Do you guys think I should call the support since I can't upload images, I can't find any of my images, I still don't have my account set up. I tried support contact form but when I click submit I get an error, I tried opening contributor's forum but I don't have an access to it. I only have an access to audio contributor forum (which I am not for a long time now).

I still don't see my images anywhere, and I am not able to upload anything using DeepMeta. I tried submitting a question to the support, but when I clicked "Submit" the new page loaded with an error. I don't see any progress since 2 months ago, and I don't know how long are we supposed to wait for the things to get back to normal...

iStockPhoto.com / Re: ESP: All Invites have been sent out
« on: February 14, 2017, 04:36 »
I got an invitation and I have an access to ESP but I can't find any of my images whatsoever :D There is only some old information about royalties from long time ago when I was still selling music on Istock. I log in every day to see if my images will magically appear somewhere, but so far no success. So, I currently don't see any of my images neither in my Istock contributor's area, nor on ESP.

So, I wanted to contact support using their contact form on ESP. Click the attachment to see what I got.

Same thing happened to me. It must be a bug in the system.

I actually accesses ESP portal, however, for me it was set up only for music, and not for images. I contacted them... let's see what they say.

I found the unification email in my inbox. It was sent on October 31st, and it says:

Unification Timeline Contributor Tools

December 2016
Training materials provided for ESP content upload.
Scheduled for January 3, 2017
iStock.com contributor tools will be retired on www.istockphoto.com/xnet
Login details for the ESP Platform sent to iStockers
iStock contributor tools become available via the ESP Platform.

However, I don't have any emails after that sending me any kind of imformationmentioned above. No training material sent, no login details. The only thing that happened was retiring of contributor tools at Istock.

Dreamstime.com / Re: Wrong Interpreting of GPS Location
« on: December 30, 2016, 03:39 »
Anybody? I just checked Dreamstime forum, and another person was mentioning the same thing. I tried to reply, but I when I try I get the message: "You are not allowed to post on the boards for the moment."

Does that mean that I'm blocked?

Dreamstime.com / Wrong Interpreting of GPS Location
« on: December 08, 2016, 20:23 »
Did anybody notice that Dreamstime reads GPS data from the image incorrectly? For me everything was OK until my last batch, when my photos from Miami Fl were recognized as being taken in India. I figured that the only information that was misinterpreted was the longitude, because the real longitude is West, and Dreamstime thinks it's East.

I wrote to the support, but no answer so far.

Crestock.com / Re: Lately experience
« on: December 01, 2016, 20:16 »
I jumped in here to see how is everybody doing on Crestock because I'm thinking of closing my account. It's just not worth the time. Year after year my best sellers get rejected over there, and always with a reason: "Does not meet current collection needs - please do not resubmit".
So, I guess they like to make money selling only certain types of photo, and I obviously don't make those.

39
Presumably you're talking about uncompressed size?
Jpeg size depends as much on the file itself as the dimensions, even if saved at '12' quality.
That's the amount of memory the saved file uses, Sue, not the MP size.
Yeah, I know about the pixel size, but that's not really precise. Also, if I use pixel size as a reference, I still have to divide it in my head or on the calculator by 3 to get only the rough number of megapixels. Funny that there is no number in the image resize box that would show the exact number in megapixels whenever you change the dimensions.

40
Yeah, I thought so... That's what I do. I just thought somebody from Adobe already thought some people might need this feature, but it was hidden somewhere lol.

Thanks!

Guys, can someone tell me if there is a way to resize an image in Photoshop to a certain number of Megapixels? What I mean is, when I open the Image Resize box, I can change the dimensions of the image, however, if for example I want my final image to be close to 6 MPix, I have to use the calculator every time I change any of the image dimensions, and manually calculate the final size by multiplying the number of pixels of the width and height. Is there a way to see what is the final size in megapixels while changing the dimensions?

I'm not gonna bash Getty or Google here. I'm just gonna ask if I understood this correctly. So:

Getty is trying to prevent Google from showing hi-res images in their results, and wants them to show only thumbnails instead, because they want visitors to go to Getty and buy those images?

1. I personally think that if somebody wants to steal the image, he/she will click on the thumbnail, go to the host website, and download the image anyway, even if Google shows only thumbnails. For those people, I don't think that 1-2 clicks more make a big difference if they are getting what they need for free.

2. I don't think anyone can legally stop Google from scraping content from other websites and showing image results. People who buy our images for their websites are the ones to blame more than Google, because they usually remove the copyright info, and they remove the link to the source of the image. So, what Google sees is just an image, and there is no chance it will know where the image come from. The image could be from any stock agency, not just Getty.

The only solution that I see here is quite complicated to apply in reality. It would be to somehow make it a worldwide norm that every click on any image on any website always leads to the agency where the image was bought originally. Also, to force our buyers to leave the copyright info and link to a stock agency next to the image, and at the same time, to prevent any image from any regular website to be downloadable with a right click.

I'm just curious, since the sales report between Fotolia and Adobe Stock is synced, can you actually see where the file was sold?
