6 million of good stuff would be much better option (for everyone in business), than 60 million with most of it being crap. but things are as they are, and not as it would be good to be...

I was contacted by your agency some year and half ago. Communication was not really at the level i do expect, so, i did not upload any of my content. Frankly speaking, i forgot about your agency. Some month ago, i contacted you - i still had no answer from you. Anyhow, i considered that i might upload some content at your site as well. in simple words - with this policy, (and 30% commission for me), i would NOT upload content at your site, having in mind that i have for example 33$ commision from videoblocks, or 24.5 on pond5. and as i can see your intention is NOT to match for example ss's 79$ price, but - vb. 49, or pond5's price. from the other hand - pond5 is doing all the business strategy / payments etc... as any other agency - and they are somehow sustainable with 50%, and you are trying to ripoff contributors (with 70% for you). from my point of view - you are doing something wrong. -if agency a) can work with fair 50/50 strategy - than any other agency can do it as well. but, that, as we know depends of greedy-index of agency. so i see it as a greed-driven business move, without healthy (own) business strategy.

as i remember it IS allowed to have different contributor accounts - as an author, and as corporate-account holder. also, if i remember correctly - if you do so - you are NOT allowed to be author of any single file on your corporate account. so, if you have small company, with hired people working for the company - it is allowed that company to have it's own account. at least - it was few years ago.
is it etical/moral e.t.c.? - for me - it is.
BUT - i think you should ask contributor relations, and explain yur question. i can speak for myself of course - but whenever i asked contributor support any kind of question, that i was not sure about - i always had helpful answer, and in reasonable time. with no exception.
so - ask support, i think it is the best way to go.

Why do you think they haven't been talking to contributors?
contributor is not = contributor s

it is considered as "very" busines for me - -30% for all downloads made from us customers. (and it's unconstitutional - according to the us laws for example... -but, as a foreigner, it's more "take it or leave it" for me (and the others)). but - it's business. it's not hobby if you are making money out of it.

Poor baby photographer is being sued .
.......
I spend lot of time to explain to every single model all the aspects of image use, AND ALSO despite all of this - potential misuse. yes, i don't forget to say that one of bad misusing scenarios is for example to have images at porn sites. in the same way as it is possible with photos on social media for example, regarding the fact that microstock is quite clear - no porn. what is your proposal for me in this potential scenario? is it " poor li'l me? " would i be innocent in your opinion? where did i make mistake? what else should i do? can i have your sugesstion? of course, except "cabbage/carrot" suggestion.

what i like on all the "exciting news" - which in general are about additional screwing and squeezing us - the contributors (you know - if there is not our content - no business at all, if there is no agencies - business somehow will run as it was before agencies, right?)(just pointing what is "essential" and what is not in business - essential is - our content) ... - is the speed in which - i call these people "little dogs" (you know - poltroon, / sponger... people) overwhelm these threads with "what a big (smart, good, very good, excellent ... ) business move, ... THANK YOU (xyz agency)". i guess hoping that somehow management is going to notice that kind of messages, and these people are going to get some small gain for themselves. here where i live, we say "i have to go to bathroom" (to do "big" job, (or to vomit))...

not all the exclusive IS authors post on forums -both on is forum or on this forum. so, posts on forums regarding sales -at any microstock site's forum - or independent forum - as this one is - can be very very misleading. i am not making vectors for microstock, so i can not give you direct advice. - i really do not have clue how vectors are performing on is, or on other sites.

i use(d) sensor film for cleaning canon and nikon cameras. never had any kind of problem. results from the other side are not comparable with results from authorized service's cleaning. (in favor of sensor film).

the best way to check is to ask someone who is buyer on microstock sites. - q: did you ever use term "beautiful" in search, and what was occasion? i am sure that files with word beautiful are not in any favor against files without that term. from the other way, - rare of us DO use term "ugly" - so if you want no-ugly woman for example - just type: woman, NO ugly -o.k. no-ugly still is not beautiful, i guess - but is something.

do anyone know why payoneer charge $2 for standard loading when founds are received from P5 (and $5 for instant loading), on the SAME card that some of us use with other sites- istockphoto for example - and there is charge $0 for standard and $3 for instant loading. -the same account, the same card, the same service, but different charges (higher for pond5). why? and yes - taking small fee even WITHOUT correct pin on atm is robbery, and exchange rates are horrible as well.

I think that all of you fellows should REALLY START TO DELETE your images starting on deadline date.
So right order of acting should eventually be - fotolia to ask every single one of you manually - would you EVENTUALLY be interested to participate in that mess.
I am quite sure that things would be settled down in hours in that scenario.

It is rejected due to: Poor Lighting--Image has exposure issues and/or incorrect white balance. What am i not seeing? Help appreciated! ....
Hi What i think that you do not see (because it is not written), is not actually about exposure/wb issues, it is about commercial usability of your photo. I guess their real rejection reason would be "not commercial" - but in my experience, and discussion with reviewer from one of ss competitor agencies is that they actually avoid to put this reason - because it's opening a lot of debate - because ANY image -accepted or rejected - have some similars both - in accepted or rejected images. -and with this rejection reason - it is possible to start (useless) arguing "why this one mine is not commercial and this one.... is and is online..". My 2c. cheers

let's put things this way: in ASA there is nowhere stated that you have to shoot exclusively for istock, but in my understanding it is said that istock is your (only) rf online distributor. so, if you do shoot today something and send content to istock, and tomorrow you shoot the same set and SEND these images to other agencies, this is clear breaking of ASA - by yourself - and when they notice this, or when someone report you - this will end up with closing of your account on istock, probably forever. so, if you are exclusive artist on istock, typing "i agree" you obligated yourself to have istock as the only distributor of your online RF content. in short words - if you want to have your is. account - do not do this

Hi!
$ has been losing recently to EURO and other European currencies. A question to fellow European contributors - How do you handle this problem? Do you exchange your dollars on Paypal as soon as a payment arrives, or do you wait for better times to make an exchange (then your are not only a stock photographer but also a broker ! ) ?
Not to mention that Paypal steals takes 2,5% from the currency exchange....

First look at Stocksy...
It is exciting to see a co-op finally come to market, but otherwise, it's a little disappointing.
-- It looks cliquey, a bunch of friends getting together, and compromising their editorial standards in the process. Editing is weak, too many similars, and uneven standards of acceptance. I would reject more than 50% of what's there if I were one of their inspectors.
why? i spent more than half hour last night browsing images randomly, i found less than 10 that if was mine, i would delete while still on CF card . on other sites if i take a look on "newest", i believe that percentage would (should) be even more than 50%

well i wish them all the luck. regarding the fact that they are now direct competition for some (all?) of us. competition is the only thing in this greedy world that can force things to change. (or die ).

My advice would be to do what you love to do until the rest of your live. And of course to sleep at night hours (if you feel sleapy, of course).
