Hi Globus,

I have just tried your application and I must say I like it very much. I have only one teeny little problem - after the last payment at Fotolia the total earning does not show properly any more. In the application I can see about 2 USD more than I really earned.
Another thing is that with some agencies the total earning is not really "total" but shows the subtotal earning after the last payment. With other agencies it is really TOTAL - you might want to correct it.
Thank you very much for such a useful application - it seems really to save me a lot of time.
Have a nice time...
 :)

True. And another good thing is you are able to download your WHOLE port in one big ZIP file from MoPho.

I also suspect that is what is happening.  I have a good acceptance rate there and my files are almost always  approved within a day.Or possibly even based on ranking.  I don't know if it's policy there or if the reviewers choose which batch they want and it is quicker to review files without many mistakes.

Arrrr,  So if we've got a low acceptance rate the review times go up you mean?

That sounds fair to me..

Steve, can you confirm that?

Well, I do not know. They have accepted about 90 per cent of what I sent them. But e.g. last week I sent two images which were accepted almost immediately - within a few hours. And the batch before those two (about two dozens) seemed to have taken ages... I suspect that the larger batch I send, the longer it takes to get through the reviewers.

204
Peep = I am doing well on 123RF and they also act as a back-up for my images.  Of course they are only backing up those that are accepted.  ???

Anyway - I not only check my ratings to see who gave me the low "4" (or less); I click on their name that show up as a rater to see their images.  Then I give them a large number of fours (or less)!  Get them before he can block you.   ::)

I am thinking about deleting all my images and closing out my acount.  Doesn't seem worth the time.

Why, you might be right. Since 123 accept almost anything I send them and they do NOT have that stupid rating thing I may as well use THEM for back-up instead of stupid MoPho. And in addition, they are a moderate seller for me...

205
BTW I hate their stupid rating system too. The gits from the so called "Hall of Fame" damaged a lot of my images by very low rating (even the best sellers at SS, DT and IS) - obviously for fear that my pics could be rated better than theirs... I just ignore it now and do not look at my profile page at all any more.
I do not believe in sales at MoPh, but I use the page as my BackUp - I have uploaded there my whole port. In case something happened to my computers, I could download my pictures from there. . .

Try Control panel - Account option - Delete account (at the very bottom of the page)

Well, this IS strange.... One must wait a few days (so must I BTW.) and another is supposed to wait just a few hours? At the same time? Either somebody is boasting and making up the very short times... or it is a clear example of favouritism. I do not know which one I would prefer...

I have just been sent the same message. But the whole situation seems to be slightly different here. They rejected only 3 out of 6... :-)
I really do not know why I work with them. Only about six sales... But in fact I use them to select images I will send to istock. Because they are so picky, the images which will get past their reviewers are rarely rejected at istock...

trouble is, Because they are so picky,, many that they reject would be accepted by IS and SS

Well, I know about SS - they accept about 90% of what I submit, but I am in doubt about IS - they accept very little of my pictures. I usually first submit to SS, the accepted images are submitted to DT then. Images accepted at both SS and DT are uploaded to CRST and finally those accepted at all three agencies I send to IS.

Yeah i  heard that too its true!
I found a way around it tho', i own their system!
Heres a tip to you guys.. http://zapatopi.net/afdb/build.html
I mean, laugh all you want, but try it first it works!

Also I hear that ALL the companies are hiring people just to browse through forums and newsgroups and hack mails to see who is badmouthing the agencies.. and teach them a lesson... ouch...

THE BIG BROTHER is so evil :/

exactly for this reason I use the stupid nickname here instead of my usual business name I use on all pages...
I may be a bit paranoid but I am not going to take the risk :-)

Well, not exactly... You are to send two new photographs instead of the ones they did not approve. But beware - you have just about 3 attempts to pass their test. Or at least it was so when I did the entrance test...
So may good fortune be yours :-) I hope you will pass for the second time...

I have been unable to upload anything for about two days. Is this a problem my end or are more of you experiencing that? ???

As time goes on you'll find that buyers will search through your portfolios and that you'll get regular buyers who revisit you, you don't need to have 10k images for that to happen, although I'd imagine it happens to Yuri more than most because of the way he markets himself.

You'll get emails from buyers, and on places that show the keywords used to buy your images occassionally you'll see that your username was the keyword used.

BTW: I did not know your username could be used as a keyword... Is it really possible?

I will happily second this. I own this macro and I am very satisfied. I use it for many stock photos incl. portraits, macros, still-life, ... It is very sharp and reliable.

Such an aplication would certainly be useful for me! It would save me a lot of time. I cannot help checking the sites every few hours...
When will it be possible to try?
Nice day to you.

I think that stupid editor thought RAW to be type of the file instead of "raw" in common language...

Well, this is the pseudoreason which I really hate. They are trying to tell you they have too many similar images to yours. E.g. too many sunrises, flowers, drops etc...
I personally cannot see why . they could not have more...

218
You seem to have earned too much money ;D ! They suspect that you do not use MB only for personal purposes, but as a business account (and they are not very much mistaken, are they?).
The type of account you have had so far is not supposed to be used for business. So they want you to change it. On the bad side - the business account is not free of charge.

I upload both sets and single photos. Both work for me... You might want to contact their support.

Well, try three or four at a time. Five do not work for me either. But I am usually able to upload as many as four pictures at a time. I suspect it has something to do with the size of the pictures.
I wish they would start FTP though!

« on: April 03, 2008, 04:58 »
Surprising point madelaide! Is there anybody here able to judge it? Otherwise I would have to shoot  series of pictures with different settings and try to work it out for myself over a free weekend. The only problem in this solution is I have had NO free weekends recently! >:(

222
Exactly I do not think it is OK since I hate BigBrothers... But they DO want some ID. Otherwise you would not be able to cash your credits. But I do not mind that much in their case. Anyway - they are not the only ones. I had to upload my photo ID both to IS and to SS as well.

223
I think you may cash less than 50, but they would take some fee in that case. I think you may cash anything more than 2 USD, but with a charge.

So am I correct in understanding that camera settings of saturation etc do NOT affect the picture in RAW format. Or am I missing something?

Excuse my ignorance, but is there any point in increasing saturation and contrast in the camera settings when I shoot in RAW format and do the postprocessing then? Would it affect the picture in any way?
