Is there a way to see counts per earning type? Breakdown by dollar amounts is meaningless, one enhanced sale is equivalent to hundreds of subscriptions.

All other agencies simply tag image as editorial type and do not require special treatment.

Article discuss Shutterstock as investment. In short in long run it has not chance against Adobe. For me interesting part was proposed strategies to fight back Adobe, especially one suggesting increasing percentage for contributors: As I see it SSTK has two options, sacrifice profits or market share:
Option 1)
Increase payout to contributors. ~45% of revenue at an 8% lower margin (~4 to 5 points of margin but an 8ish% change relative to its current rate) = a ~4% hit to gross profit - Adobe pays roughly 33%, SSTK 28.5%. This still does not address Adobe's captive audience in Adobe creative suite.
Lower retail download price. ~50% lower price point * ~45% of revenues = 23% hit to revenue. This would not happen immediately, but likely over time as SSTK slowly steps down pricing.
Option 2)
Maintain pricing, sacrifice share and probably target a niche in which Adobe/Fotolia does not compete. Adobe's image library targets the middle & lower market (or at least Fotolia did historically). SSTK is reputed to have had a higher quality library and is solidly middle market in quality relative to Fotolia. Adobe hired away SSTK's head of content in fall of 2015 - likely to address that very issue. Targeting the higher priced enterprise market (currently ~28% of SSTK's business) might be a viable strategy over the longer term, but given 72% of SSTK's business is currently retail, it would likely be a painful and long transition to that model.

So far they could not sell first prototype so they made another one, more expensive and fancier. It seem like the best they can achieve is to be acquired by Apple :-)

Few weeks ago I went through most of the sites to see if I can turn off partner programs. Not everywhere it is possible so I did it when I found an option. After few weeks I can see results: 1. 123RF - no change 2. Dreamstime - it is half of what I got before so maybe in long run it would improve 3. Depositphotos - similar to above 4. YAY - it dried out totally, zero.

It seems like recently files over 400 MB cannot be uploaded because connection is closed by FTP server. On other sites I have no problems uploading these files.

What's the point of handling it special if it is subscription price?

It seems like all agencies think the next big thing is mobile photography. Are they saying good bye to DSLR photographers?

The Flickr Collection will form the basis of a new house collection called Moment. Instead of using Flickr, contributors will be using the same procedure as all other Getty and iStock contributors and submitting full-sized, captioned and released images for review and selection.

500px new project Prime, a commercial licensing marketplace for 500px photography: http://500px.com/blog/998/introducing-500px-prime"First: We are pricing all licenses in a way that brings dignity to the photographer, we are not joining the race to the bottom. Our licenses will start at $250. Second: We are giving you, the photographer, 30% for every one of your images that we license. It doesnt matter how it is bought, who buys it, or under what license, your 30% comes off the top. Third: We are using the power of the 500px community to give buyers insight into how photos will be received and perceived before licensing them. Imagine searching images by potential vitality, hero status and visceral reaction. This is revolutionary and something only 500px can do."

Which cameras have worst dust cleaning system? Frankly when I switched to full frame with cleaning system I thought my problems would be over but I did not see much improvement. So here is my vote for Canon :-)
