what are you talking about?  ???

normally they pay via wire transfer (inside Russia) but they can pay with PayPal to those living abroad.

You can start uploading your pictures after registration; but your pictures will not appear on sale until the signed contract will be received by Lori.

yes your account appear locked - you better get in touch with their support.

What is the royalty percentage?

between 30% and 50% depending on image size and price. Cheap small images for web give 30%, bigger 40%, most expensive 50%:

If you have a large portfolio you can submit it via CD/DVD and they'll make the keywords/categories work for you. Just write them email.

Another option is you could try with Google translator (and no you don't have to translate the keywords, they'll do it for you is you have them in IPTC in English).

Very un-even one month to another (because the amount of sale varies from around $.3 to around $100 and the number of sales isn't very high).

The total of 2010 for me was above bigstock and 123rf but seriously below Dreamstime.
The total of 2011 so far is almost equal to DT (i.e. much higher than BS or 123rf)

I submit there for a few years and I know the owners of the site personally.

The site isn't a pure microstock - it is more an RM-type with prices ranging from microstock to macro depending on the usage and resolution (though they don't require exclusivity so it's not a pure RM but may be a variety of various ELs for different use).

They sell moderately well. Their main focus is Russian-specific content; but traditional microstock lifestyle pictures sell too - Yuri Arcurs is an example.

Thank you Linda and Bjorn! Hope will get that feature soon :)

Dreamstime.com / Re: New review time record - 6.5 hours today

I didn't notice the hours but also experienced less than 1 day review for images uploaded yesterday. But the previous upload took several days to get inspected.

Yaymicro / attaching releases to multiple photos
« on: April 06, 2011, 07:52 »
I wonder if yaymicro could make it possible to attach model release to multiple images at once. It is very annoying to click images from the same session one by one to attach the same releases.

86
I took care about that a while ago - my own universal release speaks about photo, video, and other possible future types of media :)

Veer / Re: Veer Reseller API

they are reviewing several batches at once... I was uploading a batch every week, and yesterday they approved them all, except the very last one.

I can find my pictures on snapfish, but it only shows 315 of them while I have many more on Veer. Where are they lost?

Hot-shoe flash directed to a ceiling or walls can actually be sufficient for the shots like that one. It will not produce a nice creative lighting but it can give enough light, and it will be diffused. But that will not work well if the walls have a strong color cast.

To give you an example, this picture was made with the window light plus one flash directed at the ceiling:

I continue to see lower income despite working even harder.
For me it's the opposite. Every time I start working harder my income starts growing and that keeps me motivated.

123RF / Re: Nothing happens
« on: March 11, 2011, 03:49 »
certainly not my bestseller but certainly is alive. Review time is longer than it used to be last year (around 2 weeks) and the sales are modest, but it works.

93
it is indeed very annoying

General Macrostock / Re: What is No.3 MacroStock?
« on: March 08, 2011, 09:55 »
^^^ There are certainly other industries with two leading companies. How about PC CPUs? Or PC GPUs?

Coca-Cola and Pepsi ?
Boeing and Airbus ?
P&G and Unilever
... etc

and there are even industries with a single leader, e.g. Walmart

(that is a useful reference: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_companies_by_revenue)

New Sites - General / Re: Earnings on Zoonar
« on: March 08, 2011, 08:50 »
That was a special deal they made (and obviously Deutsche Telekom was the buyer). You should have gotten an e-mail in advance indicating what picture they intend to buy and for what usage, and you had to agree.
That's how it worked for me. It's been a while ago that they asked, and now the deal seems to have settled.
could be, don't remember.

I wonder if anyone is having sales at Zoonar. I had some Polylooks sales in the past, and I've got one Telecom sale, but I am not getting anything else than that. 0 sales of Zoonar itself, or any other partner.

I wonder who is the partner "TELEKOM_1000_#001" as it doesn't look like the one in the list?
I just got a decent 20Eur sale in March attributed to that partner - interesting to know what it is.

yep showing blank page to me too.

It has nothing to do with istock if you look at "Who is" information:

The boring submission process with tons of ticks and checkboxes still a pain!
but it can be done in batches now

Being 4 years with Alamy I didn't have any rejection at all.

However when I was starting with them I was careful and only uploaded small batches - so yes if you are just starting you better do it slowly.
