix some of the magenta, red, yellow, and blue fringes that show up in high-contrast areas, especially near the corners of images, and it also can alleviate the purple fringing overall. Aperture lacks this."

Does anybody except Yuri who is in microstock business can live without this?

iStockPhoto.com / Re: why do YOU buy at istock???
« on: April 01, 2008, 08:29 »
As a buyer (also photographer) I mostly buy at istock and some at dramstime. Istock is preferred because they have what others don't have. For example I need Egyptian image of god Osiris and I find best images on Istock. Quality is best on istock and with zoom viewer you can see for yourself with all details.

Next, istock has best search engine for multiple word guess. Also because my english isn't well enough it search also synonimes.

I hope that my reasons help you for what you need it for.

Dreamstime.com / Re: Is it just me or DreamsTime is out?
« on: March 31, 2008, 16:01 »
Dreamstime company is situated in Romania and there is middle of the night so we will wait at least 6-7 hours. This is not a first time for dreamstime. I am surprise that they don't have technician working from 5pm to 7am.

Edited: This time they solve problem earlier. They probably hired someone because they have lot of money now by selling ours images for subscriptions and payed us 25cents.

General - Top Sites / Re: A review of Image reviews
« on: March 14, 2008, 05:44 »
Well there is no problem with reviewers. In fact only problem is each agency business orientation. Every one of us taking different pictures and motives so beyond technical quality their is acceptance quota for each theme.

My ratios are in last 2 years (not counting first year when I skill myself in technical issues)

IS - 70%
SS - 99%
StockXpert - 40%
Fotolia - 50%
Dreamstime - 82%

So every one of us after we solve technical issues we need to know what kind of image they need and how much. You must now that sometimes because of business informations they don't tell you exact reason for rejection, they told most nearest reason for rejection. That is  the same in all firms.

But sometimes you can do something about that reason of rejection. Use your imagination in naming images (that helps a lot at dreamstime and IS) and be specific and clear with useful informations in description (SS) and with fotolia don't upload same theme batches. Upload 2 by 2 images of the same location every week and you will have bigger acceptance.

Well that is from my experience.

Anyka,

They told you exactly what you need to do. Almost every country in Europe has the same VAT law accept the % are different. So you need to make invoice for every transaction without adding VAT.  Levels of % of VAT don't have influence when you making invoice outside of EU.
In my country I need to put at the end of the invoice number of the law witch explains when to use VAT and when not to.
In most countries you don't need to put that number.

And don't forget every moneybookers transaction can be viewed by SWIFT number and name by your government. Also every credit card transaction can be also viewed by them. So you need to make invoice even you don't have to send invoice to the non EU agency. That is why you have to make every invoice on time.
