Zymmetrical.com / Re: Is Zym actually sometimes usable ?
« on: March 17, 2009, 07:17 »
I do not know if the thread is appropriate for my question. I guess yes, since the thread is about usability and so is my question.

I uploaded several model releases. Now they are displayed as ID#xyz. Should I guess the correct model release to attach it to a photo? Should I attach all of them just in case? Why is model release management module missing?

My verdict: the site's usability is very shallow.

P.S. Zymmetrical inspectors reject pictures that are being sold very well in other agencies. Rejection reason is something like "The lighting and composition of this image limit its stock value." I can conclude that those inspectors have no idea on stock value  >:(

P.P.S. Honestly, I try to love the site and its conceptual model, but I always fail. Too many inconsitencies

zymmetrical, WOW  :o
I will contact support soon. Thank you very much!

If you could outline the major preferences of Zymm-buyers in this topic, it would be very usefull for all of us. Probably, the content I submit is not really needed  :-\

« on: November 05, 2008, 04:07 »
Josh, could you check my last batvches as well? Really, right now I fill myself as a piece of crap: today 50 of 60 files of mine were rejected because of totally idiotic rejections! Every other agency, including iStock and Shutterstock, has accepted those files and sells them. I just don't accept such a disrespectful attitude! It's absurd!

I have 2 sales at MostPhotos  ;D I am happy  :D

Nice news, I am subscribed for updates on lessons by Yuri.

i don't understand sceptic grinding like: "There is a contradiction", "next to Sean", etc... If I were able to create such nice pictures with HIGH commercial value, I would be happy to be even the last among other photographers. And you?

Dreamstime people dislike to receive complains about their agency by means of their forum. It's better to communicate them via e-mail (contact form) VERY politely. In this way, the problems will be resolved much faster.

About rude response: they are Romanians. Romania is not so nice and advanced as the rest of Europe. This country was supressed dy a violent dictator for a long time. Keep it in mind.

Zymmetrical.com / Re: New Submissions Page
« on: September 08, 2008, 04:00 »
Here is the error (see attachment). In Italian, sorry  8)

After that the page shows typical IE message: "Internet Explorer: impossibile visualizzare la pagina Web".

I suppose, the submission page is very overloaded by different features that conflict among them. I suggest to concentrate more on simpler interface. Otherwise, this agency will join LuckOliver  :-X

Today I have received a rejection of 14 out of 16 pics. And the notification letter contained a text: "Good images. Keep uploading!". It is a mockery!!! They jeer at us!!! >:(

zymmetrical, thank you for explanation. However, falsh-upload is a real mess. Today, I have uploaded some pictures but they haven't appeared in Describe section all toghether. They appear one after one: as soon as I send one appeared pic to pending queue, I have to reload page for "fishing" other upcoming pictures.

IE sometimes often fails to open http://www.zymmetrical.com/account/submissions/:-\

Totally stupid and unprofessional rejections with the reason "Out of focus".

I sent a very kind letter asking to review again two images (of an enormous pack of rejected ones). No response. (So, Josh, please, don't sing beautiful, but false, songs about help desk!!!). The forum is closed from February. Totally stupid and unprofessional attitude to contributors.  >:(

Zymmetrical.com / Re: Zymm rejections

One of my bestsellers is rejected with the reason "The lighting and composition of this image limit its stock value." The subject of the picture is a set of bottles of sparkling wine "Ferrari" during fermentation period. In other words, the cellar with bottles should be in complete darkness. I did my best to show the real production of Ferrari sparkling wine. Trust me, the light on the picture is perfectly correct. The composition is just amazing. The image is being sold everywhere  ::)

Another funny rejection: "We cannot accept images with artwork as the main element/subject without a property release." Try to guess the subject of the image. Public statue in public place. The artist, Auguste Rodin mentioned in description for the picture, died in 1917. Is property release still required? I'm affraid its impossible even if the answer is "Yes".

Zymmetrical.com / Re: New Submissions Page
« on: August 25, 2008, 16:25 »
Very slow and confusing realization. Right panel with pictures is ugly.

Why have categories been introduced? What happens if I don't select category or price? May I select 100$ as price? What will happen?

I do not want to spend my time to select categories and prices on such a slow site.

BTW, I have some notes on Art Manager. Why have "Edit tags" links disappeared? When I move mouse over picture code (e.g., ZYIMGOBI00580) the whole structure of the page jumps because of font size enlargement. It's really irritating. I would suggest to change color of label, but not its font size.

P.S. Login page is extreeeeeeeeeemly slow. What hapens during logging  ???

Zymmetrical.com / Re: Sooooo slow!
« on: June 30, 2008, 01:04 »
Improperly slow site. Zymmguys, I do not care about your flash uploader since I upload directly by FTP. Please do not bind colorful and useless features. You should better concentrate on pictures review and buyer bringing in.

Another question: is it normal for files to be more than 5 month on FTP without review  ???

This site becomes really annoying.

Well, I guess, Zymmetrical inspectors decided just reject images without any explanations. It may be fine to thin out a pending queue, but it's completely disrespectful to contributors  >:(
