Say what you want...it's called "checks and balances". If the map is reporting sales and the summary isn't then there is a problem somewhere. I've got image sales indicated on the map and not the summary and that my friends is an issue....checks and balances! I'm sure it will be fixed in due time....they always do.
The map was never meant to be a check and balance...it was meant as a general idea of sales and a fun widget. You guys are the ones who are claiming that the map should be correct and match exactly with your sales summary. As far as I know, Shutterstock has never said that. Show me on the site where they claim that the map matches exactly, and I will shut my piehole. :-)
Geez Cathy can't we have a conversation here without saber rattling. I thought that's what this site was for...conversation. Sorry....I'm out...

Is everybody having their sales reported correctly? I have one sale showing on the map, but not on earning page (there where you can see thumbnails of sold files)... But it looks like map is working now...
No! Today I donated 6 images. Yesterday 1. Today I will send ticket to donationstock with my list of donated images.
They will say "map is for fun, don't take it serious".

So basically they are excluding a good percentage of microstock photographers and only allowing the serious professional photographers. This is microstock and the images are selling for peanuts...if they want serious photographers who take the time to get press passes/credentials, they should pay macrostock prices for the images and not offer it on Shutterstock, a microstock agency.
Not being allowed to submit editorial images from basically any event (according to their rules below) is ridiculous. Once again, they have turned the concept of microstock into something where they can get professional photographs for a microstock price. Any serious professional who continues to submit to these places must be very desperate for pennies.
Kinda sad... well put. Thanks

Thanks, they were the only site ( BS of course too) that rejected them for this reason.

Can anyone clarify the difference between an editorial photo and a press event photo? I uploaded 5 images to SS and they were rejected for "proof of Press Credentials needed". I thought an editorial image was just that, editorial. Confused...thanks

Be careful what you wish for. Their main objective is to satisfy the shareholders first. We're just along for the ride now.

Where can one find the rejections? I never know when to check to see if they have been approved or not which is a joke considering nothing gets approved anyway!

$129 SOD a few days ago on a Image I was going to delete.
Well done Lauren! I stopped deleting any of my "poor" images that I thought would never sell uploaded back in 2005. You just never know...

Had a $96 d/l on 4/20. Gotta love it!
4/20? I think we all know what that was a photo of. http://www.shutterstock.com/gallery-1256674p1.html
Actually wasn't what you would think, strange that I didn't notice the date. Here it is: http://www.shutterstock.com/pic.mhtml?id=1133535
Beautiful shot, and one that is difficult to capture. Nice to see it paid off for you.
Oh my Doug! I just peeked at your port and I now see why you would say that! Great shots. You are now my bestest friend!

Anyone else having a run on bigstock tonight. I have had 8 D/L's marked as "Bigstock Partner - Single Unit Merchandise" in the last 4 hours. Never seen this before but welcomed. Ranging from 0.53 to 1.41. Nice surprise...hope it keeps going.

It seems that my D/L's stopped around the same time as well. Could be normal...anyone else see this or is it just my luck....thanks

Yes. This exact price changed happened to me as well this morning. $12 to $6 for a 50 credit EL. First EL in a long time. Still don't know why the change.

Got an .08 today too. It's got to be a correction of sorts. The image doesn't even show on the "world" map.

I'm trying to see if there's a way to modify the daily earnings page view. If I want to see if I have any SOD's I have to scroll clear to the bottom of the page each time. You would thing they would move it up under the EL's or closer to the top of the page so all can be seen in one page. Ok, I'm whining, I get it, just makes more sense.

Been with them since 2005...hard to believe. I'm guessing this has to do to with the changes they've been making recently.

Had images approved 2.5 days ago and still not showing anywhere. That's longer than I can remember....
