General Stock Discussion / Shutterstock threaten to close my account for submitting AI - but they are not

Hi

Uploaded some illustrations and some were rejected by SS

"AI Generated Content: AI generated content is prohibited. Repeated submission of such content will result in account suspension and/or termination."

Thing is they are not AI, I don't use AI. I've emailed SS to dispute this but it's a bit worrying if they can ban you because of their mistake.

Anyone else had this experience?

Hi

Are there any stock submission services out there that are any good. Not just keywording but submit the files as well.

I'm using MS Microstock plus which is good but it looks like another agency could be blocked (Deposit photos). Istock was already blocked after Ukraine war.

Anyone else getting more rejections on Adobe - loads rejected mainly on "aesthetic appeal" or tech issues. Usually have only a few rejections with Adobe. Oddly less rejections on Shutterstock recently (fingers crossed).

Computer Hardware / Dirty camera sensor

Hi

Looks like I've got some sensor dust. Appears on both my lenses. Done a camera sensor clean from the camera settings and blown the sensor with a rocket air blower (gently).

So question is should I do a full sensor clean myself or get a professional to clean it. Heard doing yourself is very risky but I'm looking at £60 for a pro clean. We don't have any camera shops near where I live.

Any comments appreciated - thanks

You can also submit them by weekly or monthly collection if they're few (1-50); this way, it'll be easier to process your batches so they'll be available faster on our live site.

I don't know but isn't it my job to produce, keyword and upload - isn't it Dissolves job to manage the files on their server. It's not like they are doing this out of the goodness of their heart - they do get a cut out of anything I sell.

Photography Equipment / Shutter release cables for camera slider

Hi there

Just bought a slider for my GH5-S but need a shutter release cable for timelapses.

B&H recommend https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1054114-REG/vello_rcc_p1_2_5_2_5mm_remote_shutter_release.html/overview

But shipping doubles the price. So if my GH5 has a 2.5mm jack and the slider has a 2.5mm jack - is that all I need to search on ie are all 2.5mm jacks the same.

Prob a stupid question but I just don't want to get something that fits but doesn't work.

I have a 1.7k port and increasing with Wirestock that gets a few sales a month - had 0 sales in the past 3 weeks or so - totally dried up.

Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing a big drop in sales.
