GLStock / Re: Sales anyone?
« on: April 04, 2013, 23:44 »
i remember reading some comments from the owner of GL here.. saying the google search images had greatly reduced traffic to their sites?

but I am not really understand is it related to the sales..

I always try to upload there if i remember..but sometimes got rejection like we don't need this files..and it seems there are some uploading limits also. It mess it up sometimes when i just ftp and didn't realize of the limits.

Anyway, it is a good sites with layout and interface..just ftp and rest it to them. I did have few extended license sale with them, that's mean the buyers are some honest guys out there!

Sales has dropped tremendously which I believe is due to new google image layout. I used to get a few sales once a while but these few months have beennn empty...........i think GL should concentrate on getting more traffic from other sources instead of Google.

hi, seems not. its still in "Unfinished Uploads" instead of the "my uploads". it still still in "progress" status in Deepmeta. These photos are actually uploaded using the website and keyworded using Deepmeta. Should I using Deepmeta for upload process too ?

« on: February 28, 2013, 21:26 »
Hi ,
I've decided to tried up Deepmeta. Everything seems alright with this software. I've completed a few photos and sent the relevant MR/info to istock with 0 errors. However all the of files seems to be in "process" status forever. Anything do I need to do before it goes "pending"  ?

thanks in advance.

I'm hoping that by reducing the referral system they can pay more out to contributors instead because they're the people that are actually doing the work and generating the content.

i wish of that but ironically, that isn't where the trend of microstock is going. we have 1 or 2 agencies having almost 85% of the market and making all the decisions for us. less profit for happy contributors ? no such things.

not good, a gentle reminder for you not to trust any agency too much.

Image Sleuth / Re: Image being used as fake testimonial
« on: November 10, 2012, 04:57 »
Thanks for the advices! especially from microius

this is a product that is running possibly a nationwide campaign of it's diet product on major pharmacies in a country. it's also included a lot of customer testimonials presumably fake. i think the exposure may cause a loss of confidence to the product. i have sent a message them directly with regards to the issue.

anyway i believe this photo was bought at shutterstock.

What is the best channel to deal against these act ? would filing a DCMA be possible ? or shall i just check with SS which i believe is futile

it seems k-tools is pretty technical and you need to have good  web knowledge to be able to manage it

Distrustful as I am of someone I don't know asking me for any personal info and pointing me to a rather vague website of a company I've never heard of, I googled 'airbnb scam' - just in case there was something to worry about here.  I found this (among other negative comments):

http://gawker.com/5827043/sleazy-airbnb-is-very-sorry-for-wrecking-your-apartment

Be cautious here, it sounds possible that you could end up with permission to photograph an apartment, only to find later that the person giving permission was not the owner.

I'm a bit puzzled also that you have a personal invitation out of the blue from these people, but anyone else who wants to participate has to do so by giving their information to you.

Oh ok now I see...I don't live any where near big cities so it wouldn't do me much good. I would think they would only advertise for popular travel destinations.

Well.. you can still try it out if you are interested,  perhaps there are people looking to rent out at your area.

I did and all I saw was discount travel packages and special's on lodging. No where did I see anything about photography.

Ah ok. yes it's lodging site where people can find accomondations throught the website. So Airbnb hires photographer to take photos of the listing.

I think Perry had a good solution for you to work together but keep your shoots separate. Today is my shoot, tomorrow is your shot. Or if you want to shoot together and take turns pressing the shutter button, share a single account.

exactly! wish you the best yuliang

Thanks for not bashing me. We are still in the midst of consolidations at near 12 am here

Thanks for jumping in here Achilles, it is very nice to hear both sides of the situation.

@Yuliang, I would agree with the others, I would accept Achilles generous offer.

I've gone through and agreed with Achilles. We are in the midst of reorganizing everything. which is including deleting 20% of our contents.
