Hello all

I am a new member on istock. And I suffered several instances of rejection in the sample should be sent, for reasons still below the minimum standard istock. In fact I think I have a picture like the one on istock on the landscape. Is there any advice for me on istock?

thank you

I started last year october and now have 437 files online and only made $5 there  :-[

yahhhhhhhhhhh,,,,,,,, I expect more than that. All the time consumed by the image search and upload process. :P

Hi Sharpshot

If the 1000 image must be achieved, may also be 2000 or 5000 images. If it can make the flow of sales, it's also a good thing. I've seen in the forum, with 10000 images and over 5000 sales, but most vector illustration. If this happens, is a happy?

A raw image is only the foundation upon which to build a retail-ready product.

 8)Yes, I think so.

Is your monitor calibrated?

When I first started with micros I couldn't understand why my images were being rejected (they looked great on my screen). I understood once I calibrated my monitor...

Hi Kingjon
Thank you for help, there may be a factor because of it. (Calibration). I just use a Casio Exilim Digital Camera 26mm, f = 4.7-23.5mm 1:2.8-6.5. And I realized, is quite dependent on the sun's bright light and the position of my time taking pictures. And that the two depend on the image editing via PC.
If I were to allow only upload images with the original file without any editing, could this be more useful in CS?
That's all I want to know that I have a clear way for me, and I can learn with it.
Thank you King.

Hello all.
If I upload images, which will be better received in the CanStockPhoto? The original image prior to editing or edited?
I am concerned, if not in edit, sometimes underexposed image quality and contrast are also lacking. Or colors that are less sharp. I'm confused, lately rejected all my pictures here. Can anyone help me?

Thank you.

Go to http://www.canstockphoto.com/beach-rock-9009824.html

Then check "similiar photos" tab, and put Yourself as a buyer. Probably You prefer buy same scenery photo, with other level of quality. After all, the price is the same.

I'm not a "Yuri's successful photographer likely" but every week someone ask me the same, privately: "This kind of work will sell?"

My answers are the same for any kind of photographer:

- There's no "divine formula" about "what sells better".  Even I'm searching  the right niche for it...
- What are Your skills on photography? For example, I suck ( ok, I hate ) on lifestyle photography, so why loose time doing it against good photographers with huge portfolios? There is something that i shoot better than others? If "Yes", I'll bet on those type of subjects.
- What have You around that most of US haven't.. for example, You live on Indonesia right? What Indonesia have as unique subject? Their people, their monuments? Man, if i need get some Indonesia architecture I ( and most of us ) need spend too much $$$ to get those kind of shoots... but You don't!

Think about that.

:
 ;DHi Coisax

Your explanation makes sense. In shooting pictures sometimes we just think of a good view and good, but without thinking, how the sight, that in the search by the buyer. So I want to put my mind a pattern there. So with this discussion, I hope to improve the image object to be selected. So, thanks to your information, it is useful to my way of thinking. And I appreciate it, thanks again.

 ;DHi all.

Congratulations to you all, the blessed, is here.
Sometimes, I wonder. By looking at the turnover in the list of sales figures, sales are very rare, with a scenery topic. And that became my question is, in use for what, a buyer, buying a picture of scenery? Your answers will help me taking my image of the scenery the next time.
thank you

best regards

As I said in another thread I love the way you are so loyal to Canstock and I think one day you will be one of Canstock's top contributors. Maybe in a few years time. However at the moment you are just starting on Canstock and you are going through all the problems we all face when we start microstock. Oneday you will get big sales too like the OP, but it takes time. So one day you will only have the same problems as the OP, i.e. the problem of counting your earnings. I hope the day comes soon.  Are we clear everyone?

I'll make a song and sing it my best.

Thank you MCP

Sounds like a great problem to have, congrats!

Lol! Don't mention this problem to Santosa.

Hi, I read it. About what is this?  :'(

CanStockPhoto.com / Re: There are views, but no sales
« on: March 13, 2012, 20:16 »
well its good that your images are getting views - after all IT ALL STARTS WITH A VIEW
but instead of spending time looking at statistics - use your time wisely, and keep shooting images and uploading, the sales will start to come at some point.
the first sale I think is the hardest one to get, after that they will come a little faster

Yes, thank you. Shoot the picture, was a very exciting thing.

 Hi ....

Wow, if what you wrote is true, MCP & Mr.Duncan, wow, it's a great honor for me. Hopefully it can be realized. And I just got back today from the hunting scene on the beach. There are about 80 pictures I can. Hopefully this can be an interesting thing. So I can not quit to upload, ha ha ha .............

best Regards
