Finally close to my first payout ($8 more!!) with less than 200 photos online. Started uploading about 2 years ago but stopped after a few months because of rejections caused by the size restrictions. Now that they have lowered the minimum size, I've been uploading regularly again and get more zooms and sales. I hope they start doing well so I don't have to worry so much about losing IS sales. I upload RF and RM photos.

I wonder if IS will stay the market leader with all of the problems happening one after another. It almost seems like they are purposely trying to drive contributors away.

I still upload there occasionally when I have an artistic shot that I know won't do well on the top tier sites. I've uploaded 100s and 11 were accepted, which is fine. It kind of forces me to look at photography in a different way. Have had a few downloads and a few sales. I still enjoy the site and use my credits for artsy wallpaper. Here is a link to one photo that received a lot of comments and was in the "explore" section for awhile. http://www.photocase.com/en/photodetail.asp?i=216709

I'll have to say, those big fotosearch purchases sure make uploading to CanStockPhoto worthwhile.

I normally have a few sales every day but had a 4 day stretch, the first 4 days of October, with no sales. I would really like to know what is going on. No response so far from the email to support I sent yesterday.

Thanks for the update! Veer has been doing very well for me this year and I hope the company continues to grow and sales increase.

This whole thing with IS is so disappointing and depressing I'll hang in there with them until the end of the year and also start transitioning away. They have always been my top earner so it will be sad to see them go. Since my full time job shut down 7 months ago I've resisted going back to a 9-5 job, plus I'm one of those unemployable, over-experienced people now. So far I've been able to find enough freelance and part time work along with unemployment and microstock income to keep going. I guess I'll look at these IS changes as creating new opportunities elsewhere instead of closing doors.

I have received several payouts from Veer and there is a lag of 3 to 6 days before the money shows up in PayPal.

I just joined a couple of days ago despite their name and quickly uploaded 100 photos. Since I don't do lifestyle, this seems like the ideal site for me. Just got my first sale today of an artistic photo that hasn't sold anywhere else. I will upload the rest of my portfolio now.

I have a noticed an alarming drop in sales since they introduced the new look.

The pumpkin is interesting but the front looks a bit dark. Also, I would clean up the flaws on the gourd with the healing brush and clone tool to make it look perfect.
The landscape is attractive but the focus looks soft. There is also purple fringing on the trees along the horizon.

I stopped uploading there and rarely check the site to see if there are sales. 354 files, 45,047 views and 2 sales since I joined almost a year ago.

An isolated object with a subtle shadow can be incorporated into an InDesign document with a light colored background by using the multiply effect. Looks much better, in my opinion, than just a cut out object or with a fake shadow. When I looked for isolated objects for my company's projects, I liked to have the choice of keeping a shadow or removing it myself because there are A LOT of really bad cut out objects out there.
An object on a white background with a shadow IS isolated. Isolate: verb |ˈīsəˌlāt| [ trans. ] cause (a person or place OR OBJECT) to be or remain alone or apart from others; identify (something) and examine or deal with it separately
I'll remove the word "isolated" from the photos on BS but not the rest of my agencies because I disagree with BS on their definition of isolated. To me the keyword "cut out" is more accurate for objects with no shadow.

Well, I've been submitting isolated objects with shadows for about 2 1/2 years and this is the first time I've received a note from an inspector telling me to remove the word "isolated".

An object isolated on a white background isn't really isolated if it has a shadow.

I really like Ivan's circling vultures. Great concept! And they look very similar to the vultures in my area.
