No need to ask Matt to change the order/priority :  simply go to your ACTIVITY page with a few clicks, then COPY the entire URL, and change your bookmark into this URL.  Finished.  I don't have to navigate to activity anymore, it's always there.
Does not work here, it always returns to the Top Sellers.
And like this you also copy the period (from date to date), so then you have to insert 2 dates every time :(

Try this one (when logged in) :
https://contributor.stock.adobe.com/en/insights/sales-earnings?

That is the link without the date limit ...

I use Payoneer for my no. 1 agency (SS) because the conversion rate is 1% better, and with the bigger payouts, that counts.
I use Paypal for all other agencies, because I buy a lot on-line, and the combination Ebay/Etsy with Paypal works like a charm, and so does the Paypal buyer's protection.
So the Payoneer/Shutterstock money goes into my bank account, and the Paypal money is spent online.

Shutterstock.com / Re: Video Upload
« on: November 08, 2018, 03:10 »
Is there some issue at SS?  I'm trying to upload an h.264 .mp4 video, size, around 100mb, and I keep getting rejections for "too large".  Tried FTP as well and they don't appear.  Any ideas?

Sean, try uploading again, but first change the file name of the video.

CanStockPhoto.com / Re: CanStock on a roll...
« on: September 02, 2018, 00:43 »
I got a very strange start of the month at Canstock :  65 downloads of the same image, all at 0,25$.  I was about to report this to Canstock, but I noticed that it had an unusual license, called "free print".   Could this be some "free print of the day" at one of the partner sites?  Any one seen something similar happen?

Canva / Re: Canva 15% tax withholding
« on: August 02, 2018, 00:51 »
As a matter of fact, they do send an annual statement, at least they did last year.  On 25th July 2017 I received a statement from Canva stating the withholdings from 1st July 2016 till 30th June 2017.  Their accountancy year ends in June, so I expected to receive another one a few days ago.  Nothing yet ...
With this piece of paper, my accountant can deduct the paid taxes from what I have to pay in taxes, though it's a very late deduction, as I will only see the results of the second half of 2018 in 2020 ...

Try this, it works for me as a workaround :

Login the normal way, and while you're on the page that has no links to your history/earnings/uploads, go to
https://nl.123rf.com/contributor/earnings.php

Now you have your earnings, and on top of the page, there's an "upload" button ...

Give it a try.

What you need is a cheap chest/shoulder tripod.  These are meant for video, but obviously also work for still images.
Something like this :
https://www.google.be/search?q=borststatief&safe=off&tbm=isch&source=iu&ictx=1&fir=crDNzAhj3G1qcM%253A%252CsfvLdTkl316d9M%252C_&usg=__BClAJJYLaci2KBTOYHm-yOKF044%3D&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjw9bnUirTaAhUFL1AKHWJbBtcQ9QEwAnoECAAQbA#imgdii=A-3TC_chyAPuxM:&imgrc=crDNzAhj3G1qcM:&spf=1523513663894
or the shoulder version of it.
It is meant for stability, but it also takes the weight off your hands/arms.

iStockPhoto.com / Re: 2012 sales tax audit
« on: April 03, 2018, 01:31 »
The difference between royalties and other income is that you do not SELL THE IMAGES, but you sell a LICENSE to USE the images, and you keep the copyright.  To prove that, you may need to show the auditors the contributor agreement and/or the license agreement, in which this is explained.

Canva / Re: Canva

Has anyone gotten any support response?  I'm still waiting from my email on my incorrect payment for February.

I did not hear from them, but I did see that the amount due is correct, which means they paid too much in February, and corrected it by simply adjusting the next payout.

Something strange happened to me at Canva today.  Usually my payment balance is the same as my month earnings, because I get pay-out every month.  This time there was a difference of more than 80 dollars.  I checked my March sales - nothing had changed.  I checked my February sales :  they are down with the missing amount.  Now if you're down 80 dollars at Canva, that means you have a LOT of sales cancelled, as they sell at 0,35 of (multi-sales) 3,50 $ each.  Did any one else notice their February sales going down?

Shutterstock.com / Re: New videos not showing up
« on: March 26, 2018, 08:57 »
My problem is different and I think it's me who's doing something wrong, not the Russians or any aliens :  I upload clips and they never appear in the section "uploaded video clips", so I am unable to submit anything.  Can any one tell me what I might be doing wrong?  My clips are between 200 and 450 Mb in size, with extension MOV.  It's not that I am impatient, as the simply NEVER appear (not even after a week).

Did it work before, or is this the first time you're trying to upload footage?

Also, it could be wise to hold off video upload from SS until this situation sorted out...

Thanks for the tip!   I did upload video, but that was 2 years ago.  Now I have a few clips, rendered them with the preset of 2 years ago, upload them just like I always do with my photos, but then they just do not seep to arrive at Shutterstock ...

I havn't tried uploading in the last week or so, so i don't know if there is some issue, but keep in mind that with videos you sometimes have to wait a few hours until they appear ready for submission.
I've only made stock footage in photojpeg and h.264 codecs with 48 KHz audio being uncompressed or 320 kbps AAC. These have worked for me all the time

Well, the problem (at my side) is not new.  Over the past 4 weeks I gave it a try several times, always with the same result :  files do not appear on the "submit video" page, but they SEEM to upload without a problem using my FTP program.  That's why I checked here at MSG if anything had changed that I was not aware of.  Like a new requirement that I missed.
It cannot be that my upload settings are wrong, as I just uploaded photos with the same program and login = success within 5 minutes (and still nothing of the video clips I uploaded yesterday, again).
Anyway, thanks for your suggestions - I suppose all I can do is contact support ...

