done. BTW it seems the issue with 0 views for new images is still not solved at StockXpert. So it's probably not worth uploading anything new for the time being...

In the last months Fotolia rejects 25-30% of my submissions. It is indeed higher than most other sites but I don't see it a big problem, especially upload is easy and sales isn't bad. This is my BME at Fotolia and Fotolia earnings take 3rd place this month (usually it was 4th or even 5th).

Can I vote twice? I use both a Canon DSLR and a compact.   ;D

Regards,
Adelaide

Oh, and I have 2 Canon DSLRs and one Canon compact, so can I vote 3 times then ? :)

General Stock Discussion / Re: Lifetime Microstock Goals
« on: March 30, 2009, 08:36 »
I don't have a life time goal and I doubt I will ever have. I like photographing, so why should I ever stop even if I achieve the goal?

I do have some goals, but they keep changing - raise my portfolio to 1000 pics, then to 5000 pics; get at least 1/4 of my income from photography etc.

One thing I know about myself (and that's a great motivation) is that there is a clear dependency of my sales on my efforts. The more I upload the more my sales grow.
My portfolio is above 1000 pics (in least on key sites); and I once again proved my own statement about efforts - I was able to produce more pictures per months in the last 3 months; and February was my BME, and now March beaten it!

So my next  (current) goal it to keep the growth. And I still don't have a long term goals :)

was no issue earlier today but got the same now. You can still get through though if you make security exception in your browser.

Cameras / Lenses / Re: Pentax 645

from the photos it appears that the new camera doesn't have a detachable back, just "openable" (for sensor cleaning I suppose)

I saw it announced in "news" in some paper magazines already 3 yrs ago... and it still didn't see the light till now. Is it truly coming out now? Not sure...

And I seriously doubt about the market for that camera. I am afraid they missed the train - but that will still depend on performance and price.

yeah I also wanted to comment on RPI immediately too, but I thought this topic is about Bruce so I didn't :)

For me the RPI from iStock is definitely not the top one. Sometimes it's the second (with a large gap), more often it's the 3rd or even the 4th place.

regardless the real reasons it is indeed a very big news for microstok

yeah indeed thanks for posting that. I noticed more and more posts recently pointing to vimeo instead of youtube, but with that discovery we need to be cautious!

414
How is it with youtube? Anybody checked yet?

« on: March 19, 2009, 15:07 »
3 of a large bucket wheel excavator from different angles; and one of an oil distillery, all on the 16th. So it's really industrial, not agriculture or something :)

That kind:

I don't think they really need an EL for a book though... anyway, interesting what is it all about :)

Sure hope a couple of the Big 6 sites make note of Ellen's observation.  I have the worst time getting anything even slightly creative online at those sites, while a couple of other sites gobble them up.
same for me - and one of the 2 was the most welcome for creative pictures in not so distant past (~2 yrs ago).

I wonder if it's the same 2 for me as it is for you ;)

8 actively, a few more - when have time.
Also have account on several non-earners but don't spend any time on them.

This is looking very strange. Why did so many people have EL sales yesterday? (March 16)  I had two, different photos but the same subject (industrial equipment). It seems too many people had the same thing happen on the same day to make it coincidence.

Any theories? New big, EL-only buyer subscribed? Buyer doing a big project? Hmm....
yep for me too industrial theme

I hardly got any EL in the previous 6-8 months, but I got a few in February; and I got a few just yesterday.

OD is not too bad for me, but not spectacular, and quite steady in the last few months.

DT is very picky <...>
No-o-o. Lately they accept almost everything. The only better one is StockXpert. IS, SS, even BigStock reject more than DT!

Indeed I am talking about my personal experience.
