This is the right business relationship, we invest in creating photos, they invest in marketing and sales. Each side have to bear its part of the commitment. Correct and fairly on their part!

Does anyone know if they are done deleting images? I thought they were going to send out an email with an explanation, but I have not received one.
In reply to a support ticket I sent, Lee said there'd be an explanation of new requirements and standards in the next newsletter. That was months ago and I haven't received anything either.
My portfolio size has been steady for several weeks, but the last time I thought they were done they went on a new culling spree. I'm not uploading at the moment - until we get some new guidelines - as they have deleted many of the images that were selling well at Canva and are proven bestsellers elsewhere; I have no clue, literally, as to what they want. Even if I compare what they kept vs. what they culled I can't see any pattern or logic.
YMMV
Thanks! I'm not going to upload either for the same reasons. Hopefully they will send something out soon.
I can't understand this logic at all. When we have images ready to sell the best for the income is to upload all images to all agencies which are proven sellers. At least in Canva you just place all files in the FTP and forget to do nothing more(today i uploaded batch of 255 images and it cost me 1 min time to select the files). They have the right to take what they need. There have no exclusivity requirements. If the try is to oblige Canva or any other agency to start accepting more images this is mission impossible. Would be possible in some small agency, but it's pointless. I mean when we talk about RF microstock non-exclusive content.

Last year was the beginning and after two steps of rise (the first was last year and second January this year) it looks like in September Canva will pass to the next level(at least to me) for the third time. For sure October will be even better... It's awesome to occur a new trails of licensing. Good luck, Canva!

No agency will allow you to do that at their expense.
But all microstock agencies will. This is a classic example of the so called "closed shop" theory.
It happens to be like this because microstock agencies have found a way to make it mostly your expense by basically outsourcing the whole work to you, the photographer - from planning to keywording, you have to provide them with a finished product and they don't have any cost related to your images. They focus on storing the images, their search engines and marketing (which most photographers still underestimate). They focus on automatization, and they are pretty good at it.
I don't know what you understand as "closed shop theory". To me that term is related to an employment issue. As a stock photographer you are not employed by anyone. You are a business person providing a product. You deal with others businesses, and all of them are as free as you are to make their own business decisions at any time. You are not bound to any restrictions. You don't have to inherit something from someone else. You don't have to know someone who knows someone (though as with all businesses it helps). You don't have to buy in somewhere. If your product is good enough, other businesses will be willing (or even happy) to distribute them for you.
Yes, it's a difference between microstock and macrostock. Microstock agencies mostly don't care about the quality of your product. Their shop is big enough to place almost any product somewhere. If yours proves not to be popular enough, it will soon be hidden in a shelf in the back of the 3rd floor. The only thing they are looking for is that your product isn't so bad that customers will come back and demand their money back.
Well said Michael! The content is the King and every single macro agency would pray to have the best photos if we can offer such photos, because this is the backbone of this business.

after a while they appeared
Could you please specify when they appeared? After few hours? Next day? After few days?
Thanks.
I did not track it, but may be about a couple of days.

I still can't upload files. After uploading they appear in _processing directory with 0 bites size and don't appear on my portfolio.
Does it happen to anyone else?
I think this is not a problem. I had the same experience with 0 bytes and after a while they appeared as usual in my account.

30 photos for $2,800 doesn't look real deal, but will be awesome if it's possible. Great to see Stocksy and Snapwire in Creative Market

Too many calculations. Come on guys, do some more shots instead of losing your time of comparing eastern and western standards. There are so many examples of successful western stock photographers(having higher costs) and unsuccessful eastern stock photographers even when they are in one "cheap" area.
Then why are you wasting your time posting? Isn't this the pot calling the kettle black?
To share my vision on this topic.
Your vision is to tell everyone else to stop analyzing and start shooting? Yet you are spending your time posting that message instead of spending your time shooting to the very vision you are violating yourself? You're funny.
Please do not explain me my vision Analyze what to shot and what sells, but i don't agree to analyze how the standard of life in my country affect my success in the stock photography. Sorry, but I don't like to argue with anybody.

Deyan, I agree, but it would be nice to have a better interface, so I could see WHICH photos are deleted. I don't have the time to browse through all of them to see which one is missing, and like you, I don't think it really is important. But having no tools to sort my portfolio (to be cutout, rejected, approved, processing ...) is annoying.
I agree that there are a lot to do in the contributors interface and hope to be done soon...

Canva removed more images from my portfolio! Some of them were good sellers! I don't plan to upload more! They don't need more of my images! BTW I am one of those 100+ contributors with regular monthly payments! Or may be it's better to say "I was ..."!
This is personal point of view and personal decision, but i would say do not pay attention on this. Canva already shows us that they know what they do in all aspects, this is a part of the portfolio optimisation. All we know this, but some of us don't want to be affected. Some of my files are also removed, but this is not something to provoke me to stop uploading. I even didn't check which of my files are removed. I say this as one of the top contributors in Canva. In this forum i see everyday posts about rejections or removed accepted files and to me this is absolutely not a painful problem. Even more, this problems like rejections will grow much more in the future, because of the increase of the whole microstock portfolio. Be prepared for this We must be much more focused on the content which we will create and less on the content we've already created!!!At least i give my energy on creating new salable images

First of all is important to know zero sales of 10 images port, 10 000 or 100K? When we talk about sales there are a lot of factors around this conclusion...

It's a bit strange that SuperImageMarket and Indivstock are just after Canva in the poll. Are they really so successful now?

Just sold a 4$ image on CM and I was tax withheld on 1,2$ so Im not really sure whats going on.
My country doesn't have tax treaty with US so 30% on US sale would be normal but 1,2$ is 30% of the whole 4$ sale not on 2,8 that I get.
So or they are withholding 30% on full 4$ price or they are withholding 42%+ of my 2,8$ share.
Im really interested to hear any thoughts ?
The logic i find is that Creative Market do not work as agency to sell our work, we sell our work in their marketplace. In this case CM receive % for the service. We sell our work on the price that we want and we give 30% commission to CM, but as the sale is our sale we pay tax(tax treaty with US) based on whole amount.
