Adobe Stock / Re: Minimum Payment Commission Increase
« on: September 25, 2018, 01:23 »
Lev Dolgachov asked on my Facebook post about the minimum commissions for the diamond rank (>1.000.000 downloads).
These stay the same at 0,40$, according to Adobe member Kirsten Harris:
https://www.facebook.com/fotoproduzent/posts/10156713812442959?comment_id=10156714138687959&reply_comment_id=10156714155022959

However, so far only one contributor (Monkey Business) reached that ranking.

Adobe Stock / Re: New feature in Adobe Stock Contributor Portal
« on: September 24, 2018, 13:14 »
We listened to you that it was too difficult to see all the details in the thumbnail to determine which releases and/or keywords are necessary. The new feature to display the full image when you hover over it addresses this.

Finally! Many thanks, I requested this many times and it it indeed very helpful when attaching releases.

When I have doubts about the source of one of my images used (for example no credits given and other hints), I simply mail the site owner and ask for a proof of license. Sometimes I get a screenshot of an agency backend back with my sale (so all is fine), sometimes I get answers like (sorry, we found this image on Google). They get mail from my lawyer then, if they are based in a country where we can successfully file a case.

"End of march" has passed for two weeks and no announcement in sight. I guess they hope we all forget about the royalty cuts and move on...

Dear Getty,

Is kicking out one of your top producing photographers because he blew the whistle on you giving images away fair?

@jjneff: Which photographer and which event are you refering to?

This might be a good time to remind of the last royalty cut stunt that 123rf pulled of some years ago:

Depends on how they define "good news".
A royalty cut for photographers might be good news for 123rf since they get a bigger share.

I posted an article in my blog about this commission cut and took the information presented here to put a commission structure comparision into a table:
https://i0.wp.com/www.alltageinesfotoproduzenten.de/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/123rf-2017-royalty-structure-07-02-_2018_09-43-26.jpg

Your Contributor Level : 2   |   Past 12 Month License Points Total : 3752

So, even with 3752 I'm still level 2.

Sorry, I missed to adjust the credits, so that the missing levels are taken into account. I just updated the table, thanks for the notification.

Interestingly here on this official 123rf "contributor guide" pages, there is still the old commission structure:

I got over 200 of these requests by mail within the last three days.
This is getting more than annoying!

« on: November 09, 2017, 04:20 »
I also reverted back to the old editor this evening.

How do you do that?

63
Did you ask the Adobe Stock support staff?

64
Somebody suggested to me that the 4,1 Million might be a typo with one Zero too much, because on his peopleimages.com site he has around 390.000 images online, which would fit much better to 410.000 images produced until 2016.

65
Since stock images or footage will be sold almost worldwide, agencies seek to cover all their bases and are going far beyond US and EU legal restrictions just in case in some countries a specific use is forbidden...

123RF / Unusual high downloads (520 USD) at 123rf
« on: February 24, 2016, 02:04 »
Hello,

yesterday I received a single download (pay-as-you-go-licence, size S) for 520 USD.

Some other photographers reported similar high single downloads (480 USD, 540 USD, 271 USD).

It's a bit strange, because I opted out of all partner sales and ELs there.

Does anyone have more information about this?

I sent an email to 123rf, maybe they can provide more info...

Best regards,
Robert

Adobe Stock / Re: Hint for Keywording less heavy
« on: February 16, 2016, 04:11 »
If you use Adobe Bridge for keywording, the keyword order stays the same.

Besides Fotolia also Alamy and Panthermedia for example want to have keywords sorted by relevance.

General Stock Discussion / Re: Bulk Reverse Google Image Search
« on: December 16, 2015, 05:07 »
There are external (mostly paid) services that do that, for example plaghunter.com or pixray.com (they have their own image search image, but results are similar)

Software / Re: Lost Adobe Bridge panel to copy and paste metadata

You can download the scripts that you are looking for here:
http://www.alltageinesfotoproduzenten.de/2015/08/26/kostenlose-skripte-zur-bearbeitung-von-vielen-metadaten-in-adobe-bridge/

(blog post is in German, just use Google Translate, the scripts itself are in English).

How did you get $300 not paid? Usual threshold is around $50.

Easy: I requested payout for example several month ago, but the request simply has not been processed.

I am missing around 900 Euro payout that I requested in the beginning of 2015... :-(

73
I also list some other ways of opening money bills in Photoshop in my German blog article (you might need Google Translate):

General - Top Sites / Yuri Arcurs comments on Adobe Stock
« on: October 12, 2015, 06:27 »
After being quiet for quite a while, Yuri breaks his silence evaluating Adobe Stock:
http://arcurs.com/2015/10/a-closer-look-at-adobe-stock/

My favorite part is in the conclusion where he complains about the "mediocre" quality of images at Fotolia and Shutterstock. :-)

What are your thoughts?

Thanks to everyone for helping to shut down the site (at least for now)
