Print on Demand Forum / Re: Any experience with Zazzle?
« on: January 03, 2011, 15:24 »
I have a Zazzle account for a couple of years, but only started creating articles in January 2010 after some friends reported sales and I had a couple of sales with only a few products. As my store is getting lager, my income is getting better there too. Zazzle has spikes around holidays like Valentines Day, East, Mothers day, Fathers day, Halloween, and Christmas. November and December are the best month with a big spike in November. I have an account with CafePress too, but I only work now with my Zazzle store, because I find CafePress more time consuming and I don't link to have a fee that I have to pay.

Here is a link to my Zazzle store http://www.zazzle.com/hlehnerer

The income is still behind Shutterstock for me, but if it increases from month to month like last year, then Zazzle will be my best earner pretty soon.

This is my stock photography sales statistic for December 2010. You can find a complete list of stock photography agencies that I work with here.

These are for me the best 4 performing stock agencies for December 2010:

   1. Shutterstock
   2. iStockPhoto
   3. Fotolia
   4. Can Stock Photo

Surprisingly the income remained constant in December compared to November. I expected to have a big decline in December, the same as the years before.

2010 was a good year for me. The income in 2010 climbed by 60% compared to 2009. This was way above my hopes. My goal for 2011 is to achieve a gain of 20%.

It was for none of the agencies the best month in December, but it was a good month for Shutterstock, Zazzle, iStockPhoto, Can Stock Photo.

The 4 best agencies for me were this month:

1. Shutterstock
2. iStockPhoto
3. Fotolia
4. Dreamstime

Overall it was much lower the last month. I update and sorted my list of agencies at

I reach about 2-3 payouts per year there. Sales for October are a little bit up compared to September, but nothing to brag about. And then I have about 2-3 month per year where there is a spike in sales.

Huh! And I thought it was just me. At least I am not alone in this boat.

Who do you partner with, because I found some of my images at your site?

Also when looking at the "zoomed view - View image at 1000px", then there is not much of a watermark!

It is possible to opt out. The setting can be found in the Settings → Site → Subscription plans.

may i know your sales are mostly photos, illustrations or footage?

i had done some search of photos and illustrations.. isn't that impressive.

I have a little over 500 online with them, and usually a couple of sales each month. So they are a low earner, but at least the do produce sales.

I would say it is about 50% photos 50% illustrations.

This is my stock photography sales statistic for September 2010. You can find a complete list of stock photography agencies that I work with here.

These are for me the best 4 performing stock agencies for September 2010:

1. Shutterstock
2. Fotolia
3. Can Stock Photo
4. iStockPhoto

Looks like the summer hole has ended. September had an increase of 39% compared to last month. Sepember was the best month ever for iStockPhoto, Can Stock Photo, and Zoonar.

123RF / Re: How's this site in earnings?
« on: September 21, 2010, 11:00 »
123rf is for me a low to medium earner. If you already submitting to Shutterstock, Dreamstime, Fotolia, iStockphoto, and BigStock, then 123rf should be on the short list for possible agencies you like add. Others on this list would be Veer, GraphicLeftover, CanStockPhoto and maybe DepositPhotos.

I receive the email of payment to my paypal account from Veer yesterday too, but when looking at my paypal account the money has not shown up there. Is this normal? Is there a delay?

This is my stock photography sales statistic for July 2010. You can find a complete list of stock photography agencies that I work with here.

These are for me the best 4 performing stock agencies for July 2010:

   1. Shutterstock
   2. 123rf
   3. Fotolia
   4. Zazzle

July was my 2nd best month of all time with an increase of 111% compared to June. June was the best month ever for  Shutterstock, 123rf, PantherMedia, ClipArtOf, Zoonar, and Zazzle.

246
I had three sales last year in April and two in May this year. I stopped submitting to them last year in October. I did upload 5 image this month just to see if anything had change on the website.

Off Topic / Re: Google Analytics not counting all views
« on: July 08, 2010, 10:44 »
I had a view sales in the beginning of the year. Because of this I started to upload/create items again with Zazzle. I still have only a small amount of my images there, because it really takes some time to create the items. Except last month with no sales, I can see an increase of sales. For me it is mostly business cards and gift card that sell. I have to spend more time to create more items. It looks like to me that is has the potential to be a very good earner.

249
As far as I know, they do not accept any new contributors in the moment. But they will again in the future. Just keep checking. It is a very good agency.

This is my stock photography sales statistic for June 2010. You can find a complete  list of stock photography agencies that I work with  here.

These are for me the best 4 performing stock agencies for June 2010:

   1. Shutterstock
   2. Fotolia
   3. ClipArtOf
   4. Dreamstime

June was a good month, but with small decrease of 11% compared to May (beginning of summer low?). Maybe it was also do to my effort for my iPhone App "Photo - Infos". This reduced the time I spend on creating and uploading new images to the agencies. June was the best month ever for Zoonar.
