Sean was inspired to upload to SS while listening to Romeo Void?

Wow, hat's a blast from the past! I used to love that song! I had to go to YouTube to listen to it again.

For those of you that have never heard it, or just want to hear it again, here you go:

Done! Thanks for providing instructions for those of us that are already subscribed. I was a bit confused until I read that post!  ;D

Congrats!

It's fun when that happens. I had one of my stock images used on his show in the "He Said, She Said" segment. One of the models saw it and was SUPER excited. LOL

Sorry, my mistake. I took the post to mean $100 from all agencies together.

Even with 8000+ files on DepositPhotos, 6000+on Fotolia I can't make more than 100$ per month.

No offense, but my (not very impressive) portfolio of around 1,500 photos generates more than that and I haven't uploaded anything new in over 16 months.

I haven't seen your portfolio, but you may want to choose different subjects for your photos.

I had no problem carrying my GoPro on my MUCH-cheaper Parrot AR Drone before I crashed it.  :-[

I bought the Drone for about $250 where the DJI Phantom is $500 and up.

That reminds me that I really should repair my Drone and get it back in the air!

I have to say, "Wow!" as well. Fantastic work! Your site works just fine on Windows in Firefox, Chrome, and Opera.

^^ Thanks for the info, that's good to know!!

In regards to a filter on the front.  I just use the lens hood.  If you are paying that much for a lens, why wreck it with a cheap (or expensive) filter. [...]  You need some pretty bad scratching before it will affect the photo as well.  Stick a small piece from a post it note on your lens and see how much you notice it?  Now do you think you'll see the effects of a tiny scratch?

Is it just me or are those 2 statements kind of contradictory?  :D

General Stock Discussion / Re: Is It Worth It?

I don't mind the camera shake. I feel like it adds a certain amount of realism. However, it would be nice to have some with and some without. I can see a market for this selling to indie film-makers looking for footage that they have no way to shoot. You might want to stop in at the Planet5D forum as well as offering to write a blog post about the footage for videomaker.com. You could also post on the forums at videomaker.

^^ VERY jealous!!  ;D

Here are mine:

  • Enjoy whatever money comes from microstock without uploading
  • Do my best to make my wife the happiest lady on earth

I believe that I read somewhere (but I seem to make a habit of being wrong!) that the new 3D TVs use polarization.

I didn't realize so many of us here had college age kids.  The empty nest thing is tough, for sure.  I seem to have turned into the weird lady who treats her dog like she's a child.  ;D

I'm just glad that my son is old enough to:
  • Have a job so that he can loan ME money for a change  ;)
  • Pursue his enjoyment of photography

It's nice that he likes to help out whenever he can. He is polite, funny, and intelligent and I constantly marvel that I somehow managed to produce a worthwhile human being without the slightest clue of what I was doing!

142
Lisa, I'm glad that you're not starting the new year with a new baby. They're a lot of work! Like you, my son is 20 years old and that makes me very happy!   ;D

I'm actually not even on Facebook, but do use quite a few Google products. I ran across that video the other day and just though that I'd found the perfect place to share it.

Dreamstime certainly won't get any of my videos, either.

My daughter. :)

I went into labor on Christmas day over 4 weeks early.

Congrats!!

146
Very nice! Anyone else? It doesn't have to be photo/video related.

147
I thought that it would be fun to see what other people received for Christmas that they absolutely LOVED! While I'm thankful for my health and the love of my family, I'm particularly excited to have received a CineMoco Dolly!

What's your favorite present?

CineMoco

I'm glad that Santa was good to you!

Well, I've got it.
All okay. Any lens aberration, distortion, etc. is corrected in Lightroom.
Great camera!
Thank you Santa!!

Thank you for your answers.

Strangely enough, yesterday I saw more action than normal on DT.
