... and the awards are?
From the Alamy blog: Weve teamed up with our friends at Photocrowd to create their largest photo contest ever and there are some great prizes on offer. You could win kit vouchers, a professional portfolio review, photo books and a bespoke contract with Alamy where you get 100% commission for a year! Photocrowds exciting new contest site lets users vote on each others work, so anyone taking part can see in real-time how their images are doing in the contest, and which ones are winning. The expert judge Alex Bortkiewicz, Director of Photography at Alamy will be choosing her own separate selection of winning images at the end of the contest, and writing some expert reviews to explain her thinking. The theme of the contest is Circles. From birthday cakes to signposts, eyes to berries, we want to see how photographers have captured the ever-present circle with their cameras. ... The Crowd and Expert winners each get: A 100 voucher for photographic equipment of their choice. Incredible exposure for the winning images through Alamys social media channels. The winning images featured in Photocrowds month-long anniversary exhibition in September 2014, as part of the international Oxford Photography Festival. The offer of a bespoke contract to have their images represented by Alamy. Theyll receive an amazing 100% of all their sales during the first year. The Expert winner also receives a professional portfolio review from Alex Bortkiewicz, Alamys Director of Photography, either remotely, or in person as part of a visit to Alamys headquarters in the UK. --- BTW, beside this one, some other contests are open on Photocrowd. I've never been heard about them, and I'm interested just to try my strengths. There are really some amazing shots among winners and participants on various contests.

You can win in a big way if you become a factory. Check out this guy:

Africa Studio--390,000+ images and growing! Who is this mystery person (or people)? They must be buying out other portfolios or other people's pictures. That's the only way I can understand having that many images.
Seriously though, who is this???

SS - Good. IS - they still exist? FT - they still exist? DT - they still exist? Big.. - they still exist? Can.. - they still exist? Deposit.. - they still exist? Self Hosted - they still exist? OK, I'm working on it. So the best for me was Zazzle with a one massive purchase of $180 among other good sales.

My best-selling image is of a businessman shaking hands with a goldfish, that has jumped out of its bowl, whilst a child blows dandelion seeds across a woman in a floral-print dress who expresses 'freedom' with her arms aloft in a sunny field.
I guess that this woman was with a small microphone to the mouth...

(Thinkstock subscription) 70 $17.50 (Thinkstock pay-per-download) 3 $3.75 TOTAL 73 $21.25
I don't know yet what to think. 70 downloads is better than zero, but 70 LARGE downloads for $0.25 each is... nonsense...

When after hundreds of rejections of your test photos from 63 main stock agencies you finally received an approval email from a new stock agency 'www.forevercheapeststockphotographsandillustrations.ki' in Republic of Kiribati.
Is Kiribati in the Vancouver area?? More specific Calgary
As Wikipedia states, Kiribati, is an island nation in the central tropical Pacific Ocean. Kiribati became independent from the United Kingdom in 1979. It is a member of the Commonwealth of Nations, the IMF and the World Bank, and became a full member of the United Nations in 1999. And I don't think Kiribati is in the Vancouver area...

@borg, @Uncle Pete - yes, I mean High Yield Investment Program.
I make $100-400 monthly on Zazzle. And I noticed that customers often don't pay attention at the prices. If they like/need a product, they'll buy it. I didn't reduce my percentage how they're asking, even reverse- increased some from 20-20% up to 30-40%, and I didn't notice any decrease in the purchases. And I'm not going to cut my portion, unless they will make a rule of some 5%. Then I will think what to do.

It is an exclusive club (not exclusive content)
"company promises exclusive content" - quote from the article. And this is essential point, beside the prices and photographs revenue.

Are they dying?..
Looks like it ... My entire portfolio also is in this millionaire club. The same "exclusive" content sits on at least six more agencies. So now customer will find my "exclusive" photos in OneDollar club and later he will see the same photos on DT, SS, IS, FT, RF and wherever you want. How do you think, what he'll think?

Because many newbies just want instant essence of our experience through years... So if they want to hear my experience, even how to become competition to me and my work, at least in that case we deserve here some kind of decency and respect...
Amen! Maybe for some quick-rich-minded newbies here on forum you could open a new discussion about HYIP? ...

Mostly I agree with JPSDK. A two more cents. A value of the image depends on the NEED of picture. That's why a buyer pay no regard to a $.50 value fantastic shot, made with $30k value Hasselblad, with a gorgeous model, payed $300/hour, BUT he pays several hundreds dollars for extended license for grainy seashore snapshot, made 20 years ago with an old, cheapest film camera. If the image is not needed, it does not have any value at all.

... only $4.95 ... Is this the lowest?
Nope. The lowest is when you pay for your electricity + Internet only, and download 80000 stock photos originals from torrrrrrents. Of course, with all possible licenses until the end of life.

Mine always came on the 14th or 15th
Same here. I contacted them and got answer that "this case has been forwarded to the Finance department for further investigation on your payment delay." So waiting and hoping that it is not a sign of some serious problems.

Hello, I used Ktool's Photostore several years ago, about a year. Used their renting service (~$50/month, with all addons, PRO version full install, upgrades, their hosting, help service, support etc). It was very convenient because I had everything in one hand and I did not have extra troubles if something go wrong. Just email them and they fix everything. I did a lot of work while creating design how I wanted to look. It was not easy but they helped me in everything. One thing only I can remember that the site was not the fastest on the web. It was fast but not as fast as I wanted But it was several years ago and now they have new versions of Photostore with even more addons so I think they fixed a lot of bugs or some other technical questions. I was really happy with them and stopped use only because of my personal reasons. It was not their fault.. Now, just at the moment I'm thinking again about using their store. Already a couple of weeks I'm checking their demo, features, addons, and it seems they did a lot of work since that time. Probably will use their renting service again. I think that $50/month is a reasonable price for absolutely full service, beginning with PRO version, all addons and finishing with their hosting. Just one question is about bandwidth and storage, so I will email them. I didn't know about Stockbox nothing. But just compared a bit them and personally for me Ktools is a winner: because of features, price, services etc. Will check more deeply soon, thanks for link.
