@ kawing921

I don't know, they MAY be sympathetic to the fact that you are young and sound very sincere.   If they do allow you to resubmit and, as you say, you only re-submit images where you've carried out edits, it is very important to put a note in for the reviewer explaining that it is a resubmission and that you have improved the image in line with the rejection comments.

@mtkang

Five warnings?  I never heard or saw that myself.

I have a bunch of images refused on SS for the poor lightning reason. is OK to resubmit the images after i resolved the ''poor lightning'' problem??? or i risk to get a warning.....

Even with a nice EL boost to give me a head start at the beginning of the month, sales have fallen the last week or two and I am again well under what I should be. As a silver who can no longer get images passed, who hasn't bothered submitting any for well over 12 months I am going to drop my exclusivity at the end of this month and go with as many others as I can. Wow, I might be able to get into SS but that would be nigh on impossible after already 4 attempts.

Personally i am not in a hurry to join IS. I past the SS contributor 1st review from the first  attempt with a very good score 9/10 pics submitted. On the IS at the first attempt i was rejected ( despite the fact that i submitted the same pictures as SS). At the second try i was rejected again and i submitted the best selling pics from SS. Now i tried the 3th time .... if i will be rejected again i will  never try again.

I really don't understand DT move; Ok, they remove the weekly sub but why they remove also the 1mounth  10/day ??? i believe they will send many buyers ( the small and middle ones ) to the competition especially to 123RF.

I don't think so.... SS is seating quietly and gain more and more market share because others (like IS and FT) are visible ''braking their necks''. So... i don't see the reason to ''go evil''.

Post by Achilles on DT forum:

''The referral share is calculated taking into account the percentage awarded to the referral. Some of the partners in the alliance program will send users to our site, as they don't have access to subscriptions but still need access to this product. Their share is taken into account just as we take it into account for referrals, in fact they become referrals in this part, because the buyer is sent to Dreamstime. Dreamstime was supporting the entire fee until a while ago, this is actually what changed. We corrected that and probably missed to announce it.''

CanStockPhoto.com / Re: Funny Rejection at CanStockPhoto
« on: November 09, 2011, 01:08 »
This one is just so amusing that I had to share it.  I just had a silhouette rejected at CanStockPhoto because it "appears to be underexposed."  It even has the word "silhouette" in the title, in the description, and in the keywords.  Underexposed.  Duh!  Ya think???

I believe this was a mistake in the review process...

I have a APPROVED photo on SS representing a stone background, and the title and keywords say abstract wood texture ( a mistake made by me).... after i discovered the error i changed the title and keys....

What i trying to say is that reviewers make mistakes in both ways;

Adobe Stock / Re: exclusive at fotolia ?
« on: November 08, 2011, 15:27 »
Course there is IS in the exclusivity game.... but to get a good return from stock you need at least 500 images online. to get 500 images accepted on IS is very hard for a beginner and quite difficult even for a Middle tier... so if somebody wants to be exclusive somewhere (beginner) DT is the best choice....

Dreamstime has better sales. They give you .20 per image when you sign up.. as if you just uploaded them.. You get 60% of your sales. So you get paid to upload images.
I am going exclusive with Dreamstime if Fotolia ever deletes my images.. ugghhh! Then I will be getting my bonus for going exclusive! Cant wait!~

Agree.... as former exclusive contributor with DT ( and very, very good results) i must say that DT is the best choice in this moment to become exclusive... Although i not recommend to become an exclusive contributor.

I see that John T Takai (the best seller on SS) sells only there; although SS do not offer any type of exclusivity... interesting....

« on: October 27, 2011, 10:12 »
Ok, thanks...

when the pictures are in pending section ( with description and keywords) the are waiting to be reviewed??... i do not need to do noting more?.

:))) Sorry for the silly questions but until now i was exclusive to DT and the variety of upload procedures of the other agencies is confusing me a little.

Canon / Re: Canon EOS-1D X announced
« on: October 18, 2011, 06:18 »
   I believe that Canon combined the 1D with 1Ds because of the 5D series... the sales for 1Ds have gone down seriously because of the 5Dmk2. In those condition was no longer profitable/justify to have two flagships (1D and 1DS). They combine the two different cameras in one with excellent IQ, shutter speed and video capabilities which can be used in sport and in the studio.
   The new 5D will be the fashion, studio, microstock camera from now on.

I wonder if this type of editorial photos will be accepted as editorial????

http://www.dreamstime.com/stock-image-carl-gauss-image20464951

Doubt it.  If it's old enough it's in the public domain and doesn't need to be editorial.  If it's not old enough to be in the public domain, it is copyright protected artwork which appears as though it will not be allowed.

the drawings are from an over 100 years old books (1905 - 1909) but they are present even in earlier versions of the enciclopedia books (1890 series)
