I assume the dispute with Axel Springer is over 5.1(i) - I looked online for information about this lawsuit but didn't find anything. Not sure how an editorial image could infringe a copyright or other IP - did the original email say anything about the details of the dispute?
It's all very strange and ominous. The court judgement was made here in Germany. Here, too, I was unable to find a corresponding judgment via legal databases.

Thanks, Pete. That was my impression as well, though I question how one can determine the exact costs for the defense in advance and know that Michael, for example, now has to pay 11.43 pounds. Yes, it seems to be something "personal". Other international and German Stock-agencies are apparently allowed to continue using the logo and cover pages in the collection.

I understand this bulky text to mean that Alamy wants to defend itself against the injunction.
Depending on how I read the text, the sum mentioned here then relates either to
a) the costs for the preliminary injunction as requested or
b) the costs for the coming defense against the preliminary injunction.
From my point of view, it is completely unclear whether further unknown costs will be incurred by those affected if the action is lost.
Perhaps native English speakers can clarify this.

I am 100% behind Ukraine in its struggle to repel the unprovoked russian invasion.
I have donated my own money to Ukrainian causes, and I believe that all democratic countries, including the US, must do more to support Ukraine's attempt to recover its lost territories, including Crimea.
But Ukraine doesn't have to use propaganda to gather this support. It is counterproductive. The truth is enough.
As for these fake quotes, you can always post them as your personal opinion. I can definitely understand the anger, but please don't lie that they belong to those russian writers.
zero, where do you get your patience and above all your objectivity from?  As you rightly said, this guy is constantly standing here with his pants down, embarrassing himself and doing Ukraine a great disservice. At no point does he show any understanding or admitted a mistake, when things get tight, he gets insulting or personal. For over a hundred pages I've only seen asocial behavior here, incapable of having a discussion at eye level. Because I'm increasingly losing my own netiquette and objectivity in the face of all this nonsense and gutter language, which is in no way expedient, I've put the guy on "ignore" and left the discussion with him personally. But thank you for your research and comments, which make it worthwhile to keep checking the thread.

If the system works as I understand how it should work... you should have gotten nothing?
So this means either the checkbox is doing nothing, and your content is used for AI training, or they have a serious issue in contributor fund distribution.
Or maybe the checkbox only works for content uploaded after you changed the setting. (because before there was no choice)

As you can see from the new review times of 7 - 10 days. No Explanation. I would also assume that the images will continue to be used before the checkbox is clicked. At least that corresponds to the amount I have already received last year. I rejected the "data licensing" primarily because rejected images were included in the "data catalog" and could therefore no longer be resubmitted (because they had already been accepted) and were therefore completely lost for sale on Shutterstock. But that didn't change anything. Rejected images are now labeled as "Eligible for data licensing" and cannot be resubmitted either because they have supposedly already been accepted. I hope that I have been able to make this more or less clear.

I think the EU countries are interested in panic in Ukraine and want to keep for yourself more Ukrainians.
As for France, people there dont know English and dont want to learn it. The French are also very arrogant. Probably those who know French go there. In Ukraine, French is not popular in schools.

Entire batch of different images rejected due to allegedly AI-generated images or illustration designations. Both of which are wrong.
Commercial images are still on hold. Something seems to be going very wrong at the moment.