It's been a while since I've been uploading video to Shutterstock, but I have several clips ready now.
Uploading is no problem, but the clips do not appear in "submit video" - and this for several days now.

Has something changed since my last video upload, or am I doing something wrong?

123RF / Re: 123 Contributer stats board closed for maintenance
« on: February 07, 2018, 04:54 »
I wrote twice to customer support about the 2 days with zero sales.  I never had a zero-day the last 8 years.  Their final reply was that my stats are correct and that 2 days in a row with zero sales are just a coincidence.  So I suppose it was not just the contributor side that was under maintenance.

haha! no I cant! I havent got a clue how to make buyers visit. I only supply existing clients from commissioned work with fill-outs etc, etc annual reports company profiles etc and it all happen off-line. Only clients from commissions.

Oh I see, I thought you had found a way to be a private stock agency all on your own haha!  To be honest, I think the only way that would work, is to have a true niche in an area you have access to because of your job or hobby.  Like a pilot who sells areal city views, or a zoo keeper who sells birth images of all animal species ...  As a Belly&Baby photographer, I don't have a niche, as everybody has access to babies!!!

I dont really care anymore I earn more then enough from my own library and the RM-agencies but its a pity its gone this way. Although not surprised.

Derek, can you tell me (if you want to) about your own library?   Which images do you put there (your very best exclusively, or the same as microstock?).  And how do you get clients to visit your site (or better said : to buy from your site) ?  Do they buy licenses or something else (like prints) ?  Sorry, but you made me curious.  Always thought having your own library would cost a lot in marketing (effort and money).

Hi everyone,

I've been following this conversation and I just wanted to let you all know that I just reported 250 shops to Etsy who sell digital downloads that have prohibited stock imagery in them.

If you would like the list yourself so you can also report them all to Etsy, please ping me and I'd be happy to email that list to you. If enough people report these shops, Etsy takes the listings and/or shops down.

I hope you did not report me, as my templates are all mine.  How did you check whether they owned the copyright or not?  250 shops sounds a whole lot of checking out (congrats if you did!).

I love participating in photo workshops, I have done at least 15 of them already the past years.  When I surf on the net, looking for my next one, I look for (1) Is the organizing photographer any good (so I want to see HIS images of the area, (2) can he teach (so I want to see photos shot by his guests, and (3) does he teach from 9 to 5 or does he get us out of bed for sunrise images and does he work after dinner for sunsets?    So if he puts stock images on his website, and they are from his students, these images should be on a separate webpage titled "student work".  And the page with his OWN images should (evidently) be better.  And if he shows sunrise/sunset images like these, he should put in the tour's description "including sunrise and/or sunset sessions".  I hate it when workshop leaders use the best time of the day to "review and discuss the images of the day".
So as for me, this is NOT OK, because it's not clear who shot them.  If these are shot by his students, he should be proud of them and credit them.  And I DEFINITELY do not want to go on a workshop with some one who's never been in that country himself (even if he uses a local guide).

If there's a Getty spokesman who told the seller he could resell digital files, I think he told that to more than one seller ...
I already found two almost identical shops, in different countries :

I am selling on Etsy too, but not just my stock JPGs.  As a newborn photographer, I know parents love it if I make "dream photos" of their baby, like a baby sleeping on a toadstool in a forest (you love it or you hate it, I know).  What I sell on Etsy are the LAYERED TIF files of my finished dream photos, without the baby of course.  So other baby photographers in the world might buy a "template", cut out their client's baby and put it in one of my layered TIF's.  As I am far too busy for extensive marketing on Etsy, my files are not selling very well (about 350 dollars/year), but as I am making the templates for my own customers, there is no extra work involved except putting them on Etsy.  Every file I sell is accompanied by a very clear TOU in which is explained that the EMPTY template can never be sold, but it can be used for as many babies or other composites as they want.

To LivingstoneAtLarge and other sellers on Etsy I ask :  the reason why I would not sell stock images in large numbers at Etsy is that you have to pay money (about 20 cents) per file, which would be quite a lot of money if I would do that with thousands of images.   Is this also true for larger quantities?  And if yes, then I understand why you sell them as "collections"!

174
Would this not be a subject better suited for movie clips?   (or both)

I'm confused about what you mean about "another site is selling rights to your image". Do you mean an iS partner, e.g. Thinkstock, one of their 'associate' sites like Spiderpics, a totally unrelated site which has stolen you image, you have sent the image to another agency which you would prefer to sell the image, or ...?

No, it's just Dreamstime who sent me a request for "buy the rights".  I'm not exclusive at IS, so my images are also at SS, DST etc.  At DST I have put all images at "rights not for sale", so if there's a request of a client, they cannot sell the rights without consulting me first.  IF (it rarely happens, hence the "IF" in capital letters) the clients decides to pay the price, then I have 72 hours to remove the image on all other sites.  That is no problem with most sites ... except Istock of course ...
