I agree that Zoonar has little sales still, but I get about 2-3 sales a month (with over 7000 images online though). However, I like the attitude that is giving me 80% of each sale (which usually leads to over 10 Euro per sale with me, in the "Premium" price category) and therefore I will keep upload until they can improve their sales.

Categories are mostly used by buyers who are new to the stock market (believe me, I've asked over 10 stock agencies ;-) http://bit.ly/category ) and as microstock gets wider known the need for categories vanishes. That's why pro agencies like Getty, Corbis etc. don't have categories. They hand-pick the best images for "portfolios" which is a much more inspirational approach... Bye, Robert

I use it, but I don't know how to check how many people visit my my.fotolia-site and the downloads vary so much (due to week, seasonal holidays etc.) that I do not dare to link an increase or decrease to the use of my.fotolia.

Oh, and at @allyclark:
maybe you should wait to get the Silver-Status at istockphoto after about 300 more DLs and see, if that affect sales...

just stay away from Stockxpert for now . there's been a spanner in the works at StockXpert for quite a bit, and getting scarrier @Perseus: Sorry, English isn't my native language, so I am not sure if I understand what you are trying to say? What does spanner mean? My usual translation would be that of a tool for bolts, but that doesn't seem to fit... Bye, Robert

Don't ask me, ask Yuri. Since he doesn't earn money with the tool, I do understand that he sets different priorities...

Ps. Am I wrong? was there an option earlier where you could choose both? Its not anymore. I remember that too. I guess that some agencies didn't like to amount of traffic the tool sucked or didn't want to encourage "keyword theft" and "keyword spamming" or the idea that too many people use the same keywords over and over again. Who knows.

@ Phil:
The german keyword "Akt" can be best translated to "nude".
As for flower shots: I always ask my mom as well what flowers I took pictures of... :-)

Sorry Holgs, I have to disagree: If you translate "Akt" to its correct english Term "nude", "sex" or "sexy" you will find enough evidence that people DO look for it, for example: "Erotic" at place 48 at the Shutterstuck TOp 100 ( http://submit.shutterstock.com/top100kw.mhtml) "nude", "sex" and "sexy" highly searched for at Fotolia ( http://us.fotolia.com/Info/Tags/Searched) I DO agree that most of these searched won't led to sales as I mentioned in my article as well... @peep: Flowers are very popular with photo buyers, but even much more popular with amateur photographers who take a new camera out of the box and run to their garden or balcony to test it out. That might be the reason why flowers get rejected a lot. I know from some agencies that they have the policy: "We don't want your flower shots, but if you have incredribly good ones, we will take them anyway"...

Hello, I combined the data of seven different stock agencies to put together a list of the All Time Top 10 Stock Photography keywords. Guess what is No. 1? (Hint: No, it's not "Business" ) Have fun reading and using: http://tinyurl.com/djzx9xIt's an automatic translation from German, whoever prefers the original, it's here: http://tinyurl.com/dy7fk3Bye, Robert

Yes Rahul,
this sort of graphs should definitely by part of the LookStat-Site.
@PixelsAway: Thanks a lot for sharing these numbers. I will need a while as well to think through your post.
Thanks, Robert

You can't.
If it is important, I guess, you could mail an administrator.

I think it is basically a good idea.
It is just a matter of the details, how much does the service cost, what is included and the like...
Keep us informed, I would be interested.

As RT said: The secret is how to light the background. It needs more light than the subject to come out clear white...

Just for the record: You don't need to enter your postal address, a valid email adress is enough - and there are plenty of temporary ones. I've read your free report and it sounds true what you write. On the other hand: It sounds obvious as well. "You need a business plan" and "be an entrepreneur"... I've heard that so much, lost count a while ago...

BTW - Genious I think Istock does it intentionally so that people only upload their best stuff.. I never quite grasped the concept of a picture agency that puts bricks in the way of people who want to give them pictures.

Correct me if I am wriong, but if a buyer or another person corrects or disapproves of your keywords, you get a notification mail...

I use Photoshop CS3 for editing and keywording as well.
When you don't see your IPTC-data after uploading an image to istockphoto, there is a strange way to get them back: Visit an entry in the forum, go back to your upload and your keywords re-appear.
Don't ask me HOW it works, but it does. I read it somewhere in the IS forum.

Seems like the page is already down?
It that a new trend to assembly content from other sites, get traffic and then live from the advertisings?

Yes, I give my models a copy of the release, since it acts as a contract und usually both partys of a contract should have one.
